Beautiful Wilderness Retreat

This cabin is a great place to take a country retreat! It is nestled in a small clearing in the wilderness of the Manistee National Forest. You will be surrounded by beautiful nature, a trout stream, a Japanese Garden, an English Garden, an orchard and barn with free-range chickens. The cabin doesn't have electricity or running water or kitchen but guests have access to two great bathrooms with access separate from the main house, Wi-Fi, and the electricity and kitchen at the main house.

This newly renovated waterfront cottage has 150 feet of frontage where bald eagles are often seen flying overhead. Relax on the wrap-around deck or the waterfront swing and enjoy the view of the river in all seasons. Croton provides great fishing all year round with lots of great snowmobile trails in the area. Everything you need to relax & recharge in one cozy space. Private entrance. This suite is an open floor plan with a small kitchenette that includes a fridge, microwave and stove with basic kitchen utensils and dishes. It is located in town close to stores, restaurants. Nice patio out back with covered area to grill out. Walking distance to the North Country Trail and 10 min from the new Dragon trail. There is one queen bed and a couch. It will comfortably sleep two guest.

Little Blue A-Frame on the River

What a wonderful stay! Perfect little get-a-way birthday trip for my husband and son, we had the best time fishing, playing and enjoying the weather. The cabin is perfect for a family of 4-6 and communication was top notch! We will definitely be back for another river trip, only this time with adults because it’s the absolute perfect spot for a float trip, easiest access to the Muskegon River and parks to put in just a few miles down the road! Thanks again for everything :)

We so enjoyed our weekend at the River Valley View Cabin! It was the perfect spot for a quiet getaway, so private and peaceful overlooking the beautiful river. The cabin was very clean, roomy yet cozy, and well supplied with everything we needed. We appreciated the multiple comfortable places provided to sit and relax: outside seating areas, the enclosed porch, and the homey living area inside. We loved hiking on the nearby Dragon Trail and enjoyed the fabulous fall colors on display throughout the area. Jackie was a great host, reaching out several times. We hope to return someday!

Lake Cabin and Treehouse

Michael’s place was the perfect weekend getaway! The home is even more beautiful than the photos, and the views made it feel like we were in the mountains. The property felt private and peaceful — we barely saw anyone, which was perfect for traveling with our dogs. The treehouse area across the street gave us plenty of space to play fetch daily. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook dinners each night, which we really appreciated. Fishing from the dock was decent — we caught lots of small perch, a smallmouth and largemouth bass, though my dad lost quite a few hooks due to snagging, so we recommend stronger line, I was good with a 14lb line. A rowboat for fishing could be a great future addition! The 185 steps from the lake are no joke but worth having both the incredible mountain-like views while still having lake access. Michael was kind, responsive, and flexible, making our stay stress-free. We’d absolutely come back!

First time ever staying at an Air BnB, excellent experience. Good communication from host on checking in. Cabin has a lot of space for a small footprint, lots of sleeping options and plenty of room to spread out. Location was amazing being right on the river. Was very relaxing just sitting by the river and enjoying the sights. Will plan to stay again next year.
