Vacation rentals in El Empalme

Honestly it’s exactly what is described. Location is great close enough to the beach to get there quickly- 4x4 definitely required but worth it. I made it in my crossover but high 4x4 ideal. I got photos of a howler monkey! I saw hummingbirds, agoutis, bananas and pineapples, not ripe yet but still beautiful. No air but honestly with the fan blowing right on my I slept like a baby… until the howlers anyways… still awesome. Advice for travelers book it- do not hesitate- plan to sleep in very little with a fan and you’ll do splendid. This is a legit jungle experience and worth every moment. My favorite stay by far in Costa Rica. Take drinking water WITH you (they told me but I didn’t listen so reiterating for folks like myself😂) and enjoy!!

Huge space by the beach. Right below a beach bar, but they seemed to have closed at night so noise was never an issue. Will happily return!

Our little family lives every moment spent at the villa! We felt an amazing combination of luxury and home like feeling. Everything was clear, clean, well thought through! Morgan went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay. HIGHLY recommend! Thank you for the amazing stay!

We absolutely loved our stay with Diane! The property is stunning in a perfect location, we saw so many animals roaming around the property and it felt like we were right in the jungle. It's also walking distance to the beach and some restaurants. The cabins are more stunning and spacious in person, so clean and well maintained and it was such a dreamy stay. You fall asleep and wake up with the sounds of the jungle and the ocean, it was the best place we stayed in in Costa Rica and most authentic, best sleep of my life and can't recommend it enough!! Diane was an amazing attentive host, so sweet and friendly, always willing to help and giving us local tips. Would come back in a heartbeat, this place is fantastic :)

Ariela was a wonderful host . This place was true paradise , The house was perfect it was spotless the location was great . We had blue morph butterflies and green macaws visit us in the beautiful yard . The pool was great to cool off in . Can’t wait to return !

The Jungle House at Playa Bluff was a great getaway destination for our 2 families, with 4 adults and 6 children, ages 4-11. The pool was great and the sleeping arrangements worked well for us. There is a decent kitchen, but we mostly ate at nearby restaurants or on our daily adventures. The house is about a 25 min taxi ride from the main town and the road can get soupy, but any of the truck taxis can easily get to the house. The beach is stunning, although not great for swimming with rip tides and currents. The host was super responsive to all questions and I would highly recommend this house. We even saw sloths and monkeys right around the house.

My room was cozy and inviting, making it hard to leave! But let’s talk about the pool! 🏊‍♀️💦 It became my personal slice of heaven. I loved starting my mornings with a swim, surrounded by lush greenery. The sunsets by the pool were straight out of a postcard! 🌅 Every moment was filled with peace and joy. Jessica’s villa is absolutely stunning – beautifully located in the heart of nature, with breathtaking views all around. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were in paradise. The house itself is super comfortable, stylish, and very “hot” in every sense – both modern and full of character! Surrounded by lush greenery, tropical birds, butterflies, and even monkeys, every morning felt like a scene from a dream. It was the perfect escape from the city and a chance to truly connect with nature. We completely fell in love with Costa Rica – its peaceful vibe, amazing wildlife, and kind people.
