Lake house vacation rentals in Denmark

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kirsten's! The place was just as charming as described – quietly located, with direct access to the lake and perfectly equipped for our fishing trip. Particularly nice was the possibility to go on the water by canoe and rowboat directly from your own property. Kirsten is an exceptionally warm and helpful host. She provided us with all the important information in advance, was always available and took care of everything with so much attention to detail – from boat licenses to maps. Just great! The house was cozy, clean and had everything we needed – including a well-equipped kitchen, freezer and grill. And little extras like firewood were also available. We felt completely comfortable and would come back anytime! Thank you for everything, dear Kirsten! 🙏🏼

We had a really nice stay at the old windmill house in beautiful Sæby. The location is absolutely perfect. The mill is incredibly great, and has a wonderful charm. In short an absolutely magical stay!! We would recommend this to all!

We booked Linnea's place on the occasion of the ice hockey World Cup and were completely satisfied - the house is wonderfully quiet on the lake, with large terrace and garden. Restaurant, supermarkets as well as the nearest major city Herning are easily accessible in a few minutes by car. The house itself is well maintained, the amenities are extensive and Linnea and her co-hosts were always quickly accessible and very accommodating! There are actually no wishes left unfulfilled :)

The apartment is furnished with a lot of love for detail. The furnishings are complete, stylish and high-quality, especially in the kitchen – there is really nothing missing here. The beds are very comfortable, you sleep very well. The garden is also a real highlight – lots of greenery and tranquility, overlooking a lake. Only a three-minute walk away, you can get fresh and very tasty rolls at a farm in the morning! The surroundings are wonderfully quiet, ideal for switching off and relaxing. Anders and Christina were very friendly hosts - always available, helpful and with good tips and recommendations.

We had a great stay at Michael and Linda's cottage. We spent many hours in the lovely pool, spa and sauna, as well as in the lovely private garden. Perfect getaway with kids, there's a high chair, swings, sandbox, and a small box of toys as well as games. Lovely playground with bouncy pillow and goats in the area. Clean and tidy to arrive, good beds and plenty of space. We will definitely be back! :)

Great place on a beautiful park. Very spacious and quiet with plenty of amenities within walking distance. Everything neat, nice and spacious and luxurious because of the sauna and hot tub. Top place for our dogs, nice space on a beautiful lawn. Please note, bed linen, towels and kitchen linen are not included/present. Other amenities and equipment are very complete. All in all recommended, would go back there again.

The cottage is just a dream! We fell in love immediately! ❤️ The location is sensational, right by the sea! Breakfast, relax on the couch - always with a sea view! 🌊 The decor is lovingly designed, there are many great places in the area, Lisbeth was always available! The perfect vacation! 😊

A very practical cottage that has everything one needs. Quiet location with nice surroundings.

Gitte is such a friendly and helpful host. She showed us everything and gave us a lot of recommendations on where we could go and what we could do. The apartment is beautiful qnd rustic. One hint if you plan to work from there, the WiFi connection in the bedroom with the desk isn't very reliable. But we were able to work in the living room without any issues. The environment is full if nature. it's very calm and suitable for walks, hikes or runs.

We had a great stay at Bård's house! The location is quiet, the nearby mini golf course is a nice change and the facilities are simply great! We had our baby with us, and the house is also wonderfully suitable for that. Bård even kindly provided us with his grandchild's old high chair - that was very nice. On the terrace all around you have many opportunities to sit together nicely and look into the garden. Bård's house is lovingly and attractively furnished, everything looks high-quality and like a vacation home that is also used privately by the owner - unlike many other Airbnb accommodations. The small town with its shops is about 10 minutes by car from the house, Blåvand beach about 15 minutes. We also loved the small flea market within walking distance in Ho on Tuesdays from 10 am - 2 pm; there are still real treasures, not just junk, you can pay with Kronen, Mobilpay, but also with Euros. Amazing location. Very well stocked house. Pity we stayed too few days. Cannot recommend it enough!

We are a family of five, with three teenagers and the house was a perfect fit for us. The house is beautiful and nicely decorated. It is cosy and comfortable and the surroundings are beautiful and relaxing. The garden is large and was a good playing field for us and our kids. There is a short walk to the beach and it was lovely to take walks there. Lars is a friendly host and responded quickly, he even brought us more gas for the barbecue when we ran out. We really enjoyed our time there and hope to be back someday!

A small but nice vacation home in the dunes! The location is very nice, quiet and close to nature and it was only a short walk across the dunes to the beach. The connection to other villages by car was very good. We had a few minor complaints, but they were very openly accepted and explained by the hosts.

What a beautiful spot! Rural location, on a river. But a relatively short drive from a supermarket. The house has all the comforts: dishwasher, washing machine, bedding, towels, chromecast etc. And Jørgen and Janne are the best hosts! So incredibly helpful, friendly, attentive and thoughtful. He helped us with a flat tire and Janne came to bring a homemade cake because it was her birthday. Great! We are eternally grateful to them. If we are around again, we will definitely come back. And the dog came by every day, very cozy! Lots of forest in the area where you can hike and close to Aarhus & Silkeborg
