Stunning 17th century Cotswolds townhouse annexe

Rounceval House is a marvellous 17th century stone-built town house in the shadow of the south Cotswolds escarpment on the famous Cotswold Way walk. It was an upmarket 11-bedroom boutique hotel until recently. New owners Richard and Leanne now run it as a family home and rent out the self-contained three-double bedroomed eastern annexe wing to guests. It's a lovely space. The bedrooms are exceptionally large. The double beds in them are also very large (either king-sized or super king-sized).

A fantastic location. An historic house with a wealth of associations. Dating from c. 1640, the house was modernised in 1676 and then again in 1723. We have been here since 1999. A great stepping off point, whether you are going to London, The Cotswolds, Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham etc. We are very near to the Motorway network, 2 Railway Stations (Bristol Temple Meads or Bristol Parkway), Bristol Airport, Coach station in Bristol. Locally there are quality Pubs, Indian and Chinese eateries.

I had another pleasant stay at Ian's place. As before, communication with Ian was very easy, and prompt. Ian is very tolerant and understanding in last minute changes in my travel arrangements. Being greeted with a freshly brewed coffee and a chat with Ian was great. Most importantly, he is a well deserved 5-star super-person. Thanks Ian.

This stay suited our requirements. Keysafe. We could come and go at will, although we were out most of the time and just needed a place to lay our weary bones. Nice bathroom. Comfortable mattress. Could help ourselves in kitchen, but had brought our own breakfast stuff with us.
