Romantic cottage for 2 with wood fired hot tub

RuthRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Wow we loved this place so so much! Firstly it was within the most peaceful setting you could imagine. Sitting out in the garden was so serene, and the wood fired hot tub was a fun bonus! Inside was immaculate, so cosy and homely! Absolutely everything you might think you need was supplied! The upstairs bedroom/bathroom was dreamy! Surrounded by lovely walks (the coastal footpath was only 5 minutes walk away) and close by to some gorgeous Devonshire villages/towns, I genuinely couldn’t fault this property! Hopefully we will be back soon! ☺️

Stylish Cornish Cottage

ColinRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a great break at Harper's Cottage, Richard and Ute were great hoss.. We had a great welcome and quick tour, lots of good recommendations for where to eat out and about the area in general. All the small touches at the cottage add up to a great stay. Well equipped kitchen, lovely linens, dog beds, great shower, great hot tub, all of it was Fab. The cottage was very private, with amazing views from the garden and the conservatory. We hope to visit again next time we are in Cornwall.

Orchard Cottage; hot tub, tennis, spacious grounds

JoshRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Lower Marsh Farm is brilliant. Wonderful location, excellent facilities, peaceful and calm. Due to the rural location, you do need a car to get there and navigate the area. Olivia the host is incredibly attentive, the instructions for getting there are clear, the optional services are excellent, and the setting is idyllic. We visited with two young children who were captivated by the wildlife and farm animals. Enjoy!

Foxes Walk Cottage, Cary Arms & Spa

DanniRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Booked this house for a hen do. It was beautiful - the photos really do not do it justice. The cottage was pristine, had everything you needed. It was decorated tastefully, and was the perfect setting for a group of hens for the weekend!! The Cary Arms who manage this property are amazing hosts - so proactive, friendly and accommodating to the many many requests I submitted including having an ice bucket on hand for arrival, extra prosecco flutes for drinks, flexible check in. The only word of warning is the very steep road the cottage is located on. It’s not for the faint hearted!! But they are so helpful in moving cars for you where required. We finished the weekend at the spa which was just what the doctor ordered!! Followed by lunch at the inn which was delicious. Overall a wonderful team and house!! Great memories made this weekend and our bride was over the moon

Dream oasis for 2 w/starry nights & cosy delights

JennyRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Emma and Kevin couldn't have been more welcoming. Oystercatcher is a lovely place to stay and the private hot tub was perfect for us. Kevin made sure it was ready for when we wanted it. Touches such as the tea/coffee/ milk/Luscombe Elderflower Fizz made the visit and the homemade biscotti was perfect. Even the dog had a bag of treats. There was alot of information about the locality, including walks from the property and personal recommendations once we arrived. The location is very peaceful and the garden was beautiful. We will stay again.

Thyme cottage was such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. The cottage is characterful and comfortable and well equipped. The fireplace was a wonderful, warm touch. The village of Woodbury Salterton is charming and friendly and close to Exeter. The Diggers Rest is a must! Stop in for a friendly pint or even better for a meal. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. Thyme cottage will be among our top stays.

The Granary

IanRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Katie and her family were very friendly and welcoming. The Granary was available to us well before the check in time and Katie advised us on best directions to find the farm. The accommodation was very clean, well equipped and felt like home from home. A lovely touch was the fresh Devon time and milk. The shower is very powerful but there is no curtain/screen to enjoy it to the max. Although towels are provided, take a big bath towel if you like to wrap up. The Granary is located on the courtyard of a working farm but is extremely quiet. The patio, down a couple of steep steps, is set in a little garden overlooking the Tamar Valley. It was fabulous to sit in, after a days walking to enjoy the peace and watching the huge variety of birds visiting the bird feeders. A great place to stay for visiting the Tamar valley and surrounding area. We would definitely recommend it to anyone and will return again when we are next down in Devon.

Luxury, thatched Devon bolthole on Dartmoor

EllieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Ben's cottage was stunning — we loved every moment of our stay. If it were possible to give 6 out of 5 stars, I would have. The surrounding area was breathtaking, we enjoyed wandering through the fields and visited the vineyard, where we sampled some fantastic wine. There were also some excellent local pubs close by, all serving delicious food. Everything felt convenient, peaceful, and just perfect — there wasn’t a single thing we could fault. We’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.

Thank you Luke & Beccy for a great few days. We needed to relax but still have amenities around us. You were right, we didn’t need to move the car once it was parked. I know we could have travelled & explored but it was more about relaxing in a home from home.

Everything was first class, very comfortable beds and pillows, spotless bathrooms with proper size towels, plenty of good cutlery and tableware, utensils for cooking if you wanted to cook. The house was a delight with lovely deep sofas overlooking one of the balconies to the ever changing landscape of the waters beyond. It would be hard not to enjoy whatever the weather throws at you! Wanted to come back as soon as we left! The cottage and its surrounding areas are absolutely stunning. Perfect for a relaxing getaway and a change of scenery. We were given a lovely recommendation for the Rugglestone Inn which we absolutely loved! Easy access to the moor and nearby village of Widecombe. The cottage is fully equipped with everything we could ever need. Not to mention its log fire which brought the whole place together as well as its comfy bed! We will be returning at some point in the near future! Can’t get enough of the place!

We visited Salcombe with our good friends and neighbours for the two men to celebrate a significant birthday this year. Sophie's cottage was perfectly located for the activities we had in mind with a fantastic outlook over the estuary and very close to shops, bars and restaurants. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable.

Cable Cottage, beach front luxury in Salcombe

JonathanRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Cable Cottage has just become our favorite holiday home! it's beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated - all the bedrooms are en suite and it has all mod cons throughout - the fact that it's right next to the beach was a winner for all the family (all three generations) we definitely want to come back for more next year!

Had a lovely stay. Very clean and had everything you needed. Very quiet secluded location. Near to the beach with a 15-20 minute walk. Only downside you do have to drive a while to be near things to do so unfortunately a little too remote for us and my 8 year old son. If you want quiet chilled location then it’s great!

Very comfortable place with spectacular view over the ocean (the sunset!). Unfortunately we had to shorten our stay and wish we could have stayed longer to explore more of the area. The kitchen is well equipped and we were able to make the evening meals at the house which was convenient as we were travelling with a baby.

Forget-me-Not, studio annexe Stancombe Farmhouse

AlaaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My family and I enjoyed staying at Sophia’s place. The cottage had everything we needed. It is very unique and beautiful country cottage. We visited salcombe and Dartmouth and seen lots of beautiful landscape on the way. Of course the country lanes were very narrow especially that we are not used to drive on them however with time, driving gets easier. There is no nearby supermarket and one has to drive on these country lanes to get anything which is not an easy job in the dark. My advice is to make sure you buy every you need from kingsbridge before you go back to Sophia’s place. We enjoyed the pool and the stay was amazing ; however the place is very dark at night that misled us to a different cottage initially when we arrived until Sophia came and took us to our cottage. Hence try not to be lured by the beauty of Devon and go check in during the daylight. Thank you so much Sophia ♥️
