Hawkeye Hog house. Is this heaven??? No, it's Iowa

The beautiful sunsets are worth the stay alone! The place was so peaceful and was great for our dogs. Dan provided clear instructions and was very responsive. We had a minor drain issue, but he was quick to respond and more than willing to come fix it.

Unit-3 Newly remodeled 4-plex, studio apartment

EmilyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A great place to stay in Cedar Rapids! Easy walking distance to Czech Village and Hy-Vee. There’s a hot plate, air fryer, fridge, freezer, and microwave for all your food needs. The towels in the bathroom are very fluffy, which was a nice perk. The place is easy to find, and parking was straightforward. Would absolutely recommend, and stay again!
Sunset over the Mississippi River is captured between two trees, with lush green grass and vegetation in the foreground. The view reveals a serene pathway leading down to the water, where a dock stands silhouetted against the colorful sky.

Mississippi River Oasis

MarioRating, 5 stars2 days ago
This home is perfect for any trip adjacent to the Mississippi River. You get a great view of the river from the porch. There are also a few barges you can see coming in and out from a nearby wheat distributor. The place is otherwise tranquil and very quiet. Perfect for relaxing outside during good weather. The bedrooms, restroom, kitchen, living room and sunroom were all clean and well-stocked. Only complaint would be that the lighting was a bit dim even with all the lights on and the sun coming in. The location is a perfect midway point between a lot of cities. Less than an hour away from the QuadCities in the South and Dubuque/Galena in the North. If you need any groceries or much of anything else you need to take the bridge to Clinton, IA (10 min). The other closest towns of Albany and Fulton don't offer up much more than a gas station, antique store, or cafe. Overall an excellent spot to stay even if you don't plan on getting out much.

Great quiet stay which was exactly what we were looking for! House was as described and very clean. Location was within 30/40 minutes of towns with lots to do. Brush Creek Schoolhouse

MaggieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This place was so great for our trip to Maquoketa caves and Monticello! It's right across from a pasture of cows which was such a treat for us. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back. The house has three beds all upstairs - one queen in a room, and then a twin at the top of the stairs and another queen around the corner, but not in its own room. The kitchen had basic supplies (no oil/fat source so bring your own). When we come back I would consider bringing some of our own kitchen stuff to use since we do a lot of cooking (namely a better knife and possibly our own skillet) but we made do with the tools on hand. Service isn't great in the area and there is no wifi, but it's really nice to have the prompting to slow down and be present anyway :) just download maps before you go! Again, I definitely recommend staying here and going caving and exploring the beautiful area!
