Had a wonderful 5-day stay as a 30s friend group - the house is absolutely stunning, and felt like a real luxury. It's only about an hour's drive from Faro Airport, AC was great, kitchen really well stocked even for a bit group and the outdoor area / BBQ were ideal! It's in a peaceful neighbourhood (up a massive hill!) and far enough from the other houses to feel private. It was super easy to Uber into Lagos for only €5-7 euros each way - drivers weren't at all daunted by the location, and are fearless with the tiny old town streets in Lagos proper! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone seeking to explore the Algarve :)

I cannot thank Carmen enough from booking to arriving! We were a group for a hen party and Carmen’s could not have helped more by sending us recommendations for restaurants and also booking taxis. The villa was great and really secure with plenty of room. The pool was great fun and there are plenty of extras that Carmen can sort! If you are looking this the place to book!! Don’t look anywhere else!! Thank you Carmen for everything and I know we will be back!

Sophie’s place is so perfect, we loved it during our 7 night stay. Amazing location, and the space was beautiful. We enjoyed everything about the house and the area. Highly recommend

Asa’s home is a great spot for a family vacation, it is very comfortable, located in a peaceful complex with a beautiful pool and in close proximity (walking distance) to a beautiful beach. The children enjoyed the home so much as it also had a small playground next door to the house. There were two other areas also within a walking distance with restaurants and other beaches. All in all greatly recommended. Thank you for the beautiful visit. 🤍

We stayed for a week with our baby and had a wonderful time. It‘s a super peaceful, beautiful place - especially the surrounding grounds are magical. The house itself is simple but cozy and very charming, the terrace overlooking the property‘s nature is a wonderful place to hang out and chill, and we made good use of the BBQ and outside shower. At some point we had a power outage, but Ana dealt with it promptly and professionally. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a retreat in nature.

We thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Even with bad weather the pool is warm and the setting is wonderful. We will book again in a sunnier month!

Our stay was simply wonderful – we didn't miss anything! The communication with Peter was excellent, he was always available, helped us with all questions and gave us great tips for the area. The place was very clean and well equipped – everything you need is there. We especially liked the large garden, which offers a lot of privacy, as well as the pool, which is perfect for cooling off. Lovely and peaceful stay and a perfect location to explore the amazing area in and around Tavira, a truly underrated part of the Algarve. The house is perfect for a small family. Very chilled, off the beaten path. Great stay and super easy!

we had an amazing stay at Casa Semaphore. the house is beautiful and so well equipped we didn't want for anything. the provision of a daily cleaner was great for the basics and it was lovely to have our beds made every day. The house is up quite a steep access road which limited some of our party being able to go for a walk from the villa but we had cars so that wasn't a massive issue for us. the outdoor dining area provided space to eat and socialise on an evening enjoying the incredible views and amazing sunsets. The pool was a bit chilly but understandable for the time of year. we still managed to get in it plenty! overall an amazing experience. ❤️

Absolutely perfect stay — 10/10! This was the ideal place for a visit to the Algarve. Rosa was hands down the best host I’ve ever had on Airbnb. From the moment I booked, she went above and beyond. Before I even arrived, she sent a detailed guide with everything I needed to know about the property, plus amazing recommendations for local restaurants, sights, and hidden gems. The home itself was spotless, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a fantastic stay. I truly couldn’t recommend this place more — I’ll definitely be coming back!

The location was perfect. That’s why this was our second visit to Villa Bonita. We cannot recommend Tiago and his property highly enough. Tiago was quick to respond and ensure we had everything we needed. We stayed there for 2 weeks with family and friends in 2023 and just enjoyed another 3 weeks with family. The property is very homey, doesn’t feel like a short term rental. We enjoyed exploring the area and found plenty of wonderful dining options nearby. Hope to get back there again. Thanks Tiago.

We’ve just spent a relaxing week at Quinta do Sol. We loved that the location is rural and peaceful but there’s a supermarket 5 minutes drive and Tavira town about 10 minutes drive and beaches not much further. The house is comfortably furnished with good kitchen and bathrooms. We really enjoyed the pool and shady terrace area (which is about 100m from the house) Sophie met us at the house even though we arrived at 9pm and was always really responsive to any messages. We accidentally locked ourselves out and she came quickly to our rescue! She also recommended some great beaches. We would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Quinta da Janela Azul for our first family holiday with our 6-month-old. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The apartment was excellent – modern, spotless, and beautifully finished. The pool area was perfect for relaxing, and the BBQ made for some lovely evenings. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and it felt like a home away from home. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our first holiday as a family!

Unfortunately, we only stayed two nights in this beautiful apartment, would have liked to stay longer!! But you have to know that the apartment is not directly in Faro, but in Estoi (about 20 minutes by car). The place is very quiet, nice and really Portuguese.

We loved the beauty of the view and the location above Dona Ana beach and being close to the boardwalk to ponte da Piedade. You are also close to old town Lagos for restaurants, as well as to the marina. Joanna was very helpful and responsive and the condo was well equipped, with beautiful dishes and everything you need if you wish to cook.

We are Evelyn and Piet from Germany and stayed for the first time in a village in Portugal. We enjoyed it incredibly. Paula and Joaquim's house is a dream. We loved it and felt right at home from the first second. Getting to know Paula and Joaquim was very, very warm. Likewise, the entire time of our stay. The two of them put in an incredible amount of effort and made us feel like real friends. Maybe they'll even come visit us in Germany this year. We'd love that. The cottage is actually even nicer than what you can see in the pictures. Paula worked with an incredible amount of attention to detail. It couldn't be done more beautifully. The decoration and especially the cleanliness cannot be better. Opposite is the magnificent swimming pool with its beautiful surroundings. A great oasis to chill and for me to paint.

Eva's place was the perfect place to call home in Lagos. It's in a quieter area of the city but still walkable to everywhere. She was very helpful with instructions and advice for our stay and had someone to greet us while she talked us through the place via video call. lots of attention to detail and a very nicely decorated place, but still practical. If you're a light sleeper, ear plugs for the seagulls would be a good idea, but that's the same for anywhere in Lagos. Was able to find parking each day too and instructions in guestbook were great for confirming parking spots. Highly recommend.

An incredible place with an amazing atmosphere. A spacious property located in a quiet area surrounded by forest, offering complete privacy and relaxation. The house is stunning, decorated with exceptional style. We felt extremely comfortable here. I cannot say anything but positive things for this place! It truly felt like home. It was in the perfect location to not only a beach nearby, but walks around the area. Highly recommend this location to couples and solo travelers!

Pure tranquility and nature, ideal with a dog. Susanna was always easily accessible, accommodating and friendly. Upon arrival, a nice welcome, homemade soap and a bottle of wine awaited us. The place itself is a dream! We will be happy to come back!
