An Tigín

What a delightful place in a beautiful rural setting - complete with amorous ginger cat plus two donkeys. This is a beautifully restored ‘dog house’ which is now very tasteful and lovely accommodation. It has a beautiful tiled bathroom with washing machine in adjacent alcove. The kitchen is great - full oven, hob, microwave, and little dishwasher. There is a good supply of crockery, glassware and cutlery. We really appreciated the flowers on the dining table 💐 and the homemade biscuits 🍪 It’s possible to park directly outside (which is great for luggage) and there is an outdoor table and chairs outside the sitting room. We only stayed one night - wished it had been longer 🙁 Suggest shopping for food at Waterford or bigger town (particularly if arriving later in the day) as Mooncoin only has a Centra which we found expensive and a limited range of goods. We really liked the thoughtful non-perfumed eco products, decent plumbing, nice linen, and toiletries. Thank you 👏🏼

Suir Valley Cottage.

A lovely cottage in a peaceful setting. The pictures are accurate, amenities are updated for how old the cottage is. Warm, comfortable linens and beds. Fresh, homemade biscuits awaited our arrival as well as a warm peat fire. Beautifully furnished. Tomás was very communicative, friendly, and helpful. He and his farmhand, Queenie the pup, welcomed us warmly. He gave local recommendations, and was always available for questions. We would definitely stay here again, and recommend to anyone.

The old barn

CarlaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful stay at The Old Barn. It is set in such a tranquil and peaceful setting that we could just switch off and relax as soon as we got there. We found it was in a good location for many of the scenic spots in the region. The accommodation itself was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. Walter was also very accommodating and came and introduced himself to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We felt comfortable and could easily of stayed longer. We also enjoyed watching the local wildlife and of course the very friendly cows were a delight to see every morning. We will definitely look to return at some point.
The bathroom features a well-lit space with a mirror above a hand basin and a mounted towel holder nearby. A toilet is positioned beside the basin, while a small indoor plant adds a touch of greenery. The flooring consists of light-colored wood panels.

Kilkieran Lodge, scenic country escape

KimRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Perfect private space in a quiet location. Beautiful views. Self check in. Host respected privacy and was available if needed. Bathroom and bedlinen clean. Was a bit cold but heated up fast with the electric heaters. Tea and Coffee available. A little milk in the fridge would be convenient but I am sure if I asked that Ade would have supplied that. Excellent value for money. Close to Carrick on Suir for supplies, close to Kilkenny for tourist attractions. Would recommend

The Lodge

Check in was easy. Clear instructions from Denise. The house is just off a main road so easy to get to although, the turn off can come quickly if you're not paying full attention. The house is lovely. Size is great, perfect for a large family. Kitchen was well equipped. Garden was nice and well kept. Outdoor furniture was nice to sit outside on a nice day/evening. Beds were comfy and bathrooms were all nice. All showers had a rainshower option. Plenty of space for parking (we had 4 cars). Located in the countryside, 10 mins driving distance to the beach. Also Dungarven is close by which has plenty of supermarkets, restaurants, pubs etc. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and I would happily recommend the house and host to others!
