Family-friendly vacation rentals in Colombo

This is truly a home away from home. We were welcomed by the sweetest people to a very comfortable accommodation. The pictures really doesn't do the place justice. There's lots of space, the kitchen LITERALLY has everything you need, there's enough ACs to keep the temperature in the entire place fresh and the bathroom was super clean and homelike. It even has a bath which was really nice. There's a complete separate entrance to access the apartment so there's never any intrusion on either side. There was a really cool personalized touch that we don't find in most Airbnbs. We were gifted with fruits upon arrival and even new toothbrushes as well as toothpaste in the bathroom. We hit it off with the owners from the start and they even invited us over for dinner. They are extremely caring and generous hosts who love meeting people. The whole family is really awesome. We felt truly blessed to have passed through here and will definitely be coming back if we return to Colombo.

My family and I, wanted a place in Colombo for a month. After looking for a long time, we finally found this apartment, which truly exceeded our expectations. The best thing is the property it self which has many facilities such as the gym, pool, supermarket and an ATM. There are many restaurants close by aswell. Overall the experience was great. The only drawback if any I would say is the height of the bed, which is very low to the ground. Other than that fantastic place.

Well to start with - Ganeshananthan is a great host ! Everything she had put together in the home had a heart to it! The location was wonderful just about 100 mts from the beach. Our kids had an amazing time walking to the morning sun rise. The host also gave made us the most yummiest breakfast we had our entire stay! Please opt for Sri Lankan breakfast and do let her know the spice level - she takes care of the rest. Over all a great experience. Would love to visit and stay here over and over !

The Villa is stunning, even more beautiful than the pictures! The outlook from poolside was beautiful, we watched the monkeys playing in the trees while enjoying a lovely breakfast and throughout the day were visited by peacocks, iguanas and many different birdlife. What made this holiday an amazing experience was the excellent services of Chadima. Chadima is highly intuitive of what level of attention you prefer and always highly respectful of privacy and would always check before coming in the kitchen. Chadima prepared breakfast every day, asking for our preferences the night before. We also enjoyed some dinners and a lunch prepared by Chadima which were all excellent. Chadima is super proud of using the highest quality ingredients and would be at the fish markets in the early hours of the morning to get the catch of the day if fish was our choice for dinner. We also enjoyed a great fun cookery lesson with Chadima. Excellent & professional hospitality service - highly recommend.

The Palm Beach Villa was absolutely amazing! Piyal, the house manager, was waiting for us at the airport, and drove us to the Villa, even tho we arrived early in the morning. There was a wonderful breakfast waiting for us upon our arrival. Piyal and Sujami took such great care of us during the day, and Sumith was there all night, which made us feel very safe. We weren't expecting the high level of pampering we received from the 3 of them. It really made our stay truly relaxing. The Villa and grounds are beautiful! The dogs were an added surprise, and were definitely part of the experience :) The pool was heavenly! The beach was right there!!! and was so beautiful and virtually empty! Watching and helping with the morning fishermen was an experience we will never forget! The location is so private, but close enough to many of the island's attractions. Piyal was a gracious host, driver, and AMAZING cook!!! Sujami was so sweet and helpful. Sumith was great! Will def be back!

this place and location is quite awesome. loved everything about it. a minute walking distance from good restaurants and the beach. really a treasure of a place and excellent value for money.

Mohammed’s place was great value for money. It’s a modern, spacious, and fully furnished apartment. Very convenient access to all supermarkets, and other shops. We got a unit on the second floor which had great views from its balconies. We enjoyed the fireworks display from the balconies when the clock struck 12 on 1st Jan 2022. The kitchen has all utensils needed to cook your own meals. However, we noticed there wasn’t a gas cylinder owing to the current situation in the country. Still managed to cook most of our meals using the rice cooker. A hot plate or an induction cooker would be a nice addition. The building manager Mr. Mirzan was very nice and was flexible with all our requests. He made sure our stay at Amaze Residence was a pleasant one. We will definitely visit again.

Repeat visitor to this wonderful apartment, it is like a home away from home for me. Everything is as it should be, there is an abundance of room, privacy and freedom all at the same time. Thanks again Imara :)

Very nice location, quiet and large garden in the middle of the city! Large appartement. I liked to walk around to Mount Lavinia inside the small streets without using the main roads.. Shiromi is a very kind person and helpful.

Ryan was an exceptional host. Very warm and welcoming. He was also available for us anytime over call or evwn a message. Regarding the stay everything was taken care of as mentioned in the listing. The place is well maintained and organized. The location is at walkable distance from supermarkets like keels and cargills and also from public transport. All kitchen essentials were present for light cooking. Bathrooms had the necessary toileteries. The rooms were spacious. The washing machine was in good condition. Iron provided was good. No issues with internet, electricity and water as well. We stayed at the property for 9 nights and we always felt at home. Would definitely recommend this property to others. Suggestion would be to put a clock in the living area and bedrooms if possible.

Our 5 day stay at this Colombo 5 Residence was very comfortable. the host Mr. Chanaka and his family were extremely hospitable and kind enough to welcome us with a basket of fruits, tea, coffee etc. All the 4 bedrooms and living room are air-conditioned, spacious and clean.its a very quiet area not too far from ODEL,and Majestic City shopping centre. plenty of Restaurants closeby, downtown Colombo is about 15 to 20 mins drive. Towels are provided in all bathrooms, 3 bedrooms have bathrooms attached. There is a TV in the sitting room and crockery and cutlery in the kitchen. The host also can arrange airport transfers. The place is very safe and makes you feel at home. I definitely will recommend this site to all my friends and will stay there in the near future too.

During my month-long trip to Sri Lanka, I stayed at an exceptional Airbnb hosted by Shamilka. Upon my arrival, I was warmly welcomed by Shamilka's mother, Visaka, with whom I immediately connected. She greeted me with a friendly smile and a warm handshake. She even prepared a delicious rice and curry lunch when she learned I hadn't eaten breakfast. The accommodation was secure, private, and equipped with all the amenities I needed, including a washing machine and excellent air conditioning in all rooms. I particularly enjoyed opening the lounge windows at night, as the wire screens kept mosquitoes out. Situated at the end of a quiet laneway, the property provided a peaceful retreat away from noisy traffic. I also appreciated the comfortable armchairs for dining and relaxing. The water pressure was perfect, and hot water was plentiful. Conveniently located near local restaurants and supermarkets, I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Colombo. Gorgeous villa with an amazing view of the lake and lots of space for four couples. The housekeeper, Dileep, was so proactive and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed and offering drinks. We had an amazing barbecue on the last night and the food they cooked for us was always incredible, some of the best we had in Sri Lanka! The downstairs is open to the outdoors so expect some wildlife (geckos and mosquitos) - overall, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay with comfortable rooms and a pool with a perfect temperature!

the beautiful 3 bed apartment is a great place to stay 2 minute walk to beach restaurants train station and feels like a home from home. would definitely recommend this apartment 👌

Nelun's place was perfect, we stayed on first day of our sri lanka vacation and it was the best decission, Place looks exactly like photos and Nelun was very much helpful with insights of local attractions and buses and stuff.

For the dehiwala apartment review : The apartment was clean and well presented. We enjoyed watching the sunset each evening from the balconies which all have an ocean view. The location was great, the bedrooms and aircon comfortable and the bathrooms were clean & fresh. The hosts were responsive and flexible giving us a late check-out as there was no booking after us. The assistant organised for check-in and check-in was easy to liaise with.

Great location, and more than I expected. We had a great time and the host was really good at checking in on us and making the whole trip smooth. He taught how to turn on the POOL JACUZZI!! It was amazing! The bed sheets and towels were brand new or felt new! The space was spotless. We walked right across to the beach and had some amazing food! Surprise is mentioned the hosts name and you get some great service. Everyone seems to know him! The backyard is really quiet and you can have a lovely drink in the Gazebo overlooking the pool. This was a great find! I would recommend this for single and family visitors! Sri Lanka is amazing and the host is a true island hospitality king! We felt safe in the house and the neighborhood. Great WiFi and fully stocked kitchen! Bathrooms were spotless and great shower pressure. We loved it all and wished we stayed longer.

This was the second time at Chandrani's apartment and it was excellent. She is a kind and outstanding host. Communication is excellent and the apartment is quite beautiful with a view of the ocean. It is conveniently located close to Galle road with access to many restaurants including Green Cabin. I highly recommend Chandrani's place and look forward to staying there again. I did extend the reservation for one more week. Overall, a fabulous experience at this ideal flat.

We’ve stayed twice now and both times we have really enjoyed our stay. Very cozy. Highly recommend.
