Cabin vacation rentals in Elkin

My girlfriend and I had a great time spending the weekend at Tucked Inn and, for the most part, everything went as smoothly as expected! We arrived late, and there was a gentleman there starting some work on the property’s hot tub. We got in touch with Donnie using his phone, and my understanding is that the repairman was meant to arrive earlier in the day. I don’t necessarily believe it was any fault of the hosts that he was around. The drive up is straightforward as long as you follow the instructions the hosts provide; the path requires 1.5-2 miles of unmapped travel, so a GPS alone won’t quite get you there. Although I would definitely recommend traveling with a higher-clearance vehicle, my compact sedan made it up just fine with some caution and patience. Overall, Tucked Inn was a great space to unplug and unwind which is something we both really needed. It’s a very cozy and low-tech-vacation space I would hope we have the chance to come back to in the future!

Exactly what my family needed to relax and recharge! The cabin was super clean at check in. It was also bigger than I expected and had plenty of space for us to spread out and relax. The views from the porch were breathtaking. Can't beat having coffee in the hot tub watching the sunrise. We enjoyed hiking, floating down the river and ended each night with s'mores around the campfire. The town was cute with lots of shops and great ice cream. Host was super responsive and gave detailed instructions prior to our visit. Quick to respond when I asked for local recommendations. Looking forward to coming back next year.

This cabin is truly a gem! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views and the peaceful presence of local wildlife. Both the cabin and location were absolutely beautiful! Tucked away and private, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to get away. The hot tub worked perfectly, and was very clean. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay! The details in and around the cabin were awesome. Even the ring on a nail game on the back porch was a simple yet unexpectedly really fun game. The hot tub over looks the pasture was very relaxing without being able to hear any other noises. The campfire area was another very nice touch with a well supplied amount of campfire wood. Peaceful and very private. 15-20 minutes to a steakhouse among many other restaurants. 10 minutes off I77. We also enjoyed hiking at Stone Mountain State Park and Pilot Mountain State Park that were within 30-40 minutes.

We had a lovely stay, the porch was definitely our favorite part and it had a nice kitchen. As he mentions you at in the country so there are bees and bugs. We did kill two wasps inside in the bedroom both days but that was to be expected with the description.

Loved staying here! Very peaceful and the river was very nice for fishing.

Thank you so much for sharing your vacation rental with us. The cabin is very secluded and peaceful. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, sitting on the screened porch, and watching the wildlife (several deer came by to say hello). The hot tub was an added bonus (and clean). Our group thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful weekend away and highly recommend this property!

We loved staying here! The cabin was perfect and it had everything we needed. The bathroom was nicely updated, the kitchen and linens were clean, and the couch and bed were super comfortable! Great amenities in a beautiful place for a reasonable price!

This was the most relaxing, peaceful and carefree weekend we have ever had. My husband and our 2 kids and 2 dogs had the most fun, and we didn’t even feel the need to be on our phones or watch tv! The cabin felt like home; so much so, that we didn’t want to leave. My husband and I are already planning a trip back. Carey was an amazing hostess and we are so appreciative that she opened her home to us. The views were breathtaking. We literally sat outside all weekend. We only went inside to cook and sleep. Oh! And we got to enjoy a meteor shower Saturday night! Super awesome!! And, even cooler, there’s a dollar general market at the end of the main road! Coolest thing I’ve ever seen! So you don’t need to bring a bunch of food! We drove 5 hours to come stay here, and honestly, I would drive 10 just to come back. This cabin was every bit of home and we can’t wait to come back!

We loved staying at this Airbnb. The location was perfect for day trips to Grayson Highlands State Park, as well as to Sparta, Galax, etc. The house had lots of room to spread out. The kitchen and bathroom were stocked with everything we needed. The downstairs bed is extremely comfortable. The location/surroundings were beautiful -- and it was very quiet! We sat on the porch, listened to the river, watched the wildlife, and used the fire pit. A couple FYIs: Since there's no wifi in the Airbnb, I did want to mention that cell coverage is spotty. Also, the upstairs bedrooms have low ceilings, and one bedroom doesn't have a door (which wasn't a problem for us, but could be for other folks). Overall, we had an amazing trip weekend and are so glad we were able to stay at this location. Our host was very responsive and helpful. We will stay here again if we're in the area.

This place was the perfect get away spot. The surrounding were beautiful and we were tucked away from the neighbors. Cute little trail behind the cabin with a creek, our son loved this. We enjoyed sitting out a the fire every night and sleep peacefully. Trent was a great host! We will definitely stay here again if we are out in that area again!

What a gem! Perfect little cabin perched up alongside a babbling brook. Exceeded our expectations. Had everything we needed and more. Bugs were not an issue at all. We spent most of our time on the back porch and down by the water at the fire pit. Comfy bed. Very clean. Great and friendly communication. We will be back!

It was a really really wonderful place to get away from everything and just be. I used this time to write music and the acoustics in the church were just incredible. The sounds of the waterfall are so relaxing and the porch is the perfect place to enjoy your meals. Can’t wait to be back and can’t recommend enough!!!

The cabin is beautiful and spacious. We loved the peaceful feeling both inside and out. The jetted tub was a great feature and there was both a gas and charcoal grill available for us. We loved sitting out on the sliders on the deck and the swing around the fire pit. Hopefully it is available the next time we come visit our daughter.

It was in a peaceful setting and was not far from town. We enjoyed a great meal at Southern Main.

A guest really needs to like rustic to appreciate their stay here and we do. It wasn’t cold enough to start the woodstove so instead we enjoyed the peacefulness of sitting, or rocking, on the porch (only a few sounds of birds, a rooster in the distance, and a cow). The beds were awesome with such crisp clean linens and we had a beautiful night’s sleep. LeeAnn graciously made sure that we had everything we needed.

The place is absolutely perfect for visiting the nearby wineries. Pictures don’t do it justice and the scenic privacy is off the charts.

We love staying at Jeremy's! The space is well-organized so it feels so much bigger than it is. I especially love the kitchen set up with a giant island for cooking. The gardens, stream, firepit and location are all beautiful.

This was a cozy cabin! It was very clean, and the communication was very fast! My kids loved how cute this was and didn’t want to leave at all. It is a very peaceful place. I would love to come again!

Had a great stay at this cool cabin! It was the perfect blend of comfort and charm. The space was ample and well-maintained, with thoughtful touches throughout. The complimentary firewood was a great bonus and made our nights by the fireplace relaxing. Another unexpected perk was the solid DVD collection, which gave us some nostalgic movie nights in after spending the day exploring. Overall, it was a peaceful, relaxing getaway and we’d absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended.

This was a fantastic place for my trip. Nice little cabin in a peaceful setting. Barbara was very responsive to any questions. We enjoyed fresh eggs ans some homemade jam left for us by the owner, what a nice surprise! The place had everything we needed and was close to plenty of activities. We will definitely book again. Great hosts!
