Welcome to our west coast home that is only a short walk to the beach and 5 minutes to downtown Parksville. Enjoy our little sanctuary in this quiet neighbourhood, with our large backyard and patio. Our space brings to life traditional west coast style with cedar finishings. Sun streams through skylights all day long, enjoy the indoor space or outdoors. The Lazy J - a peaceful farm in a natural setting

Welcome to the Lazy J Ranch. We offer a self-contained walkout basement suite that sleeps four comfortably. The suite has a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a bathroom, and a fully fitted kitchen/living room with a sofa-bed. It has its own patio with table, chairs and barbecue, and a view out over the fields and the forest. Nestled on 13 acres, The Lazy J is home to our alpacas, horses, goats, chickens, dogs and cats. Walk down the trail to watch the animals, and relax beside the creek.

Englishman River Park and the famous Hammerfest trails for bike and hikes. Fast Times amusements is just 10 min away with fun for the whole family. Parksville beach is a short 20 min comute. Cathedral Grove is 30 mins away for a beautiful stroll through the massive standing B.C. trees.

The Bunkie - Nanaimo's forest retreat

'The Bunkie' is a private home tucked away at the foot of Mt. Benson, offering a comfortable place to escape from the stress of daily life. This 1350 sqft fully-furnished one-level home with wrap-around deck was built in 2017. The home is surrounded by 8 acres of quiet forest, and only steps away from a multitude of recreational trails. The Bunkie is ideally situated as a 'homebase' from which to explore all that beautiful Nanaimo, and Central Vancouver Island has to offer!

This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is pet friendly (additional fee) and is available for bookings for five nights or more during the summer season (2026 onwards) and two nights or more during the balance of the year. The cabin is situated on two floors, with a loft style third bedroom and bathroom on the upstairs level.
