Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Dominica

Le logement est bcp plus spacieux que sur la photo, ce qui rend l’intérieur vraiment très agréable! La vue depuis le balcon est très jolie. L’emplacement est parfait pour rayonner sur les différentes randos du morne 3 pitons et pour se balader à roseau. La piscine est grande et agréable avec une grande terrasse. Bref logement très agréable et Tina et Harry ont été très gentils avec nous et très arrangeants

Jon's place was ideal a few days Airbnb. Jon was off-island so he left detailed communications with friend, Gerry was very responsive and pleasant. The view was fanstic from the balcony and Scott's Head itself was very peaceful and calm - apart from the bar right beneath Jon's place which wasn't busy but the music can be heard clearly from the apartment - luckily we liked the music :)

Randy and his daughters were always helpful, and would go out of their way to make sure everything was at its best for us. They made the Airbnb experience the way it should always be, a home away from home. Thanks

Un endroit super, perché sur le morne Bruce. Corinne est super sympa, de bons conseils et prête à vous aider si besoin (et française, ça peut aider pour ceux qui galèrent un peu en anglais) Appartement à 30 minutes de Roseau à pied, mais ça monte un peu pour y accéder, ceci dit ça descend pour en repartir, donc à vous de voir. Corinne tient aussi un petit bar qui vous aidera à vous rafraîchir une fois arrivé au logement.

Je viens tout les mois chez Talisha et je trouve l’endroit extraordinaire,très calme, un endroit pour profiter dans la bonne humeur en Dominique . Mon accueil est toujours satisfaisant 💯✅ Je recommande fortement.

This rustic riverside cottage was the perfect blend of charm, comfort, and convenience. Tucked away in nature but only 10 minutes from the airport, it made our departure incredibly stress-free—without sacrificing the peaceful, off-the-grid vibe we were craving. The cottage is simple and rustic in the best way—clean, cozy, and full of character. The real highlight is the river just steps away, it felt like having a private natural pool right outside our door.

Lawrenson is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet! So kind and generous! Always willing to share with you all the different produce growing on his property. Bananas, plantains, papayas, guavas, breadfruit, ginger, turmeric, coconuts, tania, limes, sugarcane etc! Listening to the crashing waves of the Atlantic are soothing and peaceful. The pleasant sea breeze is a blessing! There is plenty of room in the house. The kitchen is very well stocked with high quality stainless steel pots and pans. Make sure to bring the groceries you’ll need for your stay. Like Lawrenson says, the beauty of Dominica is in its simplicity! Good Hope is a beautiful quiet village. You’ll definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle which you should have in Dominica anyway! We visited Emerald Pool, Spanny Falls, Jacko Falls, Jacko Flats, Salton Falls which are all within 30 minutes. There is a gas station in the neighbouring village of San Sauveur. We truly enjoyed our 18 days in this mini paradise!

We really enjoyed Cornell's home. It felt like our own slice of paradise. The view is amazing. The house was a bit hard to find, but we managed, would not want to try and find it in the dark. The area has some nice restaurants. Would definitely recommend staying at Cornell's.

Appartement très propre et agréable. Je ne regrette aucun instant passé là-bas. Vous ne serez pas déçu 🫶🏾✨🥰 Petit conseil : si vous souhaitez vraiment explorer la Dominique, il vaut mieux louer un véhicule ou faire appel à un guide. À pied, on fait vite le tour, et ce n’est pas forcément très intéressant.

We had an excellent stay at Jacqueline's place. The unit is situated in a peaceful neighborhood with a stunning view. Its central location makes it convenient to visit key attractions in Dominica, including the Morne Trois Pitons National Park, various hot springs, and Mero Beach. Jacqueline was an outstanding host—friendly, always responsive, and eager to share local tips and insights. Overall, the unit is a fantastic place to stay when visiting Dominica.

Lessie et Netty LAUDAT sont des personnes admirables, très aimables et enjouées. Ils sont à l’écoute de tous problèmes et sont très réactifs. Ils ont été de bons conseils pour nous faire découvrir leur île et nous indiquer les sites incontournables à voir. Leur grande location est très jolie et bien équipée. Au niveau branchement électrique tout est au top et il y a même des prises USB ainsi que les câbles pour recharger n’importe quel téléphone et tablette numérique. Je recommande sans réserve leur jolie maison au milieu d’un écrin de verdure. Si je reviens en Dominique j’y retournerai sans aucune hésitation.

Beautiful home in a beautiful location. Truly outstanding! We had fabulous dinners at two places recommended by them. It's an easy walk into town. The perfect place to stay in Portsmouth. We'll be back.

OMG…where to start? Isha was one of the best host I’ve encountered. With all my travels there has been only one other person I would say that about. As soon as I walked into the place I felt at home! It was so beautiful. So nicely decorated. Usually I feel the need to clean or at least spray lysol, but not there. The whole place was spotless. And matched the pictures perfectly! It was so quiet and peaceful there. The mattress was so comfortable. I used the local bus to get there and it was very easy to find. The checkin instructions were the best I’ve ever gotten, so easy to get in. There is a very nice restaurant and market, within 1-2 minutes walk. I didn’t walk to the beach because I did a day tour, but I understand there is a nice one within a short walk. If I find I need a stay in Calibishie, this is where I will be staying.

Dès notre arrivée Philson s'est avéré un hôte attentif et extrêmement serviable. Il a eu la gentillesse de nous faire faire le tour de la ville en voiture et nous a indiqué les meilleurs endroits. Il a toujours été de bon conseil et présent lorsque nous le sollicitions, bien que très discret. Pour nous accueillir Philson avait pensé à mettre au frais deux belles noix de coco fraîches dont nous avons pu déguster le jus. L'environnement du logement est très calme et la vue depuis la terrasse est vraiment très agréable. Nous recommandons sans hésitation cet hébergement et remercions Philson pour sa gentillesse.

We stayed at Ashton's place for two months. The steep hill upto the apartment is very steep. The views from the balcony make it worthwhile. The walk to Douglas Bay beach about 30 mins taking you right through the town. Coconut beach also.about 30 mins but going the other way. Lots of local bars/restaurants walking distance. On our first day we arrived quite late and as we didn't know area Ashton kindly picked us up and we went to his restaurant for dinner Soursop, highly recommend. We hired a car to see the island. Lots to do. We hired from QB Vehicle Rentals.

Enjoyed the stay at Anderson's place! Could say so many great things about this space. The space matched the photos in the listing. Anderson and Susanne were both very courteous. Anderson provided a wealth of recommendations for things to know on the Island. Had a late check-in but was graciously accommodated. Place is very upgraded, with air conditioning and hot water being a great bonus. Location is also superb. The complimentary refreshments were a wonderful surprise. Would definitely book from Anderson again!

We had such an amazing stay at Webster’s magical place. The beach is right outside and we slept like babies listening to the waves. Webster and his partner were so friendly and he went above and beyond in helping us find our way around. We would love to come back another time! His restaurant is also an incredible spot ☺️

The pool & views are amazing! We didn’t get the room we originally booked but the room we did get was nice & had a big patio. There is a Jamaican restaurant just down the street about 3 blocks & a gas station, the casino, & Oceans edge restaurant. However, the walk back up is steep so you may need a driver or to rent a car. We used drivers & they all knew where to meet us so we had no issues. The only downside is you may want to bring extra toilet paper & trash bags. The hosts were very responsive. I would definitely stay again.

I enjoyed my stay. The area is very quiet during the day, and it is a few minutes away from the town of Roseau, which I liked. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for convenience and accessibility.

Très beau logement vue mer et très bien situé. Il est fonctionnel et propre. Nous avons eu un coup de cœur pour ce logement. Petit bémol sur le restaurant qui est au rdc qui peut faire des soirées très festives.

It is a very nice and modern apartment with good internet and beautiful ocean view. Martina was very nice and helpful, thank you! The apartment is not far away from the main road with access to the public bus, but I highly recommend a rented car.

This is in a really cool neighbourhood - a very narrow street, with kids and cats and dogs and roosters, chickens and goats and even a donkey at one point. The neighbours were friendly and helpful. There is a well-stocked convenience store a few streets over, and it is fairly close to restaurants, though probably not in close walking distance. Having a washer was great after days of hiking. Lots of amenities, incredibly quick response to questions, very comfortable beds, and an absolutely lovely view from the balcony. My travelling companion initially wanted a resort type of accommodation. Don't do it! This is the real thing. Recommended.

Close to airport, spacious apartment and spotlessly clean. Sana was very helpful at check-in. New furniture and appliances throughout apartment.

Johnathan and Gilly were exceptional hosts; super friendly and welcoming. Gilly greeted us with a handwritten welcome card and was flexible with check-in/check-out. The house itself is stunningly clean, well-kept, and the kitchen is fully functional and equipped with everything you could possibly need— I especially appreciated the standing mixer! The fridge was generously stocked to help us settle in, including a bottle of wine, local snacks and dry goods. Each bedroom had fresh flowers, linens clean and fresh with TONS of closet and storage space. The bathrooms came with lovely local toiletries. Pool is well-maintained and perfect for evening swims. I appreciated the washer/dryer with laundry pods and the first aid kit which shows the kind of care the hosts put into every detail. The area is super peaceful even with neighbors nearby, very tranquil and private. I’m sad the stay was so short, but I’ll absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Dominica. I will be back.
