Unique Dutch Miller’s House

This is a rare opportunity to stay in a traditional Miller's House located on the same property as an authentic 1632 Dutch Windmill. This beautiful cabin offers privacy, nature and canals on both sides, yet is only 1.5 miles (2.4km) from town and a 40 minute train ride to Amsterdam. This cabin was hand built with love & care and it is a pleasure to share it with guests from all around the world. As the Miller of this windmill, I enjoy giving my guests a complimentary tour whenever possible.

The chalet is placed in a unique location close to the beach and a view of the bulb fields + dunes. The accommodation is located next to our beautiful riding school; we try to take our guests into account as much as possible in terms of (noise)nuisance, but we do work to look after our horses. The house was lovingly renovated with a new kitchen, a modern bathroom, and antique details for a luxurious yet charming feel.

In the winter it can be too cold to sit there only with the fireplace. Bathroom has a 2-person bath and a double shower. There is also a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom. Heidehof is a detached cottage for 6 persons located in one of the most beautiful areas of Texel. On the West side of the island near the woods and the beach with an free view over the meadows, the dunes and the church of Den Hoorn. Rabbits, buzzards, harriers and owls regularly visit Heidehof. In the evening you can enjoy the most beautiful starlit sky in the Netherlands, kept warm by the log fire in the fireplace.

Paal 234 is amidst the beautiful world heritage Wadden Sea, known for its beautiful beaches, wadden, dunes and picturesque villages. Paal 234 is located in the rural area on the road to the De Koog and is within walking or cycling distance of the forest, the dunes and the beach. It is an authentic cottage from 1926 and completely renovated in 2022 and equipped with all comforts.
