Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Dordogne

Everything you hope for in a AirBNB/ Gite in France! We stayed one week with our teenage kids this October. The house is old but has every comfort needed including a large fire place and a washing machine. The atmosphere is right and every room is decorated in a unique way. The garden is large with lots of places to sit, lounge and a table to have breakfast, lunch and even a bbq for dinner. We spend lots of time in the hot tub and at the very nice heated pool. Pascale is a wonderful host, she waited for our late arrival, she had snacks and even breakfast for us to get started, she provided nice bathrobes and towels for the pool, had great local recommendations and was always available for a chat. The place is a little secluded but that was just right for us. Lot’s of fields and forests with plenty of wildlife, we did lots of long hikes with the dog. And for a visit to the market, a restaurant, castles, etc most places are less than 30 minute drive. Highly recommended!

Christiane's apartment is in a beautiful location and is well placed for visiting numerous attractions in the Lot and the Dordogne. The apartment is spacious and very well equipped. Christiane was a superb hostess. She gave us a very warm welcome, explained everything to us carefully and was extremely helpful. I can wholeheartedly recommend both Christiane and her apartment.

Béatrice and her hubby were very warm and welcoming. 🌸 The breakfast had a huge selections of yummy food. Béatrice gave us many suggestions of places to visit and even made a dinner reservation at the Château for us. Highly recommend a stay here among the beautiful villages surrounding it.

We arrived, my 2 sons and I, on motorcycles earlier than expected and were hosted very well by Odile. The motorcycles were parked in the garage. We ate the Périgord menu prepared by Odile which was excellent, quantity and quality. We slept well, the bedding is comfortable. Breakfast was perfect too. Thanks Odile

We really enjoyed our stay. Christophe was very friendly and we enjoyed our visit with him on the terrace. A nice breakfast was provided that we really appreciated. We were able to park our motorcycle right in the enclosed yard. Thank you to Christophe and his wife for sharing their lovely space!

Nadine and Daniel are warm, welcoming hosts. A guided tour of the estate was given to us as soon as we arrived, telling us the story of this family cottage. Breakfast was perfect! Our stay was punctuated by Nadine's recommendations advising us on restaurants and activities to do in the area. A real favorite for this bucolic peaceful retreat and a big thank you for these moments of authenticity.

Very nice room on a quiet property. Kathy is a thoughtful host who welcomed us with great hospitality. The room is well decorated and the amenities are as described. The bedding is of very good quality. Gourmet and varied breakfast. Always good advice that allowed us to discover unusual places or good places to eat, thanks to Phillipe too. We were hosted very well and will be happy to go back.

Highly recommend Neil and David’s converted barn accommodation. We stayed in the one bedroom section. Comfortable bed and excellent shower and private. Varied breakfasts provided either served under the pool cabana or in our room. Extremely friendly, hospitable, attentive hosts live in main house and always available with advice on Dordogne area, villages , markets and places to eat. Short drive to Belves medieval village. Enjoy the peace and quiet and relax in the beautiful 7 acre rural property - magnificent garden and trees immaculately maintained by Neil and David to be happily shared with guests.

I can truly say that Ruth’s Bed and breakfast was the best that we have stayed in years!! Ruth is a wonderful hostess, welcoming and informative, as well as being a brilliant cook! Her breakfasts are amazing! My only regret is that we were only able to stay one night in this special place. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

We spent a beautiful week in the middle of August: the place is very quiet, exclusive, close to all the spots in the heart of Périgord. The room is exceptional, so is the environment. We had a great time at Mathilde and Martin's place. The place is sublime, the house very warm. The common areas are very, very pleasant to live in, you almost feel in nature while cooking. The huge table invites for long discussions with the different hosts of the house. It's modern, welcoming, soothing, bright, friendly. We were with our one-year-old baby. She was able to frolic everywhere in complete tranquility. Everything was provided to host children. Thank you! And it was a nice meeting with Martin and Mathilde. You managed to do a very nice project of this house, well done! To summarize: we spent our stay wondering who we'll be coming back to spend a week or two with. We loved it so much that it already makes you want to come back! Looking forward to it!

Our 1 night stay with Gaby and Werner was just wonderful! We could have easily have stayed a few nights longer if time would have permitted. The B and B is located in a beautiful location, the house is nothing short of stunning, we really appreciated the history of the home and the fact Gaby and Werner were happy to explain the history of the home. The house is so warm, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. We opted to enjoy the 3 course meal, wow, the quality of the food and wine was first class. We loved meeting Kiki the dog and the four cats, makes it so homely. The absolute best part for us was the conversations we enjoyed with Gaby and Werner, such kind and friendly people. We recommend this B and B, try to stay more than one night!

Samantha is a very friendly and welcoming host. The room we booked for two allowed us to accommodate our daughter at the last minute, who was not planned for at the time of booking. It was very clean, functional and very spacious. The Pompadour site was an 8-minute drive. Breakfast was generous and fresh. Thanks for your hospitality.

We were welcomed by our hosts like members of the family. We were treated so kindly from the moment we arrived. We were hoping for a short quiet rest from a motor tour of France. We received a mini retreat, nothing was too much trouble and many things provided were above and beyond. I’m excited to return and visit Delphine and Geoff as they commence the next chapter at Maison Cistus.
