La Casatorre, the medieval home of the Malaspina family, Tuscany

Una vera casatorre medievale di avvistamento del X secolo dei Malaspina nel borgo di Irola ( Villafranca in Lunigiana, Alta Toscana): un soggiorno raro tra pietra antica, atmosfera d'epoca e comfort moderni. La casa è unica nella zona e conserva dettagli autentici come pietre secolari, tetto a vista in castagno, ed un bagno con doccia nella roccia. Welcome to Pagliarilandia, the small vacation home surrounded by nature. Located in the Vona Valley at an altitude of about 1000 meters, in San Pietro (Pajare locality), which is part of the municipality of Borgo Val di Taro, in the province of Parma, in the Emilia-Romagna region. Val Vona is typical for its unspoiled nature, rich in natural beauty: Lago Buono with its typical flora, beech clearings, centuries-old chestnut groves, carved cliffs, hazel trees, and junipers.

In an oasis of peace and tranquility, surrounded by unspoiled nature, we rent a small rustic mountain villa that is part of an ancient fief of the castle of Belforte (in Borgo Val di Taro), completely renovated while maintaining an ancient state of preservation. It enjoys a beautiful panoramic view of the Taro valley up to the Ligurian mountains. It is surrounded by chestnut woods and centuries-old oaks, just a 10-minute drive from Borgo Val di Taro, the main village.

The beach, center, restaurants, station, and ferries are within walking distance.
