Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Clayton

My family is native to the 1000 islands. I have been coming up my whole life. We have stayed in various locations and always been pleased. This was our first time not staying waterfront. The rates as a whole have gotten so high. This place was reasonable priced and perfect accommodations for my large family. We enjoyed all the amenities and was very comfortable. Close to town. The house was exactly as described. I would recommend to my family for future visits.

This place was beautifull! In a great, quiet and peaceful location. Would highly recommend and definitely come back for another stay! Lauren was super nice, responsive and clearly takes pride in hosting!

The mansion is beautiful! I will say as a person who is very easily spooked by old houses, this place doesn’t give off the creepy haunted vibe you’d expect it to. The house is a bit dusty as is to be expected it’s 200 years old and I definitely recommend bringing some extra pillows, other than that it was an absolutely beautiful weekend away, the house is historic and very fascinating. James offered us a FREE tour of the areas of the house that they are currently renovating and explained the deep history of each and every room. They have definitely done right by the original owner. If you’re considering staying here but you aren’t sure let my review be the one that sways you because it really is one of the most unique experiences you’ll have.

This place was spacious & beautiful! The outside area & dock was perfect for all of us! The kitchen was stocked w/ many plates, pots & pans. Would definitely come back !!

Beautiful surroundings and a really cozy cottage. Everything is as advertised and the host provided clear instructions and was quick to respond to questions. The place has everything you need to spend a few relaxing days. My only regret is not staying for more days :)

This place truly felt like a home away from home—beautiful, peaceful, and even better than the photos! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed—and more. The host was very kind and responsive. He let us use the firewood he had stocked, provided two BBQ grills, and had lots of board games perfect for kids. The house is fully carpeted, so using the front door with shoes can get messy. We used the back door through the garage so our shoes could stay inside. You can tell the host is very clean and takes pride in the home. There are also two canoes (we didn’t use due to weather). Thousand Islands Boat Tour is just 37 minutes away—perfect for a day trip. Would definitely stay again!

Overall it was great experience. Nice to stay!

This place is perfect! Beautiful sunset in the evening! It’s adorable and warm . I could have have stayed longer. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. I would definitely come back again . Close to all attractions in the Alexandria Bay. Love it!

spacious clean apartment with small but full kitchen, comfortable living room and comfortable king bed. a little tricky to find .. house numbers small ... and had a bit of trouble at check in .. but Barbara was very responsive to a phone call and greeted us with the key code we needed to get in. no river view as it was fall but just a short walk from house.

Emily was a great host! Very very responsive for our questions, was able to clear a couple things up, and even offered an extended stay! The location is nice, offers basic amenities. Couldn't quite get to the water from the location due to overgrowth, but it was a quick walk across the street to do so. The train going by was loud at times, but that's obviously not the hosts doing! lol. Otherwise, a suitable spot for a place to stay when visiting. :)

This place was so serene and quiet, we hadn’t realized it was the campground but honestly we couldn’t even tell. Everyone was quiet, we spent a bunch of time at the water across the little road. If you are someone like us - that likes a clean uncomplicated place to relax and be able to come and go at your leisure to explore the surrounding area - this is great! Loved being able to lay in the bed and look at the water or sit on the couch and do the same. Any questions I had were answered quickly. The entire thing from booking to leaving was effortless and stress free. We could drive from there basically anywhere we wanted to see pretty easily. We will definitely go back there!

It was perfect for us. It is small, but truly cozy and comfortable, perfect for 2 adults. As it was mid to late March in the north country we loved the fireplace and used it almost every night! The apartment was neat, clean, orderly and had everything we needed! If we go back to that area we will definitely look to rent there again!!

Perfect little getaway that my husband and I needed. Not too far from needing to go to town but in the woods enough that it was peaceful. We enjoyed the outdoors, fire by the river, and enjoying the sounds of nature. The screen door for the sliding door was one ofmy favorite things. During the day we used it to listento the rain, birds, and for the nice breeze. It was great to have that scenery while having a cup of coffee and read a book in the morning. Their DVD collection was awesome, nice variety with some great classics. My husband enjoyed a morning run through the area and told me it was the best place he has ran so far. I definitely wasn't expecting there to be any kind of food/seasonings and they had extra things in the cabin which was awesome since I forgot the sugar for my coffee lol. Overall we loved it and plan to do another getaway with them before we move.

Richard was extremely communicative and check in was easy. He met us at the car and walked us to the cabin/explained how everything works. Beautiful place for a weekend getaway. The cabin was clean and cozy, scenery was spectacular. Although we spent most of our time outside by the fire, there are games and DVD’s in the cabin for rainy days. Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for some peace and quiet. We would absolutely stay again!

Beautiful views from a very well taken cared for home. Clean and well stocked. I highly reccomend staying here. Excellent fishing!!!

This place was so cozy and quiet you almost not want to leave.. beds were super comfortable and all the little attentions that Margaret left behind for us were a very pleasant surprise. We explored the grounds and made it down by the lake, which is beautiful and must be great for swimming in the summer. We stayed four nights and would have stayed longer to explore the surroundings with much to discover. We highly recommend this place and we’ll definitely be back when returning to Kingston.

Had a wonderful week! Accommodations were perfect for us. Such a peaceful location. Enjoyed awesome family time in this wonderful "dream" of a home. Waterfront and porch was great for seeing birds, fish, boaters etc. as well as the water activities! Definitely recommend.

My wife Clare and I had a lovely stay! Mike and Kerrie are excellent hosts, and the cabin is clean, well-appointed and perfect for a quiet getaway. We highly recommend Mike's place!

Mary-Beth's cottage was an absolute dream! The house was spacious, spotless, and had breathtaking views. It truly felt like a little slice of paradise. We loved having access to paddle boards, a kayak, a grill, and a cozy firepit - everything you need for the perfect getaway. I celebrated my birthday weekend there and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Mary-Beth was super responsive and helpful throughout. Would 100% stay again!
