Monthly Rentals in Cross

Our stay at Caherduff was absolutely wonderful, the accomodation was 5 star, with everything we could have wanted, plus lovely homemade scones waiting for us on arrival, very welcome. Jennifer was most helpful, and checked in on us during our stay, to make sure we were ok. Would definitely recommend a stay here. A beautiful place in a great location.

From the first inquiry about the cottage, Paul was on the ball. He sent through suggestions for places to visit, recommended places to eat and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was exactly as advertised and then some. It was like coming home. Everything you want or need is there. It was spotless and smelt fresh and well looked after ( have been in cottages before that were not). A welcome bottle of wine and some beers were a lovely addition. Only a couple of miles from the village of Cong where The Quiet Man was filmed, and about a half hour drive to Galway city there is plenty on your doorstep. The Italian restaurant Sophia in the village was fantastic. The menu great, and the staff are young, enthusiastic and so helpful. One night there we met a local historian who was full of great chat and recommendations of things to see on our way back home. We will definitely be back. Cottage was beautiful, local people are so friendly and it was a fabulous place to spend a long weekend.

Super location, great hosts and the cleaner, Sally was also helpful and friendly. The listing omits the fact that there are two shower rooms with toilets, so the facilities are better than you would expect. We were staying for a wedding at The Lodge at Ashford Castle. The location is great for that and you can see where you were staying on the wedding pictures.

My 2 weeks in Cong at John Joe’s apartment were more than wonderful. The upstairs apartment had everything I needed plus more to be comfy and cozy. John Joe is a generous host, at the ready to provide whatever I needed. He is a gentleman and as a long resident of Cong widely known and highly respected in the village. He is a lovely man whose kindness infused my experience. I had a deeply happy time in Cong and the charm and aesthetic of John Joe’s airbnb apartment made my time there one that is already among my most treasured destinations - an experience of a lifetime.
