Sunset Sanctuary is an accurate description. Great place to enjoy some peace and quiet with a fantastic view of the lake. This was a perfect weekend getaway with a spouse if you need some R&R.

This stay was more then we expected! It had everything we needed and more. My kids were either down at the dock to fish or using the Kayaks that were at the house or our standup paddle board. I will be telling everyone about our stay and I hope to stay again soon!! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home it was exactly what my family needed.

You will not regret booking this place! It was everything you could possibly need for a home away from home in a GORGEOUS place. The beautiful lake was visible from the sunroom and there were so many games and amenities that made it feel like home. It was very clean and had lots of water toys to play with as well. The hot tub was a nice bonus as well. We absolutely loved disconnecting here and appreciated all the little touches like blankets in every corner and firewood and kitchen essentials. We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful views from the living room ( by the nice wood fireplace) and the hot tub. The kitchen is well stocked and is a great place for cooking as a group. The dining room easily seated our group of 6 adults and a toddler. Beds were comfortable. As noted by others, the upstairs master bedroom is an open loft, though there is a large walk in closet and bathroom up there. We loved our stay and might well return for a visit in a different season!

We had an excellent stay at Charles place. Very peaceful quiet place to stay. House was very clean with everything needed for our stay provided in the house. Host communicated very well, would recommend staying at this cabin!

Such a gem of a location and space. Adorable, rustic, and filled with charm. We absolutely loved our weekend at the cabin and the surroundings (and sunsets) were outstanding. The new mattresses also were a nice bonus. We hope to come back!

Walt is a great host and the property has an amazing view. I’m sure it’s great year around but it looked like there was even more available in the summer. Feels like the middle of nowhere but just 15 minutes from town if you need something. Will definitely recommend to my friends.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at this cabin. It was very peaceful! The cabin is on a dead end, so there is almost no traffic noise. I slept like a baby at night. It is just next door to a state park and there is wildlife everywhere! We enjoyed seeing the deer and hummingbirds! The cabin was clean and inviting. Jessica was very responsive when we needed her! The area provided endless opportunities for activities during the day. We spent one day doing a waterfall tour and the next renting a boat from Popps Resort (highly recommend!). The cabin provided all the amenities and activities we could ask for and we would definately return!

We had a wonderful time staying in the cabin by the bay/lake in Gills Rock. There is a beautiful hiking spot just minutes from the cabin and it was a nice quiet neighborhood to do my morning walks while I waited for my husband to get motivated. 4 State Parks we visited in the area with Newport being the closest (less than 10 minutes I think) and a "Dark Sky Park" (aka Star Viewing) Everything was simple from check in to check out. There is no TV in the main bedroom (I am one of those people) but it worked out and we couldn't have been happier with this AirBnB for our anniversary. What a beautiful area. We prefer off season travel as apposed to overcrowding and Door County in April is great if you are in to the that. We felt like we had places all to ourselves. Would recommend this place for year-round travel. Thank you Gregg and Family for letting us stay in your cozy piece of history. Docs Hideaway in Gills Rock is awesome!

This is the second time my husband and friends stayed at Cathy’s home. They love the surrounding areas to fish in and Cathy’s space is in the middle of it all! Cathy is extremely responsive and overall a great host! Permitting availability, this will be my husband’s annual stay! Thank you, Cathy!

Another amazing, peaceful, and relaxing stay at Palace in the Pines. 2 weeks osnt enough, the place is a true Northwoods cabin with beautiful views and a great river outside your back porch door. Will definitely book again!

Great location for us, we were able to visit 10 waterfalls in the area. The place was very comfortable and clean and we appreciate being able to use the wood burning stove to heat the cabin.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Wanderloft! We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful surroundings of nature and even spent some time in the paddle boat out on the lake. It was the perfect relaxing get away we were hoping it would be. The gas fireplace and record player were such nice touches on the rainy day we spent inside. Molly was a great host, she was incredibly responsive and the house manual had all of the information we could have needed proactively provided!

Absolutely loved this trip. A wonderful welcome basket with wine and snacks was waiting for us upon arrival. We made full use of the fireplace to stay nice and warm during the cold, snowy weekend. Being right along the river was amazing and made for a beautiful view. We utilized the snow shoes to walk along the frozen river and creek which was extremely fun. This was the best cabin we’ve stayed in and we will be sure to recommend to anyone looking for a great place to spend the weekend.
