Pet-friendly vacation rentals in El Gigante

A peaceful and comfortable place. The ac was such a relief from the 90+ temps outside, which made sleeping so comfortable. The first night there was a power outage. We since learned this is very unusual for more than a a couple minutes. But maybe pack a little battery fan just in case. So far it's our favorite spot to stay in Guasacate. Very spacious, peaceful, and secluded.. The stars were beautiful. Ian and Sydney answered any questions we had promptly. 5 stars!

Nous avons passé un séjour de 2 mois plus-que-parfait. Anika et Tony ont été des hôtes super accueillants et très réactifs. Si vous souhaitez vous immerger dans une petite communauté nicaraguayenne authentique, c’est l’endroit qu’il vous faut. 3 plages à proximité, toutes accessibles à pied. Il y a un minimarket à 2 min à pieds pour tous les essentiels. Mon copain a fait du télétravail et le wifi était bien parfait. Un petit bijou! Nous y retournons l’an prochain.

I booked this place for 2 nights for my wife and family (8 guests) We had a great time , it rained the first day but there is space on the property to relax and stay dry. Helpful and friendly staff and a really nice Place to stay with guests. Would recommend.

Such a beautiful place, love the house layout and the views are awesome… Very comfortable place with everything you might need for your stay. Rudy and Alex (Rudy’s place caretaker) are very kind and friendly people, always eager to make your stay the best they can.

We’ve stayed at many houses in Hacienda Iguana and this house was by far our favorite. It’s got an amazing layout and gorgeous furniture + comfortable beds. But I’ll always remember the spectacular wrap around screened in porches on both levels. We stayed with our 4 month old and it was so beautiful to give him his midnight bottle in an Adirondack rocking chair on the screened in patio off the main bedroom…precious ‘new mom moments’ under the moon, stars, with the sound of the ocean (you can hear the waves at Panga Drops surf break). The property is located directly across the dirt road from the most secluded part of the beach. We had gorgeous evening walks at low tide sunset and came home to cook dinners in the well appointed kitchen. We had coffee by the crystal clear pool in the mornings and really enjoyed being walkable to Rancho Santanas Taqueria + the cute restaurants in Iguana. Bonus: we decided to elope! The place is very pretty and the host very responsive. She provided an accommodation for the heat. The only downfall was that the water pressure in the showers was at a minimum which made it inconvenient for the amount of time we stayed.

Can't say enough about Casa Margarita. It was a wonderful trip, made even better by a communicative, helpful, engaged owner. I'm hesitant to write such a glowing review because I want it to be available when I return to Guasacate next year! It would be a fool's errand to try to encompass my thoughts, as I'd leave something important out, but it's a safe bet that you'll enjoy your stay at Casa Margarita. I'll certainly be back soon.

Nos quedamos en la casa proxima a la piscina, el alojamiento cumplio con todas nuestras expectativas, es muy espacioso, la cocina tenía todo lo necesario para poder organizar nuestras comidas y las vistas son espectaculares. Las habitaciones tienen buen tamaño e iluminación. Además tuvimos la suerte de poder participar de un evento/encuentro que John había organizado y que incluía una cena muy completa en un ambiente súper familiar, recomiendo preguntar a John sobre sus eventos e intentar coordinar la estadía con uno de ellos para vivir esa experiencia también. Gracias por todo John, con seguridad volveremos!

Sin dudas uno de los mejores Airbnb en los que nos hemos hospedado en San Juan Del Sur! El anfitrión fue genial siempre estuvo pendiente de nosotros dándonos indicaciones y haciendo de nuestra estadía más tranquila. Si teníamos alguna duda o consulta Jimmi respondía casi que de inmediato! El apartamento súper elegante, cómodo. Un espectáculo ver el atardecer desde la bañera que se encuentra en el punto más alto, era una locura la vista de la bahía desde ahí. Sin duda volveremos a visitar este lugar muy pronto.

Highly recommended, everything was excellent, the location was great, the house was great, the view was excellent, the host is very attentive and friendly, 100% recommended a very safe place.

The apartment was beautiful and had absolutely stunning views. Everything was spotless, and the kitchen was fully equipped with all the utensils we needed, which made the whole experience super comfortable and convenient. The space felt cozy and welcoming—just like being at home. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic place to stay in San Juan del Sur. Would love to come back!

Nice location away from the noise of san juan. We had a car, so the distance did not bother us. Do keep mind there is a limit for the amount of watts you use. It was a good amount daily and we actually didn't even hit the max, so not a big deal.

Primero me gustaría mencionar que Juan Pablo y Uri fueron geniales de inicio a fin, hubo un pequeño percance al inicio de la estadía pero lo resolvieron sumamente rápido, con excelente actitud y nos retribuyeron con creces el pequeño inconveniente. Estamos especialmente agradecidos con Uri por su rápida y excelente atención. Les deseamos el mejor de los éxitos para el 2025 en el cual seguramente regresaremos! Les recomiendo muchísimo hospedarse acá!

Le logement est en tous points conforme à la description, confortable et calme. La terrasse, les hamacs et les chaises d'extérieur incitent à la détente. La situation géographique, à une minute de marche de Playa Maderas et de Playa Majagual, est idéale pour qui cherche à profiter des vagues pour surfer, des baies tranquilles pour se baigner, tout en étant à l'écart du chaos urbain de SJDS. Il est facile de manger et de boire, à des prix raisonnables, dans les restaurants et bars situés à proximité, sur les plages. Pour les visiteurs souhaitant cuisiner eux-mêmes, il est primordial de prévoir de tout apporter avec soi - le commerce alimentaire le plus près est à environ 25 minutes de pistes, principalement non-asphaltées. Nous y séjournerions à nouveau sans hésiter.

Our stay at Todd's house was refreshingly delightful. The house, with its expansive yard, was a hit with my son and pet, offering ample space for play and relaxation. Todd's swift and helpful responses to our questions made everything run smoothly. Thank you Luis. Great place. Cool container! Close to Gigante. Less than 20 minute walk to Playa Amarilla to surf. Nice and chill A/C. A little dark at night so plan accordingly on your walks back from town. Where you can find great views at Monkey House. Quality rental surfboards at el Tumbo. Would visit again.

Nos gusto mucho el lugar , la vista es muy linda al mar , incluso la playa está cerca , solo tienes que bajar unas cuantas escaleras, hay un bar Justo frente a la playa , el lugar tiene todo lo necesario si quieres llevar para cocinar , tienes una vista preciosa desde la habitación. Cómo recomendación lleva repelente o baygon para mosquitos y otros animales que siempre salen por la luz al ser un lugar rústico.

I recently stayed at Mike’s place within the Iguana property and had a great experience. The location is excellent, situated right next to the entrance gate. Mike was super helpful and always available to assist. Although the description doesn’t specify, the bed is a queen size, which is slightly larger than it appears in the photos (a double bed) a pleasant surprise! The beach is about a 10-15 minute walk away, or just a 3-minute drive. Since we had visited before, we were aware of this detail. Initially, we were concerned about potential noise due to the proximity to a brewery and restaurants, but it was quiet, and we slept well. We’ll definitely plan to go back!
