Amazing location with incredible views to enjoy on the large deck with a new BBQ to use. It's right at the bottom of Return to Sender trail and approx 20 pedal strokes to the main entrance to the fantastic world class trail system. There is a lock up shed with work station and wash bay. Outdoor bath and shower with fire pit. Sound proofing walls, perfect for your friend that snores :) Everything you need for a fun time! The settlement that grew up around the mine became known as ‘Brothers Home’ and that name persisted until in 1887 it was decided to change the name to Derby. Historically steeped in the mining past, our bedrooms look out of lead light sunray's to the moss laden forest below as does the deep bath with unlimited hot water for bathing and showers. A relaxing , tranquil and private home with everything we need to revive the senses after an adventurous day on the trails. The wood burning heaters and fire pit circle provides us a cosy area to gather where stories are told and memories made.

Had really pleasant stay in Derby; Julia was kind enough to give us a late checkout. There was plenty of wood for the fires and the house is very close to the town centre. The house is modern, clean, spacious and nicely situated by the river.

The showers were amazing! Wasn't expecting something so pristine and private from shared amenities. Great place if you need hot food, hot shower and a place to sleep. There is even breakfast! We are coming back!
