A beautifully comfortable bungalow, with high standards throughout. Superb beds: showers and bathrooms beautifully set out with copious amounts of hot water. Kitchen facilities excellent. The open views across countryside to the Pentland Firth from the lounge in evening sunshine particularly memorable. This was also a great jumping off point for visits to the Castle of Mey( really interesting visit) lighthouses at Dunnet Head and Duncansby Head, learning about unknown WW2 history of the area at Castlehill Heritage Centre, lovely cliff walks to see puffins, guillemots, arctic skuas hassling and being hassled -and only 10 mins from Pentland Ferries route to Orkney. Elizabeth was a warm and friendly host, providing a good welcome pack and an unobtrusive background support. Also gave us some interesting detail about the area. Altogether a splendid stay. Fantastic place. Well need after a long travel day. Would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing.

Very rarely do we encounter a place that is more beautiful than shown by its pictures. This is one of those places. The garden is stunning and very quiet. At night, one hears the wind blow through the leaves of the trees in the garden but only a gentle breeze comes through the windows. Andy was very helpful and set up the cot for us before we arrived. Julie and Phil’s little cottage is hands down one of the best & cleanest Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. The location is perfect and easy to find, with fresh sea air that makes the stay even more refreshing. Communication was excellent throughout, and I couldn’t recommend it more. I’d 100% book again.
