Beachfront vacation rentals in Dover Beach

My partner and I stayed for a week in Jess’s apartment, whilst I surfed and remote worked from the UK and close to my partners home in Oistins. Jess’s cosy apartment was just what we were looking for, private, quiet, comfortable and with lots of outside living space. The breeze blows through all the open shutters making it nice and cool and we enjoyed dinners in the garden and afternoon naps in the hammock. The apartment is a 5 minute walk from Freights Bay to surf and 20 minute walk to Miami Beach and Oistins for the shops and places to eat. Jess was the highlight of the trip giving us loads of great recommendations and an all round great host and person. We will definitely be keeping in touch and saying again!

Lex’s place had it all. There is a beautiful beach right outside the back door, it’s walkable to a grocery store, several cafes and bars and the Friday fish fry. We also could grab busses right outside the house to get to Bridgetown for more beaches and restaurants. Walking around felt safe (well lit) but of course be aware of your surroundings and the cars wiz by so be aware of where the sidewalks are. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space. We loved how there were lots of towels and pillows! The only thing to prepare for is that the second bedroom gets traffic noise so maybe bring earplugs if you’re sleeping in that room.

As a first time traveller to Barbados, Tonia was the best host and made our stay memorable. She was quick to help out with our needs and also suggest the best spots to visit. Thanks Tonia!

My husband and I fell in love about 8 years ago with Barbados and this was our 8th visit to Barbados. We booked this villa about 3 days prior to our arrival, and were impressed with the quick communication and very easy self check in. The villa is beautiful, nice and white and bright. The beds were very comfortable and it was spotless. Plenty of beach towels and bath towels! It was lovely sitting on the deck watching the surfers, we felt safe and happy in the Freights Bay Area with a quick walk to Miami Beach, the location of this villa was convenient and within walking distance to the fish market and Masseys grocery store! A lovely villa in deed and another wonderful vacation in Barbados.

Salty toes is unbelievable!, and it's a must visit! From the cleanliness of the house itself to the sandy beach coming right up to the outdoor seating area, simply amazing! It's one of those places that's quiet and off the main street but it has everything on its doorstep! lovely bars, restaurants, food courts, lovely boardwalks etc it has it all.. the house was spotless, fully stocked with everything you could imagine. Big cooker, big fridge freezer/ washing/ dryer facilities. Salty toes has ample space for families. Two big seating areas inside for eating at, and then the outdoor area just has to be seen! Amazing! All 3 bedrooms were huge, crisp clean linen and all beds with memory foam mattresses! We'll definitely be back to Salty Toes, home away from home. I'd be giving this place 20/10! Great place overall! The unit itself is roomy, recent and clean. The location couldn’t be better; on The Gap, but not right in the bars section so it was quiet at night but you just had to walk 5 minutes to get to the action. Great host and his co-hosts were great as well. My wife and I really enjoyed our time and will be looking to come back with our daughters!

We had a fabulous 2 week stay at La Canoa. With 6 of us there was plenty of space and we loved hanging out in the garden and on the veranda. We especially enjoyed the wildlife in the garden and the direct beach access. The kitchen was great, fully equipped and clean. Chris was a great host and swiftly responded to any questions we had. Having never visited Barbados before we could not have asked for more. La Cabane, the closest restaurant to La Canoa, serves the best food in a perfect location. (walking distance) We loved being by the harbour and rum distillery, there was something quite unique about this location. I would recommend hiring a car if you are staying here although we used the buses, we also explored further afield to the East and South coast Thank you Chris for providing such a wonderful place to stay in Barbados.

We just returned from 6 absolutely gorgeous, sun-soaked days at Villa Sunkiss and we’re already dreaming about going back. From the moment we arrived, the villa took our breath away. Every room was thoughtfully curated with an elegant, beachy Caribbean vibe that made us feel instantly relaxed and at home. The kitchen was a dream—fully equipped and just perfect. But the real magic was the beautifully maintained, super comfortable outdoor space with jaw-dropping views of the water from every angle. The only tiny downside was that the sea wall stairs had been taken out by a hurricane last year, so direct swimming access from the property wasn’t possible. The location overall couldn’t be better—just steps to the lively St. Lawrence Gap and despite being close to the action, the neighborhood felt peaceful, safe, and super friendly. Cathy our host was fantastic and always available by text. This was the kind of stay that sticks with you long after you leave and we can't wait to come back!

We were there for a family reunion. Lots of us were scattered about at LC , Salty Toes, Barefoot Bay etc. so the location is great for convenience, grocery shopping, bakery etc. Lots of sea weed at this time of year which is not great. But can’t beat location for convenience. If you plan not to rent a car, it is easy to move about on foot or by local transport. Noisy though at night as a busy junction.

Everything you could want in a vacation place. Quiet beachfront out the back door and local exploration out the front door. Snorkel with turtles literally out your door or hop on a “boogie bus” and go touring to nearby beaches and restaurants! The place was beyond my expectations!

This listing was great. Perfectly located near to restaurants and groceries. An ideal central location in my opinion and we felt safe as the compound is gated. Our luggage was lost but the list had a wash/dryer with detergent so we could keep our clothes clean until our luggage was returned to us. An overall great stay and I would recommend.

My group had such a great stay here at our first time in Barbados. The condo was spacious, clean and had nice touches like a coffee maker, laundry, smart tv, and rainfall showers. The beach access was great, and the infinity pool on the roof was lovely. The staff in the building overall were nice and helpful. The listing pictures match the condo, and we would definitely stay here again.

From our first enquiry to check-out, our experience with Preetam and this property was exceptional. We were traveling from Ireland with our 3-year-old and 5-month-old and were a bit nervous, but everything we needed—travel cot, highchair, baby bath, even kids' plates—was ready for us. Though there were no reviews when we booked, we were quickly reassured—the apartment was even better than the photos. Thoughtfully decorated and fully stocked, it’s clear a lot of care went into every detail. We’ve traveled a lot, and this was by far our best accommodation experience. Having the sea right outside was a real treat, and the beach was quiet and peaceful. One note: we’d have been lost without a car, as most restaurants and amenities are around 30 minutes away, there is not a lot in the immediate location. Definitely ask Preetam for restaurant/ disk recommendations! You are in for a treat! It really was the most beautiful place to stay, thank you.

One of the best holidays I’ve ever taken - Ocean Blues is simply one of a kind, we lucked out and had the entire villa to ourselves - which was an added bonus for travelling in the shoulder season. The amenities are just as described, but don’t really do it justice - a private little area to swim into the ocean, with a lovely pool oasis on the deck overlooking the vista. It’s truly spectacular! The room is very comfortable and with even better view. It has everything one needs - plush bed, solid shower with pressure and hot water, clean and tidy. The housekeeper Lana was truly an angel and took such great care of us - her hospitality and warmth truly made the experience special and very memorable. Lastly the nearby La Cabane is a must try and swimming over to Batts Rock to soak in the afternoon rays was our highlight. Thank you Justin, we look forward to our next visit! Kevin was an excellent host, always available and responsive about questions we had as well as many recommendations for things to do/places to see. We were pleasantly surprised that the balcony was bigger than it looked in the pictures. You cannot beat the view of having a private balcony literally on the beach. The beach in front of the apartment did have lots of seaweed the time of year we went so we didn't spend too much time in the water there, but Carlisle Bay is a short 15 min drive away for the perfect lazy beach days we all wish to have on vacation. Carlisle bay also has excellent snorkeling if you bring your own gear and don't mind a leisurely 100yd swim or so to get to the shipwrecks. Having the waves as a natural sound machine made every night pleasant and restful as well as having AC in the bedrooms to keep it nice and cool. We highly recommend renting a car vs using public transport so you can have a lot more freedom to roam the island on your own time.

We absolutely loved our stay. This is our second time staying at the home. The pictures you see is exactly what you get. The private rooftop patio is large with view of the ocean. We enjoyed having coffee and breakfast there. Also a perfect way to watch the sunset. The location is perfect, walking distance to enterprise beach, supermarket, lots of places to eat and Oisten. Simone was very responsive and attended to any questions we had. We are returning next year to Barbados and will be staying here again.

Rachel’s place is a wee gem ! She is so kind and friendly and works really hard. The apartment was much bigger than it looked in the photos. Lovely balcony to watch the waves. Excellent welcome pack with some basic groceries which was much appreciated . Chilled vibe on the beach and Rachel provides loads of loungers and umbrellas etc to use . Great having a washing machine . Quiet street but very handy for main road for buses . The Chinese restaurant down the road was good as is the roti shop, St Lawrence gap easy to access on foot or by bus for the Cafe Sol end. Loads of good options there .Check out Rebell Burger which is next to Dover Market and we also liked the Park Cafe next to the Massey stores in Worthing . Food tours with Lickrish were fun as was the 4x4 Island Safari. Definitely recommend ! Thanks Rachel !

We really enjoyed our stay, especially the views from the patio where we spent the morning drinking coffee and having breakfast. Location was close to good restaurants and the unit had plenty of space to accommodate our family of 5. The pool was a good size and perfect to take a late afternoon swim after an exploring the island (and was in the shade for the late afternoon). The location felt very secure with gated access to/from the beach, the street, and interior doors that were locked late in the evening to access the elevators. Parking spot is very narrow and was a bit tricky to navigate, but we made it work.

We absolutely loved this condo! The view from the balcony was absolutely spectacular. The location couldn’t have been better in terms of walkable, restaurants bars, grocery stores, etc. Would highly recommend this place. One tip bring your earplugs. The reggae bus likes to start honking its horn around 6 AM & the bar close by blasts music until 2AM but I would still highly recommend this spot!

This was a special trip celebrating my granddaughter’s graduation. After a long trip, coming into a spotless white home, with a beautiful outdoor living room complete with water feature was perfect. We were 3 women, 3 generations, and we all found it perfect and spacious. LR and each BR had a/c that worked great. Inside was very quiet - great sleeping. The community pool for swimming was within 50 meters. Note - the water next to the outdoor living room is not for swimming but is lovely to sit next to. Gloria had been very patient answering my questions prior to our trip, so I was prepared with things to do and how to get there. Many great restaurants are along St Lawrence Gap. Also a convenience store next to Mimosas Restaurant had essentials. Easy to walk 8-10 minutes to get to them. One might feel a little apprehensive walking at first but it was VERY safe. Just be careful crossing Hwy 7. Beaches in Barbados are public.Access is marked. Rent Chairs and umbrellas there.

We had never visited Barbados before and we were not sure what to expect. I reached out to our host and asked for help getting from the airport to our Condo. We were a party of seven and he arranged transportation for us. There were 2 vehicles waiting for us when we exited the Airport doors. We had numerous bags that we had brought with us. The ride was reasonable, comfortable and air conditioned. Peter met us when we arrived at the Condo and answered all our questions about the home and the area. The Condo accommodated the seven of us well. The large balcony over looking the beach and the pools is amazing. We enjoyed the near by restaurant's, many to select from, in walking distance. The beach worked well for us. We rented lounge chairs on the beach every day near the beach bar. They serve low cost but great cocktails with or without alcohol. I always rent a car on vacation but this time a didn't. I never missed it. I highly recommend Peter Karl and his Condo! Pat Estep

What can I say, Kerry & Nathan were super hosts. Greeted me on arrival at their wonderful Airb&b. Very friendly and made me feel at home straight away. A wonderful hamper of food awaited us to tie us over for breakfast the next morning and beyond. Their home is spotless and Sasha the cleaning lady came twice a week to change bed linen and general cleaning. Location is exactly what we were looking for. Only 5-7 minutes walk to Oistins (lively in the evenings) but far enough away to have peace and quiet and watch the wonderful sunset in the evenings. 15 minutes drive from the airport. Kerry & Nathan keep up your fantastic work. You are a credit to the Airb&b industry. Thanks again for a memorable stay. Martin 🇮🇪
