WINDY HALL - Secluded luxury with stunning views
Windy Hall is somewhere very special. High in the Pennines it offers one of the most magnificent views in England. You may want to stay and enjoy the peace & quiet, but we are ideally placed for trips west to the Lake District, east to the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, and north to Hadrian's Wall. It's unusual in that you have to walk the last 240 metres to the house, though we will bring up your luggage in our 4WD. But don't let this put you off; please just read our reviews!

Beautiful 2 bed Lodge with woodland + stream view
The Hide Lodge is a stylish space, designed with relaxing and retreating in mind. It is cosy and warm with underfloor heating. The open plan lounge and living area has full width bi-fold doors, which allows the space to be fully opened up to feel like part of the woodland beyond. The main bedroom boasts sliding french doors, also overlooking the woodland and stream, with a bath placed to enjoy this view. There is a private terrace and patio area to enjoy al-fresco dining or star-gazing.

The Hayloft
Whether you are looking for a M6 stopover, visiting the city of Carlisle or exploring the lakes, The Hayloft is a delight. Situated in Warwick-on-Eden it is within five minutes of the M6 motorway. Dating back to 1842 it overlooks a cobbled courtyard & has been tastefully restored to retain the original beams. Offering a high standard of accommodation for a maximum of four people & 2 dogs it’s within walking distance of the renowned pub, The Queens, Warwick Bridge & the River Eden.

The Byre at Thistlewood Tower Cumbria
The Byre is a cosy 19th century barn conversion forming part of a Grade 1 listed, 14th Century PeleTower and Farmhouse at a small settlement near Highbridge, Dalston Cumbria. Set in a secluded valley with a river running close by. It consists of Sitting room, bedroom, Kitchen and Bathroom. Formally a farming community the Byre is situated in a courtyard of cottages and barn conversions. It is a lovely quiet area surrounded by fields there are walks direct from the door.

Hovel House Shed
The Shed has been custom built, in the paddock, near my small barn conversion. It has a homely atmosphere, with vintage furnishings and up-cycled items. Where possible I’ve tried to be eco friendly. This is a quiet, tranquil place with beautiful views of the Scottish hills beyond the Solway Firth. It’s part of a small hamlet and my former family farm. Animals are often kept in the fields next to The Shed. You’ll experience stunning sunsets and starry skies.

Orchard Cottage was originally an 18th century 'Solway Plain clay dabbin' farmer's cottage (named after the fruit trees that are still in the garden), now fully restored with many of its original features. It is a perfect cosy getaway for those wanting to explore the Lakes, Hadrian's Wall and other highlights of this beautiful county. It is a great base to sample the many delights Cumbria has to offer.
