Cottage vacation rentals in Colorado River

I had an absolutely lovely time staying at Cata’s place! The grounds were beautiful, quiet, and so very peaceful. The pool was lovely (and deep!) with comfy loungers all around. Our room was extremely cozy, with the perfect little kitchen. My dog and I had a wonderful and peaceful time! I miss being there already!

Perfect for a quiet getaway. The pool and hot tub were wonderful for relaxing and a shining addition to the stay. Joel and Emily were super responsive and accommodating. We may be back with friends to reserve each cabin.

I really enjoyed the stay for my sister’s birthday! We were able to float the river that was right down the road about 5-10 minutes away! The kitchen was beautiful and very nice to cook in! We really loved the backyard, as we utilized the hot tub and projector! Everything was really clean too! Definitely recommend!

Sweetest women I have ever met. I was trying to find a place in a hurry on a budget and she was very flexible and helped me with everything while traveling back from vacation at the same time! She called me as soon as possible and apologized for a semi late response. Overall great host and will definitely stay here again! BEAUTIFUL HOME!

We had such a wonderful stay! It was relaxing and the home was so cute and comfortable. Cynthia also dropped by with the most delicious cookies! :) We will definitely be staying here again when our travels take us back to Wimberly.

As I sit here and write this review I'm comparing my pictures that I took to the pictures of the rental and the more disappointed I'm getting. The pictures are nothing like what is shown for outside. The inside of the house was awesome. As for outside the grass was overgrown. The number of chairs that are shown was way less. Not to mention of the two chairs one was broke. Luckily we brought our own chairs. No corn was provided for the deer. I did reach out about the corn and was told it was in the pantry, but there wasn't any there. If you are not going to enjoy the outdoors and plan on staying inside this house is perfect. I wish there was a way to provide my pictures for reference.

Being able to sit on the front porch and watch the animals 29 feet away is about as peaceful and relaxing as it gets. We wanted to escape and this place is great for that. Very close to Main Street Fredericksburg, but feels far away from it all. There are other air bnb rentals near the Farmhouse, but not so close that you feel smothered. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

This is our second time staying at the Cardinal Cottage, and my guess is that it won’t be the last! We love the simplicity of the space and make great use of the laundry/pool room for storing wet clothes and quick changes. Upstairs is spacious and comfortable and fits our family of 6 extremely well. We appreciate baby items like the pack and play, as well as the high chair seat so that we don’t have to pack as many of these things on our own! The pool is a small distance from the house, but great visibility, so we could let our older kids play as we watched from the screened porch, which also makes it feel incredibly serene when in the pool. The lap pool is totally unnecessary, which makes it all the more super-cool! There is a generous landing pad in the pool where my toddler could play, and my older kids loved doing laps and diving for pool toys in the deep end! The hot tub was perfect—even though it was warm out—to enjoy at sunset. This space is so well thought-out and clean!

It was a wonderful, cozy, relaxing experience! I love the cabin and what y’all have done with it! I live in what is left of the country in south Fort Worth (Burleson) but coming out here reminds me of what it used to be like there! Thank you so much!

Honestly I think it may be too soon for me to write a review… it’s only been a few hours since I left the place and I may be going through withdrawal. I absolutely LOVE the vibe of this place. So quiet… yet so close to some amazing hill country adventures. Really can’t think of a more perfect place to base camp or perhaps just to get some peace and quiet for a few days and get your creative juices flowing… write, compose, paint… whatever it is you do I am sure that you’d love doing it here. Thank you Kristin for curating such an amazing spot and making it available to us…

We had a great time over there. It felt cozy and comfortable.

Silvio’s place was cozy, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Silvio was a great host, he had an alert about the thermostat and reached out immediately to check on us. Everything was good and there were no issues. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again if back in the area!

We loved our extended weekend stay at Wrenwood Ranch and we will undoubtedly be back again. Chad and his hosts were very polite and accommodating about everything, they even offered parking cover for my motorcycle as a severe storm moved in with possible hail, that was above and beyond. Overall vibe at Wrenwood Ranch is peaceful with good hardworking folks, making their dreams happen, and sharing it with others along the way.

The cottage is just steps away from the river, which makes for a perfect morning walk and evening to unwind. The Jacuzzi bathtub is relaxing. We had a good time fishing.

Perfect little spot to crash for the night with my boyfriend and dog! Cozy, clean, with a nice outdoor space. It was easy to access and just a quick stroll to local food. Would definitely recommend.

This was our 3rd stay at Opa's House. House had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our 2 dogs love the big fenced in yard to run around in. Having the covered carport right next to house big plus for loading and unloading care. Appreciate all the local information host leaves in the house. Fun to visit taproom next door to the house.

Our second stay here and it was as splendid as we remembered. Peaceful and quaint. We will be back!

My friends and I LOVE this place! It is so cute, inside and out and right off the lake which was beautiful! It made our stay in New Braunfels 10x better! We all gravitated towards the deck area, it was so peaceful in the evenings! Randy was awesome, he made sure we had all the information we needed and always responded quickly if we had any questions! We wish we could have stayed longer! 12 out of 10!

My family had the most marvelous time! The cabin was just perfect. The directions were so accurate as was the listing description. The cabin was well stocked and when we messaged a query it was fulfilled quickly. I just adored being out in the country on and in the river plus it is near hill country attractions.

You're never really sure what you're going to get with a guest house, even from the pictures. We walked in and were so pleased. Everything in the house was spotless, it couldn't have been any cleaner. The bed was so comfy, Same with the outdoor furniture. It was so nice to sit on the back screened in patio and not worry with bugs. The perfect place to have your morning coffee enjoying the beautiful view. The kitchen was very large and had anything you could possibly need to cook a meal if you wanted. The master bathroom was beautiful and also had a walk-in closet with extra pillows, blankets, etc. Bathroom toiletries were provided, which was a nice touch. The communication with the owner was awesome. He patiently answered a lot of questions for me, and it was never more than just a few minutes before he replied. Granbury and Glen Rose are both nice towns to visit. I think you will be very happy with the affordable rates they have.

This place was absolutely incredible! Exactly as the pictures and description. Beautiful, private cottage, that was very walkable to the Wimberly square. Also really neat that the place has access to cypress creek with kayaks to use! Robert and Charlene thought of everything- anytime I would think, “oh it would be nice if they had this”, I would open a drawer or cabinet or look around, and boom, there it was! Extremely hospitable hosts and very comfortable place. The king sized bed was also very comfortable, we slept almost 10 hours both nights! Thanks guys!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this beautiful Airbnb! The space was spotless and incredibly comfortable - just as described. What truly made the stay exceptional was the host. She was extremely responsive and helpful throughout. She went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and stress-free getaway. Thank you!

My daughter and I stayed for a few nights and had a great time. It's very peaceful but close enough to New Braunfels and Gruene for when you wanna get rowdy. We enjoyed our stay, very cozy and clean. Hosts were very quick and responsive with great recommendations. If you want BBQ definitely go to Black's and if you want true German food go to Alpine Haus, for breakfast there's a taco truck that it ahhhh-mazing called Taco 3 Hermanos off FM 306. Needless to say, we never used the kitchen but it was well equipped and clean.

My mother and I stayed overnight to attend a nearby concert. The place is gorgeous, you really CAN see for miles and miles! The bed was very comfortable. The house was well appointed. Both Kathy and Wayne were very responsive via text, call, and in person. I would definitely recommend and would stay at their property again the next time I'm in Dripping Springs!
