Farmstay vacation rentals in Derry and Strabane

Beautiful secluded place. The directions are confusing. But totally worth it when you get there. Definitely recommend.

Upon arrival we were met by a smiling Bernadette who proudly showed us around the beautiful converted barn! What a showplace it is! Spacious rooms with comfortable furniture, every thing we needed for a short visit to northern Ireland! From a beautiful welcome basket filled with goodies such as bread, jam, butter, milk, tea and coffee, a much needed washer and dryer for our by then well traveled clothes, comfortable beds and the best in my mind heated floors!!! Bernadettes husband came over and lit a peat fire for us that evening in the more than impressive huge brick fireplace, both were very gracious and friendly hosts! The location is perfect for touring around northern Ireland, being about a hour and a half to the giants causeway and all the other great scenic locations. Not too far away is a small grocery store that carries all the essentials and has a post office for those postcards! The view from the back sitting room is amazing, hills and sheep grazing! Enjoying coffee there on our final morning we were surprised when it started snowing, we were able to enjoy watching the snow storm roll in covering the hills with a blanket of white! All in all a wonderful place to stay!!

Just back from an amazing 2 night stay at the cottage with the 2 fur babies, gwyneth and keith was absolutely outstanding hosts! very helpful and fast replies… the 2 dogs absolutely loved the big garden and will sleep for about a week now!😂 the cottage was gorgeous and was very clean. The garden was huge and very private with outstanding views. The hot tub was a huge bonus, the hosts have absolutely thought of everything and really go above and beyond for the guests all the wee extra touches they do were fab we all really enjoyed our stay felt right at home, will definitely be back!

Lovely place. Pamela was friendly and helpful but not fussy. Whole family stayed 3 nights, everything was perfect. Slept like logs. Nice thoughtful touches like flexible timings and milk in the fridge, tea bags. Only problem is it was so comfortable we didn't want to leave! Thanks Pamela

We had a lovely and peaceful stay in Derry. The place was clean, quiet, and just what we needed to unwind. The hosts were very responsive on the day we arrived, which made everything smooth and stress-free. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Beautiful location! My kids loved watching the sheep in the fields. Felt like “Ireland” vs staying in a city hotel. We had fun figuring out the oil stove and a few other things not common in the U.S. Mary left great instructions and was very kind. There were a few large spiders and a “farm smell” if the breeze was going a certain way but nothing you wouldn’t expect from being out in the country! Only 20 minutes from Derry but felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. We were pleasantly surprised by the house- it was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Excellent Stay. Cottage has everything you need. Confortable Bed. Smart TV with Netflix etc. Spacious and High Pressure Shower. Kitchen Fully Equipped. Easy Self Check-in and Parking Etc. Would highly recommend if looking somewhere in this area.

My sister's and I had a lovely two night stay in Kingarrow Cottage. The cottage was spotless, the beds so comfy and there was everything you need in the kitchen. There was an amazing welcome pack left also. The hot tub was much welcomed and well utilised by us all. Susan was an excellent host. She gave us recommendations on where to eat and where the best pubs are. Hennesseys was our choice and we had a brilliant night there. I would highly recommend a stay in Kingarrow cottage. Thank you Susan 😀

We had the most relaxing night away, nothing was a problem. Anthony was so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us, thank you for a lovely night and we will definitely be booking again 🥰

The Snug was in a beautiful country setting but 5-10 minutes from town. Anne was friendly and helpful. We were able to see all of the animals on Anne’s farm including 6 hour old lambs. Anne even had fresh bread available to us upon arrival. It was a real treat staying here.

I loved this home, it's beautiful. Accommodation bigger than I expected, so plenty of room for all the family. Cosy with the wood burner stove lit in Winter and my dogs appreciated the under floor heating. They also enjoyed the large enclosed garden and a walk up the lane. My daughter also loved this place and wishes to return in the summer. She found the bed matress very comfy especially compared to her Uni halls bed. We both love the area for it's peaceful and on sunny day there is nowhere more beautiful for a holiday. Being up in the hills on a clear night you can see all the stars 🌟 Thank you Adrian for being our host, you are really kind, helpful and honest.

Fantastic , super responsive very friendly and down to earth real genuine guy and made you feel right at home when checking in, great atmosphere with beautiful scenery and an amazing view from the pod which was also very quiet and peaceful, from the drive up the lane to the pod everything was as described and neat and tidy and the pod was very clean and cozy, great value for the money a super host 10/10 will definitely be back

We had a perfect stay at Roe Loft Cottage. The accommodation is very cozy and very well equipped. We lacked nothing. Drumcovitt is centrally located, so we could easily reach many sights in Northern Ireland from there. Sarah is a great host. Starting with the communication in advance, the warm welcome on arrival, and spontaneous tips about open restaurants in the area. We felt very welcome and would gladly stay here again at any time.

Another lovely stay at a very welcoming house . Thank you for the ice , sometimes it’s just the small things that make a big difference.

A wonderful, clean and comfortable fully equipped property which proved an excellent base for our golf holiday both sides of the border. Deirdre is a lovely host, always responsive to queries with positive ways to help when contacted. Would certainly be happy to stay here again in the future for a return trip to the region and very happy to recommend to others. A lovely property.

Robert left great instruction on how to find and enter the property. Upon arrival the house exceeded expectations, beautifully furnished it felt very homely. The rooms are very spacious and the views were gorgeous. House was very well kitted out and had everything you needed. We thought the price per night was very reasonable. Would 100% recommend, when we come to Ireland again will definitely book here again.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here. It was an excellent experience on both occasions: spotlessly clean, with great amenities and located in a beautiful natural setting. Highly recommended.
