Family-friendly vacation rentals in East Macedonia and Thrace

Our stay at Villa Umami was great. The house has a great location, very short walk to the best beach spot. We had everything in the house, perfect kitchen, clean bathrooms and bedrooms, very comfortable outside seating areas, very large living room etc. George was very helpful for all our questions, he gave very good suggestions for local restaurants and attractions, even he was very kind to make us a reservation to a very popular reataurant. It was our one of the best airbnb experiences.

We had an amazing stay. The place was spotless and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. And the location is incredible: beautiful ocean views and a 3 mins walk - via a private entrance - to the beach. Great communication with the hosts and the local recommendations for boat hire companies and restaurants with high chair facilities were very helpful. Aris and Anna also organized a WiFi router for us - so great! While there is a beach club close by to the house and we could sometimes hear faint music being played from the club, it didn't disturb us - especially when we discovered that the beach club was super chic and we could eat delicious meals there (we went there 3 times during our stay!). Highly recommend.

Discreetly located on a hill, surrounded by 20 ha of land, the villa with swimming pool offers a fantastic view of Drama and its surroundings. The architecture of the house is fantastic and the decor of the rooms is extremely stylish. All rooms have air conditioning and the kitchen is fully equipped for the kitchen. There is a Greek tavern in the neighborhood and in a few minutes driving distance there are two supermarkets. The sea is about 40 min away. Distance, but the property is so nice that we stayed there most of the time. Last but not least, Anna, Achim and family are great hosts.

Jenny is not only a super host but a wonderful, kind, helpful person. We traveled with 3 more families (in total we were 8 adults and 5 kids) and we had everything we needed. Jenny’s place located in a peaceful area, the house is really nice, very clean and we had everything (all the amenities) we needed there. More than this there is enough space inside and outside. Outside there is a spacious terrace and a playground area dedicated for kids. The nearest beach (which is wonderful and baby friendly ) is approx 5-7 min by foot. Jenny provided a lot of recommendations for restaurant, takeaway, beaches and many more so do not hesitate to contact her if you need something. This is a great place to stay. We very much enjoyed the beautiful house, the gardens, the swimming pool, and having breakfast and dinner in the outdoor dining area. The house is in a quiet spot a short walk to the village of Prinos and a 15 minute walk to the beach through a country path surrounded by breathtaking fields of ancient olive trees. We had easy communication all along with Rania, who was very friendly and helpful. We were nicely welcome to the house by her mum, Mrs Jenny, who leaves next door. She was willing to arrange meals and provide help whenever asked, while her assistant maintained the pool, the house and the garden in tiptop condition throughout. All in all this is a unique place that made our stay a very enjoyable one. We would certainly come back if we can.

We spent wonderful time with all our big family and had amazing incoming surprise from the Tasos Stella. Garden is beautiful and weather was nice. Sea is closed, so we enjoyed nice time on the beach too. Many thanks to Stella and Tasos!

An exceptionally welcoming and helpful host! Our stay was lovely — the bungalow was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The garden was absolutely beautiful — peaceful, well-kept, and perfect for relaxing. We were visiting to celebrate my mother’s birthday, and the host was incredibly thoughtful and responsive. I had quite a few questions about ordering a cake, flowers, and other details, and she replied patiently and helpfully every time, making sure everything went smoothly and stress-free. Later, we had a small issue with the key card, and I contacted her again — she responded immediately, explained everything clearly, and helped us solve the problem quickly. We’re truly grateful — highly recommended, especially if you value kindness, quick communication, and genuine care from your host!

Nice place to stay , and houst is very nice person.

A house with character and history. Maybe it may sound gloomy to some but it was a nice experience for my family and I. There are antiques. Only grease was missing in the kitchen. The house had a stone courtyard. There is a nice area for breakfast but you should take precautions with bees. I wish it was in an olive grove like the pictures, but that was enough.

Lonely villa with space and tranquility. Nice welcome by Maria who takes care of everything. Very clean. The nearby street can hardly be heard, as it is above the house. To the (wild) beach about 150 m through the garden. There were five of us and we all slept comfortably. You get peace and solitude, even at the beach.

The villa is amazing, way better than what you see on the pictures. It is located next to olive tree garden, away from the main road so it's super quiet and peaceful. The view to the sea is amazing as well. To us, the best part was the garden, extremely well maintained with grass and plenty of flowers. The beach is about 5 minutes away from the house which is very convenient. Ellie's mother took care for us during our stay and she was sooo kind and positive. Definitely one of our best stays in airbnb so far. Highly, highly recommend.

We had a fabulous 10 days at Akile's place in Kallirachi. The villa was lovely and we enjoyed the view and the pool. Akile was very helpful and accommodating with check in and bringing us a fan as it was so hot - thank you. Great place to stay :)

We stayed here in a group of 10 and had such an amazing time. The villa is beautiful and has everything you need, the pool area is 10/10, all the rooms were clean and spacious. Evgenis was so proactive, helping us out in every way possible- even arranging a cake for my birthday!! We did a private boat trip, and took taxis into kavala town, it’s such a beautiful town, we felt like the only tourists there! The quiet beach is a short walk away and so are some amazing restaurants. We couldn’t fault this accommodation, and would definitely recommend!

Really great location for families need to rest and still have Thassos island at your disposition, house have everything you need for a great vacation, either great pool if feel like not to go to the sea on some days, few Taverns walk distance, or fancy ones if want to drive, if have pet will feel better than home:) About Tassos the host, almost he's reading your minds what you will need :), will feel real Greek hospitality

We recently had a wonderful vacation on the island of Thasos, staying in a fantastic accommodation. The house was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. We had everything needed for comfortable living. Special thanks to our host Orestis. He was very hospitable and always ready to help. He gave us many useful tips about local restaurants, beaches, and interesting places to visit. Thanks to his recommendations, we discovered real gems of the island.We will definitely return here again and recommend this accommodation to everyone planning a trip to Thasos!

We spent 6 nights at Orestis and it was guaranteed not the last 😋 We were personally and very warmly welcomed by Orestis and felt right at home. The house is quietly located and despite the three other houses on the premises you have peace and privacy. The view of Mount Ypsarion is gigantic. The house is very nicely furnished and has everything you need - the beds are very comfortable. The pool was still really refreshing and perfect for cooling off. The (shared) outdoor kitchen has rounded it all off and invites you to grill e.g. fresh fish. At this point, thanks again to Orestis for the great recommendations 😊 I'm sure we'll be back.
