Our beautiful home is located in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. Our house is located directly across from the beautiful Tuckasegee river which is a great trout fishing spot! Only one mile from Dillsboro, ten minutes from downtown Sylva, 15 minutes from Bryson City home of the Polar Express train ride!!! 15 minutes to Cherokee and Harrahs Casino, and just 30 minutes from Cataloochee Ski Area. This cabin is close to Western Carolina University ( about 4 miles), Cullowhee, Sylva and Cashiers, NC. You’ll love this home because of the views, the coziness, woodburning fireplace, firepit, convenience and unique decorations ( I call it the museum in honor of my grandparents). In addition to two bedrooms, there are bunk beds in the loft for the kids. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).

1930s Walnut Grove Farmhouse

Walnut Grove Farmhouse, a renovated 1930s era home, is a remnant of an old farm. We are situated on 17 acres of rolling hills with handsome views from the upper pasture along with a stand of 14 walnut trees. Sit a spell on the porch, listen to the trickling brook (a roaring brook when we get significant rain), the sound of birds, the sounds at night and maybe some turkeys will venture through. We are located midway between Franklin and Dillsboro, Sylva, Cullowhee.
