Vacation rentals with a kayak in Cumberland River

The Jolly Otter was a great place for our girls getaway. It was quiet, peaceful, and very comfortable. We were happy that we could bring the dog too! Alicia was a great host, very responsive, and provided a detailed book that included maps and points of interest. Our week of vacation went way too fast!

We loved it!! Everything we needed was provided. We appreciated the cleanliness and the ease of checking in and out😊the atmosphere around the cottage, the view and peacefulness was just wonderful 🤗plenty of space by the water and out door dining off of the living made it very pleasant. The property was well kept. It was very convenient to have paddle boards,canoe and kayaks available to use! Our host responded very quickly when we had any questions!! A nice drive around the area took us to shops and restaurants. We definitely recommend this host and this location and will return next time we visit the area🌷

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful place. Everything is as described. Very private surrounding, great location for a real get-away. View from balcony was great. Kitchen is well equipped, available grill is in good condition. Everything was clean and we felt right at home. Communication with Tony was easy and very nice.

Great place to stay, on the water, boat dock, close to stores and restaurants, host made us feel at home and checked in quite often to make sure our stay was going good. This house has everything you could need.

Deep Roots is by far the BEST AirBnB I have ever stayed in. It's remote location was just perfect to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings after a busy day in the big city of Nashville. It is in an absolutely gorgeous location with hiking trail within a half mile of the house. Alicia is a great host and even left my son a graduation happy because she knew we were there for his Senior Trip! The fresh eggs she left for us were also very thoughtful. There are just little thoughtful touches all over the place. Fresh flowers, so many board games, a set of horseshoes outside, hiking sticks, ingredients to make Smores. There was not a single thing we could have wanted that was not readily available if we needed it. The house was immaculate and so very comfortable. We felt right at home the entire time we were there. The only thing that could pose an issue for some is the WiFi is very sketchy and slow. Not an issue for us, but if you are wanting to work, it could be a problem.

This spot is such a gem! We wanted to get away for a peaceful getaway but also spend a day in Nashville. It was a super easy drive to get downtown. The house is super spacious, clean, bright, peaceful, and most of all the beds are so comfy! It has just what you need without having to leave(unless you want to 😜). The hot tub on the covered porch was lovely, especially in the rain. I would highly recommend staying here!

New favorite place for vacation/getaway! We plan to return in different seasons. It's fantastic. Ron & Kathy are the nicest people & fun! They are the kind you would be friends with if you lived nearby. The cottage is exactly what we needed & is well stocked. Was very comfortable, clean, & a good design. There are several seating areas at different levels, inside & out and right by beach (this property is on a hillside). There are steps, like the description states, to get down to the cottage, but it wasn't too bad as those steps weren't steep (I have arthritis and fms). There's a small fire-ring and chairs near the door there so a person with less mobility could probably enjoy that side of the grounds. The other side has a lot of steps and getting down to the beach is "moderately" difficult, but most folks probably wouldn't have an issue. We collected driftwood, had bonfire, smores, used gas grill, enjoyed the water & birdwatching (eagle right there!) enjoyed the peace & quiet.

Great place to stay. The cottages had everything we needed and was clean. We will definitely stay again. The host are very responsive and friendly. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. The homemade chocolate chip cookies were delicious!

Great place, very peaceful and easy to just relax. Very close to bait shops, grocery stores, and marinas, and a short trip to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg where there are tons of things to do! Added bonus…Buc-ees is not far either :)

Wow. This place was absolutely beautiful! It was definitely amazing it! We loved this place so much it felt just like home and it was very peaceful! The dock was so fun to fish off of, lots of room on the dock as well so bonus in my book! We’ve caught lots of fish so fishing definitely wasn’t a problem, we caught 3 huge catfish within one hour! Everything was nicely cleaned, the instructions on everything were very easy to understand! The hot tub was definitely my favorite part! We will definitely be recommending/revisiting!

Our stay at The CliffTop Cottage was very enjoyable. It is very clean, well furnished and cozy, with thoughtful touches throughout. The surrounding area is beautiful and it was very peaceful. We plan to stay there again when we are in the area.

This cozy, beautiful spot is a treasure! Kim was very attentive to details in creating a space that is welcoming and feels like home. The kitchen was well equipped, decor blends modern and mountain cottage. Plenty to entertain at the house or nearby. The description helped us know how to best plan our visit to the area and there were great tips and maps at the house too. Beautiful scenery and a great place to enjoy birds, fall foliage, hiking and much more. So thankful for a great getaway!

Our stay was a week at the end of May 2025. The Cicadas were loud and active. The heavy rains and high lake levels caused logs and debris to basically block our dock so we couldn’t use the provided kayaks or paddle boards… just Mother Nature. We did enjoy a couple of bonfires in the evenings with plenty of firewood provided. S’mores were also supplied along with forks. There were a lot of sitting areas on the porch and decks and yard. The cottage was clean with a spacious living room and kitchen, lovely decorated with plenty of dishes and linens supplied. There is a dollar store and an ice-cream store 10 minutes away. All in all our family enjoyed this cottage.

Our stay was amazing at Liz’s lake home. The amenities were exactly what I expected and I would stay there again!!! The host did a wonderful job with communication and instructions they made it so easy. Thank you for sharing this beautiful spot with us!!!

This place was perfect for a weekend getaway. The place was clean and felt like home. The backyard area with the fire pit was perfect and the ability to purchase the whiskey barrel staves directly from him made it incredibly easy.

I just happened upon this place looking at possibilities in the area, and I'm so glad I did. Honestly, I had booked another place and stayed 1 night and decided we were gonna look for something else. The greatest selling point of this place is when you walk into the front door and turn to your right and you see the view looking out across the lake, it's almost breathtaking, no joke. My daughter said it's the most beautiful place we've ever stayed in. I loved the pool table, the old Pac-man and Galaga console, the flat screen tvs all around, the hot tub around the back side. I wish we could have stayed longer. Denis was very helpful. I needed to extend our stay another day and he helped me get it figured out. My mistake was something I had to fix quickly, and Denis responded right away. He also gave some clear instructions to me about front door code, wi-fi password, and instructions on check-in and check-out. We had a great time and we plan to go back for a longer stay. This was our family’s first time to TN and our first trip to the mountains. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!! Amanda and Bo were the perfect hosts…gorgeous home that was extremely clean, absolutely lovely decorations inside and out, kind and quick responses to any of our questions. I could go on and on. Amanda and Bo also ensured that we had an easy check in and check out. The mountains were so amazing and the views were even better in person than the photos. The cozy cabin provided the perfect spot for our family of 8 (loved having 4 bathrooms!!) as we were in and out exploring the nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park and hiking nearby trails. An ideal respite after long days of outdoor fun. Overall we had the perfect vacation in TN!!

We enjoy the cabin so much!!! It is in a great location and close to all activities. I have grown kids and they loved the river and the kayaks! Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with our family!

Great place with the lake view. Everything is quite well. Only issue was with both the mattresses, they both are spring and not that great. Other than that, its 5/5

This was my first time in Gatlinburg and would definitely return to this cabin. The cabin was one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed and the location was nothing short of amazing. Easy access to downtown Gatlinburg and an easy drive in the mountains. The views were spectacular and the best part. Thank you Cloud 9!

The cabin at Stanton was a great private location with a wood burning fireplace! We like to bring our dog on adventures, so we were very happy with the pet friendly accommodations. We really enjoyed the upstairs studio space and back porch. The hosts were very helpful and responsive to questions.
