House vacation rentals in Cowichan Valley

Joy and Chris were great hosts. thoughtful and flexible with our travel. the suite is clean and fully stocked with everything you need! there's a BBQ and good parking next to the entrance. we will for sure come back next time we need a spot for nanaimo.

We had a great stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The swimming pool was a highlight, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the nice weather. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend to others.😊

This was one of the most beautiful and comfortable places we’ve stayed via Airbnb. The home is beautifully provisioned and the yard is fantastic. We loved sitting out back listening to the bubbling water and birds singing. The hosts were friendly and thoughtful. We would definitely choose again and highly recommend.

Matt and Lina’s place was truly an oasis. The seven of us were so comfortable and enjoyed the pool/ hot tub and sauna time. Matt and Lina were fantastic to communicate with. We would highly recommend staying here if you love the peacefulness and privacy of the forest with ALL the amenities.

We were 2 couples visiting the province for a family gathering. This place was absolutely perfect for us! Spacious, clean and beautifully decorated homes. The gardens are gorgeous and we grew attached to all the lovely animals outside the front door! The rural setting was close to all the urban places we visited....and we enjoyed getting to know the surrounding area. Krista was responsive and helpful....and gave us lots of great tips! This is the best airbnb experience we have ever had!

This is a beautiful home in a peaceful neighborhood. The yard and neighborhood are lovely. The decor and art is fun, even has live plants. Beds are comfortable, nice linens. Kitchen is large and well stocked. It is multi level and has stairs in many areas.

We had a small group from work gather at April’s place and it was fantastic. So much space for us to spend time together. Everything was set up for us to have an amazing time: the pool was warm and so clean. There are tons of thoughtful touches in the home and the kitchen is incredibly stocked. It’s just a dream, we are so thankful! Our group wants to come back next year! Thank you!!!!

We were really happy with David’s guest suite. It was exactly as shown in the pictures, and check in/check out were very easy. There wasn’t a microwave, but the stove/oven makes up for it. We appreciated how compact and tidy everything was, and I found the bed very comfortable. We were happy with our 12 day stay here, and would gladly stay here again when we come back to the area.

We were lucky enough to get to meet Emma as the guest suite is located in the bottom floor of her family home (also with your own private parking and patio/garden space). Emma is so warm and friendly. We loved having the chance to chat and appreciated the helpful local recommendations on walking/biking in the area (Bald Mountain is just down the road, we also hired bikes from Cycle Therapy in Duncan for the Cowichan Valley Trail and ferry to Salt Spring Island from Crofton was also within 45 minutes drive). We saw beautiful elk and even a bear(!) hiking in the local area. The space is very large and well put together with all amenities you need and a wood fired sauna (and cold plunge!) that we very much enjoyed after all the exercise.

We had a really good time during our stay with our 22 months old boy. The place was peaceful and clean. There was enough space for the kid to play.

We had a wonderful stay at Kurt's lakeside house. It was clean, spacious, modern, bright and airy with a lovely large sundeck overlooking the lake which was across the road. The house was in pristine condition with a bathroom for every room and a modern kitchen. There are kayak rentals and a little beach across the road and it was 30 minutes away from eco whale watching tours where we saw orcas,seals and bald eagles on the boat trip. I would definitely stay here again. Even though the other townhouse were close by, it was very private and had a large private, sheltered deck. A lovely home! Thank you so much Kurt for a wonderful stay!

We had such a wonderful stay at Mason's. It was a perfect spot for out ladies weekend. It's a beautiful property and we enjoyed many delicious meals and laughs on the deck. The space was spotless! We are talking about booking it again next year.

Got this place in a pinch and it was one of the best AirBNBs I’ve ever stayed in. Would stay here in a heartbeat on my next trip to Nanaimo.

This property was stunning, with panoramic views of the water, surrounding gulf islands, and sunsets. It was charming, cozy, and picturesque. Everything we were looking for!

Alison’s place was perfect. Super clean, neat and tidy with everything you would need when away from home.

It was a perfect place for two couples. Quinn checked in to ensure that we had no issues and responded quickly to any questions. It was nice to have our own parking spot. Location was excellent and in a very quiet area. We had a vehicle so restaurants, grocery stores and liquor stores were only 5 minutes away. There was a coffee shop a five minute walk away. Exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for a three night stay. And beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend and we would stay here again.

Julie is a wonderful host! The place is beautiful and exactly as pictured/described. Clean, free of clutter but still with enough furniture to be comfortable. I stayed for an extended period of a month and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Julie was accommodating and an excellent communicator. Very quick responses, and provided us with anything we needed during our stay. Cowichan Bay is a beautiful area and the house is tucked away on a quiet dead end street but still only a short walk to the beach which my children loved. The house was well equipped with everything we needed for an extended stay & was very reasonably priced. The pull down couch was very comfortable as was the bed in the bedroom. Having in suite laundry was also very convenient. Overall would highly recommend! You won't regret your stay in the beautiful Cowichan Valley at Julies oasis!

I stayed at Malinda’s place with my parents and friends. Her place is very clean, new and peaceful. She responded every time I had any questions. Another best thing was everything was so close 15-20 minutes drive either market or any attractions to see. I give 5 stars 😀

When coming to the Shawnigan Lake area, one. an hardly do better than this location. It has all you could need and more. Lake access is very accommodating. Just a perfect location.

This was a perfect spot for our little family! Renee was very proactive when I let her know we were bringing our child, and checked in to see if we would need a playpen or high chair. She had toys and colouring books available for our toddler when we arrived! The bed was comfy, all the linens were very clean and soft. In a bit of a tricky spot to find, but the instructions provided were very clear and we had no problem getting to it.

We would highly recommend Meaghan’s apartment. It was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Meaghan has included lots of thoughtful extras and the decor and furnishings are lovely. Chemainus is a cute town with lots to do and a friendly vibe. Meaghan’s recommendations for restaurants, cafes etc were spot on. We had a delightful stay and hope to be able to return in the future.

Terry's place was great! We had more than enough room to move around and make meals together as a family. We enjoyed the whole space. Terry was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. We would definitely stay there again! Thank you for the great stay!
