Cottage vacation rentals in Clare County

Stoney Ridge on Blue Lake was a pleasant stay for an extended weekend trip with our children and grandchildren. The fresh decor and view of the lake were wonderful features. The finished garage with plenty of seating, view of the lake, giant Connect 4 game, and corn hole provided a fun space. We enjoyed the nearby swimming pool, beach, golf courses, shops and restaurants. Meriden was a very responsive host. Thank you, Meriden, for your hospitality!

Host Robert, was very responsive with any issues we had. We were in town for my sisters’ funeral, and it was extremely difficult for me. Unbeknownst to me my 3 brothers and nieces and nephews thought that they would bring food over to us because I was in a not in a good state of mind. They felt I needed people around me and needed to eat. The host Rob, was concerned with the amount of people that were there and clearly stated in the rules of limit of people and reached out to me and very kindly reminded us of the rules. I instructed my family to please go back to their Airbnb’s. I am very apolojetic for putting our host in that position. I would highly recommend this Airbnb. Very beautiful. Such a fun place to stay!

House was exactly has depicted. We enjoyed sitting on the back patio watching the fishing boats and enjoying beautiful sunsets. The hot tub was also nice. The house has plenty of towels and the kitchen had everything we needed.

This was the perfect setup for a little weekend getaway with a 6-year-old and our pup. The place was cute, the firepit was enjoyable, the area was beautiful, we felt we had enough privacy and everything we needed was included. We also used the guest passes to the community facilities to swim and enjoy the hot tub - excellent facilities there as well. We loved our weekend!

Kathleen was a very responsive and communicated well. Her place was exactly as described in the description. It was a very nice cabin, perfect for a couple families to enjoy themselves without being right on top of each other. The hot tub was especially nice after a long day on the ski hill! Would definitely stay here again in the future! Thanks for such a nice cabin and great experience!

Our family has stayed at many Airbnb’s, but this was one of our favorite stays! We kayaked, used the hot tub, explored Higgins Lake, and cooked all of our meals from the house. Kari’s home has every thing you need- felt just like home. The homemade breakfast and popsicles were a hit with our family! Our stay exceeded our expectations!!

Wow... Such a beautiful spot to wind down. Came for my husband's birthday weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better spot! Sarah was super sweet and helpful. House had ALL the amenities we needed too. We COOK on trips due to food sensitivities and the kitchen was very well equipped! House was spotless and very charming. Located on a beautiful large lake. We would certainly come back in a heartbeat!

I loved this Airbnb! It was a perfect size and was beautiful. Super close to town yet still felt like we had a quiet neighborhood to stay in as well. Our host was the sweetest and communicated so well with us. If I ever need to come back to lake city, I would love to stay here again!

We had a wonderful time! The hill down to the water is pretty steep, but the kids loved it. Unfortunately, the water was high and moving pretty fast, so we were unable to bring the kids out. Overall, we had a great time!

The house was a bit smaller than expected, but it still worked out great. The paddle boards, paddle boat and kayaks were so much fun! Virginia was very responsive to the minor glitch that we did have with the electricity. Very clean. The fire pit was awesome and wood was provided (Bonus!!).

Great location where we needed to be and Eric was very accommodating by letting us in a little early, wound recommend this place and wound stay there again.

This was by far one of the best Airbnbs that we’ve ever rented. Thomas and Karen were kind and excellent hosts - their response times were lightening-fast, they answered all of our questions before booking, and addressed any minor issues we had during our 2-month stay quickly. They even sent us a baby bath for our infant son! Their home is comfy, spacious, and fully-stocked with essentials, linens, DVDS, and games for a comfortable stay. The kitchen especially has everything you could possibly need! The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Our dog had lots of room to run in the backyard and beyond in the lake bed. Even without the lake, the view is scenic and feels very private. Thomas and Karen were so welcoming — we highly recommend their home!

We booked this cabin for a nice little relaxing girls getaway and it was just that! Located in a very quiet neighborhood. The cabin itself was very nice and clean. Only snafu was the neighborhood was without power for several hours one evening (obviously not fault of the host). I would recommend this cabin to others and would definitely return. What a beautiful place to stay and come back to after a long day of training for a week. It was peaceful, quiet, had a fireplace, a private lake that we used for kayaking, an indoor pool, and a tennis court. There was even $1 ice cream bars at the community center. Host was responsive and gave heads up about things as needed. They did not bombard with unnecessary information and gave clear instructions and recommendations in a binder provided. The only thing we wished it offered was the ability to bring our dog. We would definitely come back for a getaway trip though.

The Blue Gill Cottage was a beautiful place to spend Memorial Day weekend with our family! The location is so peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed the beautiful lakefront view, kayaking and fishing during the day and bonfires at night! Barbara was a wonderful host who was quick to respond with any questions we had. We highly recommend! We plan on many more visits in the future!

This was our second time staying at Jennifer's place. We absolutely love it! It is perfect for our family of 4. A short walk down the driveway and you are at a park, beach, and fishing dock. The beach is great! The water is clear and no seaweed. My son and I caught small blue gills at the fishing dock, and my daughter loves the park. Also, be sure to check out The Depot (10 min walk) for ice cream and pizza! Well be back!

We loved our time at the lake house with our fur babies! It was so peaceful and relaxing for us! We have family in area so we definitely will be back!
