Our second home is a mix of mid-century modern and "cabin in the woods." It sits on 2 heavily wooded acres and backs up to a mountainside with rock outcroppings. The main living area (living room, dining area, and kitchen) is raised about 4 steps, and the bedroom and bath areas are on the main level. There is one large bathroom with a shower. There is an electric fireplace surrounded by ledge stone in front of the u-shaped built-in sofa. There is abundant reading material & 2 TV's.

The newly remodeled Little Farmer House has 2 bedrooms. It's super cute, cozy, and the best place to relax before and after your scheduled events. The window views are peaceful and this house has its own large yard, a grill and chill patio, and the cutest little miniature horses and donkey just next door at the Superhost's house. Dogs only. Located east of Athens/ 10 -12 minute drive to I-65 and Hwy 72/ 15 minute drive to Madison/30 minutes to Huntsville/Extra parking available.

You’ll love staying in this quiet, peaceful cabin in the woods because of its coziness, high ceilings, natural light, and location. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. Very beautiful cabin. Much larger than it seemed in the photos. Beds were very comfortable and we loved the private feel of the cabin tucked away off the main road. We also loved the fact that we could explore the entire property, although we were limited on time due a local event we were attending. We would love to come back to have more time to just enjoy the cabin and the property. David was very friendly, with great communication and even made us aware of grounds keepers being onsite to pull trash and other chores well in advance. Looking forward to staying here again.

Deannà was such a great host! She gave us a small gift for us being there on the night of our wedding and allowed us to keep our car under her car port during a bad storm while we were there. She even offered to let us seek shelter in their basement if needed. She was super responsive and everything was beautiful. Wonderful location and view and wonderful little house! Would definitely recommend and we hope to be back someday!
