Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in East Bay Township

This place is a gem. The free bikes were clutch to ride around town and check out the distillery and breweries. Shorts has such good food! Do not sleep on the pretzels! The room, shared outdoor area and jacuzzi were lovely. The water flow sounds and the wildlife were amazing, lots of sweet deer to fawn over. I would definitely return!

We really enjoyed our stay at spillway! Very unique set up, everything was basically brand new, spotless and well maintained. We even brought our ten month old and it felt like we were right at home with him because of the conscience of have the kitchen to wash and warm bottles! We will definitely be back!

We’ve stayed in the Legend Cottages before and same great experience as always. Room was exactly what we needed for a golf trip.

We had a little hiccup at the very beginning, however, Vicky was extremely responsive and immediately fixed the issue. Beds were soft and comfy overall a wonderful stay!

Beautiful and spacious place. Immaculate- wonderful beds and location. Communication was excellent. We cooked almost every evening- the kitchen is very well stocked. Space allows for time as a family and alone time. We loved it!!!!

It was like a resort but with the ease of an Airbnb. Great location. Great amenities. Great bed. Very relaxing!

I can’t say enough about this wonderful place and the great host. They were highly responsive before and during our stay. When I saw the photos, I thought it was too good to be true - but it wasn’t - everything was as exactly described and as pictured. I wish we could’ve stayed longer. Will definitely go back and have already recommended to multiple friends in the area. This place is the best!!

My husband and I booked a stay for our anniversary and loved everything about this place. We walked into town everyday, ate at Short’s, grabbed treats from Ruthann’s bakery, and had breakfast at the lunch box. The cold plunge, sauna, and hot tubs were all incredible. We took a short drive to torch lake and enjoyed dinner at the Torch Lake cafe, and a sunset on a beach on Grand Traverse Bay. We ended our weekend with one last trip to the sauna and cold plunge before heading home and left feeling so relaxed and refreshed. We can’t wait to come back.

I stay here every year and it never disappoints. Great location, lots of space, tons of activities, and friendly hosts. Looking forward to staying again next year!

Jeffrey’s place was perfect for our quick weekend getaway. It was a perfect location for the ski hill and lodge. His place had everything we needed, and was very comfortable & clean. He was also a very responsive and helpful host. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

This place is so beautiful, I would live here if I could. The views and scenery are breathtaking. It is so peaceful and calm. Ppl are so friendly and responsive to whatever you may need. We had a wonderful stay at Richard's condominium! The condo is apart of a larger resort, Shanty Creek, and with the passes that were left for us to use, we were never bored! We explored the Lakeview Hotel and pool amenities there, the private beach, and the Shuss Mountain resort as well. This was especially nice for the 12 year old we had with us. There was a couple staying next to us (not under Richard's purview), who had loud dogs who would not stop barking but after messaging Richard, we heard them very rarely and then not at all, so we really appreciated the timely response we had from him and the action he took by informing the HOA for that condo. The little touches here and there were also really appreciated, like the fan/lightbulb fan charm cords so we knew which cord was for the light and which was for the fan. We plan on coming back for sure! Highly recommended place for people of all ages to enjoy.

We had a great stay in Traverse City. The location was amazing. You can walk right out to the beach and pool area. Being on the first floor was so nice and easy to get in and out. We never had an issue finding parking any time of day. The host was very helpful and responsive if we needed anything. Would definitely stay here again!

Easily one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve been to. Jim was very responsive and kept us informed, and his assistant Jenny was there at check in to show us a tour of the house. The attention to details was amazing, and we felt like it was a home away from home. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the Traverse City area.

We have stayed at many rentals and this was by far one of the better ones. Friendly and responsive host, very clean, well equipped kitchen. This was a family ski weekend rental and it held all 10 of us perfectly. Was easy walk back and forth from skiing. Cozy fireplace. Would definitely rent again. It is a true gem!

Brandon’s place was the perfect peaceful location for our weekend family get away. The home is clean, well stocked and well organized. We enjoyed the hot tub, some of the many yard games and taking walks around the property. We appreciated the flexible check out time they offered us to celebrate Easter with our family in the area. They even went out of their way to return a coat that my daughter left. We can’t wait to return!

We had 6 adults and 5 children (ages 6 years to 6 months) and there was plenty of room for us all. Loved having the different levels and the fire pit so that while the kids slept, we were still able to hang out! Great location, very easy drive to Bellaire and even Cheboygan. Would highly recommend if looking for a trip with family and or some littles! Debbie was great with communication and answered any questions I had as well! Very clean house too!

The place was great for our family getaway. It was clean and cozy, plenty of towels and blankets to make you feel at home. The kitchen had all of the essentials and some additional items as well. The smart TVs made it easy to watch our favorites during our down time, but our favorite features were the air hockey table and the hot tub! The hosts were great communicators, quick responses and helpful with our requests too. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a place to stay in Gaylord.

Our 3-generational family of 12 spent a lovely time at Sam and Jesse's place. Our group included 2 grandparents, 4 parents, and 6 youth (ages 4-20). We really enjoyed the peaceful setting: plenty of room for the kids to run outside or enjoy a camp fire. Kids loved the lower level entertainment room to watch movies or play games. Adults loved spending hours in conversation on the screen porch. Plenty of space for everyone! We were a 30-45 minute drive to our different destinations, so a car was necessary. There is a gas station with a convenience store very close by for any essentials. The older generation was appreciative of the main floor master bedroom/bath, which allowed them to minimize stairs. Please note: as described by host, the house is not baby proofed and there are no doors restricting access to stairs, home gym, or game room. Therefore children do need to be properly supervised and/or good at following directions about proper use/restrictions of entertainment area and gym.
