Enjoy Tranquility in Luxury Cottage w/ River Views

ArronRating, 5 stars5 months ago
A lovely contemporary cottage in a very peacful location. Having private access to a bank of the River Naver was a real privilege. Inside was immaculate, I wanted for for nothing. If I found myself travelling again to this part of the far north, I would happily stay at Rowan House again.

3 Bedroom House - stunning island views and beach

LouiseRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My husband, 13 year old son and I have just had a totally AMAZING week in the Coldbackie cottage. The owners could not have been more helpful, kind, accommodating and thoughtful. The cottage is stunning, inside and out. Views to die for. Very comfortable beds. Spacious, incredibly well equipped, warm, cozy, comfy, silent. I have mobility issues and whilst this cottage would be a challenge for a full time wheelchair user, it works for someone with some level of mobility issues. I was able to enter the back door over some gravel, up one step. There is one downstairs bedroom with toilet next door to it and a shower with fairly flat entrance out the back of the property. Everything about our stay was fantastic from start to finish . We’ll be back!!!!!

We last minute booked due to the weather change. Kevin got back to us literally 5 minutes later with all the details. Had a wonderful stay, they had all the stuff you would need if you was cycling through so you didnt need to pop to the shops apart from some dinner ideas. However he does have a honesty shop with plenty of supplys. This also goes to charity. The breakfast was top notch and freshly laid eggs were amazing. Bigger bonus was this gets topped up every morning !! The site had an awesome fire pit area and also another undercover fire pit area to bbq outside if desired. There are plenty of areas to walk and dogs are welcome. Kevin was very welcoming and loved chatting to him. He had amazing storys of the local area and very knowledgeable. He has a very cute border collie too :) If we ever come up to the highlands again were definitely be staying here. Would highly recommend staying here and by far the best pods weve ever stayed in.

Gert is a very warm and friendly host. The beautiful tiny house’s interior was cleverly thought out with many extra touches so it felt homely. It was a great experience to stay in this well organised accommodation and in such a peaceful and beautiful village. The amazing view from the windows was of the coast and sea. The beach was only a short walk away. The local shop only a couple of minutes walk away.
