Large sheltered garden, with spacious terrace at the chalet. Elevated plateau in the forest, overlooking nature. There are many cycling, hiking and MTB routes in the area.

The chalet has a spacious garden (500 m2!) and offers privacy. You can enjoy the sun or shade at any time of the day. Relax in the hammock among the trees or plop down in one of the lounge chairs.

Three national parks within a 10-30 min drive and lots of options to go on a walk or a run right outside the camp ground. Right next door are Museum de Proefkolonie (UNESCO), Zeemuseum Miramar and the Museum of False Art. Hunebedden are within driving/biking distance. The booking is excl. a park fee of € 3,50 p.p.p.n., to be paid at the reception of the camp site upon arrival.

The location of the chalet is on the edge of the beautiful and well-maintained park 't Wildryck, in the forest where both cycling and hiking tours run through, as well as an ATB route. The garden is designed in such a way that you enjoy maximum privacy, where you can relax in the hot tub and/or sauna and enjoy the sounds of birds around you.

You are warmly welcome in log cabin de Merel on our cozy little Estate Camping near Dwingelderveld National Park and Weerribben-Wieden. The campsite, with 8-10 places, is located at the rear of the monumental manor farm. In the former haystack, there is a unique can museum and country restaurant in the summer months. The beds are made up upon arrival, and towels and kitchen towels are provided. In consultation, we will bring clean towels and kitchen towels.

The chalet has a beautiful location where space and tranquility come together. It is a perfect base for walks in one of the park forests of Oldeberkoop or a nice bike ride to Appelscha, for example. In the evening, with a little luck, you can see the deer appear at dusk!
