Rock Cottage l Hidden Gem l Matlock

AnneRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We’ve just spent the most wonderful weekend at the beautiful Rock Cottage. Rebecca has put so much thought into creating a cosy, relaxing space, with a lovely blend of rustic-style decor and high-spec features throughout. This thoughtfulness was also evident from the moment we checked in and saw that Rebecca had prepared a birthday greetings garland along with birthday wishes and welcoming gifts, which was so generous. We were also blessed with good weather, which meant that we could enjoy the gorgeous, spacious garden and summer house, an absolute delight on both evenings. With fab walking trails nearby as well, it’s simply the perfect base to lose yourself in nature and unwind.

Merry View cottage

FernandaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Laura is a lovely host, very attentive. I mentioned that I was going with my family to celebrate my dad’s birthday, and she even put up a ‘Happy Birthday’ sign for him. We loved the cottage – it was clean, super cozy, and had a beautiful view!

Bettys Cottage

JonRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay here in the cottage. With relaxing views over the Derbyshire countryside. Neighbours were friendly with the car drop off and there is only a short walk back to the house (we recommend taking the little footpath to the right as you are walking back up the hill.) There is so much to do within an easy 10 - 20 minute drive, including Heights of Abraham, Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. Petra was very responsive and always quick to reply with any questions. A fantastic stay thankyou!

The frankfurt was just right for what me and me my, wife and 2 girls(6 & 4) needed. The location was perfect for visiting various key peak district spots as well as having 2 great pubs in walking distance. We would definately look to rebook if back in the area.

"Ye Old Shop"

GaryRating, 5 stars1 day ago
The cottage was lovely. Paul clearly has a lot of pride in his rental. The cottage is well appointed and homely. Very well equipped small kitchen. We enjoyed the decor, quirky. No problem with parking at any time we were there, we parked right outside. If you have the weather the garden and shed are definitely a place to chill out and enjoy a drink and snacks. Great bathroom, and a good shower. Great location. If you enjoy walking it’s all down hill to the pub. Thank you Paul.

wonderful stay, absolutely loved it, the place is amazing & sits in a quiet location with the village. Sarah was a great host & provided everything we needed. The village has a really good community store with local peoduce & two great old pubs, where the locals are most friendly & welcoming. A great base for walkers/hikers. Definitely love to stay again & would recommend to anyone.
