Family-friendly vacation rentals in Cowichan Valley

The CQ was exactly what we wanted. Private cabin on a quaint farm. We had everything we needed and Henny knows exactly what she is doing! Great location 15 mins max to anything on the island. We were five, 60 something ladies who get together for hiking and fun. We stayed at Russell's Wilderness Lodge for three nights. The lodge was as described and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with items that we needed to cook many great meals. We did have to make whipping cream by hand but figured it was a good workout for our arms as we took turns beating the cream. We enjoyed the hot tub after coming back from a hike. We had great sleeps in comfortable beds. It was very quiet and peaceful. We would stay there again.

We enjoyed a quite few days on the point. The property is beautiful with lots of options for accessing the water. We enjoyed staring at the strait from the hottub and looking for otters as well as plenty of other sea life post hiking nearby. Hosts are friendly and welcoming. The loft is cozy and well equipped. We will come back!

Caroline’s home is clean and comfortable and has stunning views. The upper deck was a wonderful place to relax and converse with friends! Caroline is a wonderful host. She provided excellent suggestions to make our stay even more enjoyable than originally planned. She is responsive and kind! I highly recommend Caroline’s home!

We loved staying here. The house is great. The front porch, the side deck with grill and sun chairs and outdoor dining is great. The dock on the water is fabulous. Any specific questions or issues were addressed immediately. Its a really lovely spot. You can't do better on Shawnigan Lake!

The place was fabulous, and the view from the hot tub alone was worth the cost. We cozied up quickly. Highly recommend for a nice quiet stay away from the hustle and bustle! Farmer’s Market on the Sunday was lovely. Crow and Gate pub was a must go! Thanks so much Alan and Gillian!

My only comment is that is was very hard to find the place especially in the dark. Google maps took me to a neighbouring house and it was very confusing. That being said I didn’t fully ready the hosts instructions so she may have mentioned that! Wonderful place though, we would definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the quiet town and nature. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again.

lovely little place. comfortable and quaint and nice and close to Ganges so you don't have to find parking in town. really enjoyed the Sauna as well. Overall just a great time spent here :)

Jacky was incredible! Super kind and caring. She brought samosas that were delicious. The place was super cool and the sleeps were the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

A great place to relax and rest. the view from the patio over the harbour is so peaceful. The inside space is large and airy. the kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals. we would come back again!

We had such a great stay at Niki and Neal's cottage. Everything was as described, if not better! We couldn't have been happier with the location and set-up in the cottage. We enjoyed friendly interactions with Niki and Neal + equally pets, appreciated some very tasty homemade treats and learned about the local swimming lake that was close by. I would have been very happy to stay in Fulford Harbor for much longer, soaking up the local flavor / nature / hiking / swimming that is all close enough to not even need a car (although we did have and use one).

We really enjoyed our time at Trish’s place! It was very clean, had a beautiful view, and all the animals were so adorable. Trish and Nick were also wonderful hosts. I would highly recommend!

Stunning scenery and beautifully decorated, this home was spectacular. I wish we could have stayed longer, we will definitely be back. Of special mention was the comfortable bed and pillows!

Beautiful house, with stunning views. Close to shops, restaurants and easy reach to sights like Botanical Beach and Eden Grove. The place was well equipped with heaps of space and everything you would need for your stay. We would happily stay here again.

Kelly’s place was lovely. We loved the location with restaurants, walks along the ocean. Beautiful area.

This was one of the most beautiful and comfortable places we’ve stayed via Airbnb. The home is beautifully provisioned and the yard is fantastic. We loved sitting out back listening to the bubbling water and birds singing. The hosts were friendly and thoughtful. We would definitely choose again and highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay. Billie was friendly and approachable, and so wonderful. We enjoy the clean and comfortable place, and swimming pool. The place was very close from the main shopping/restaurants area and it made our stay very enjoyable. Thank you for everything Billie!

We’ve stayed at the Inn Of the Sea many time and been lucky to stay at both of Tammy’s condos. We come and go from the area all the time for work and it’s hard to go back to a hotel after discovering the condos.

We had a lovely time staying in Tammy’s home. It was really clean and very well stocked with everything we needed. She is very responsive and we were able to check in a bit early on our arrival. The bed is very comfortable and there is a lovely view of the water from the patio. We would definitely stay here again! The resort has a tennis court, lots of grills, one campfire pit, dock for crabbing or boats, beach for clamming. The property is very well kept. Thanks again Tammy for such a lovely stay!

Beautiful property. walking the beach, swimming at the pool, we enjoyed our stay. The accommodation were wonderful. (as described, spacious.) Hope to go again. Thank you Pat for the games and Beautiful kitchen, bedrooms ect.

Loved staying in this beautiful area. The pool and hot tub right next to the ocean were the cherry on top. Tammy’s place was very clean. Felt cleaner than most hotels we’ve been to. Her instructions were crystal clear and we had zero issues accessing the condo and the amenities. Our only feedback; we were missing our creamer in the morning for our coffee. There’s a chance it was there but we didn’t find it! Other than that, we loved it and highly recommend!

It is a beautiful place to stay. We really enjoy the ocean. would like to come back again.

Derek’s place was very clean and cozy. It was very welcoming and we felt like home when we stayed at his place. My family were very comfortable while staying there and Derek was also easy to communicate wiith. Overall we had a wonderful time.
