Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Chester

The property is beautiful and exquisite in design. Large TV’s in every room and all mod-cons. There is plenty of space for 4 adults to move around. There are also plenty of little extras in the kitchen like condiments and spices, tea, coffee etc. There is a large gas BBQ that we used and a fire pit in the centre of a large table. Fortunately one of us thought to bring wood as there wasn’t any provided and it’s such a lovely feature to have a blazing fire late at night whilst drinking & having good conversation. Maybe it’s an idea for the host Ash to either provide wood or to make note on the booking that guests are to provide their own. The pub next door is also really nice. I honestly didn’t want to leave and would say that a one night stay is not enough. My only negative would be that as check-in is not until 4pm & check-out is 10am that when you consider maybe 7 hours sleep you’re not actaully getting much time to enjoy the place especially if like us you go out for a few hours.

I had a lovely stay at the Farmhouse. The accommodation is beautiful and very comfortable and easy to find using Jennie's instructions. The surrounding area is very peaceful. Highly recommended and will be visiting again.

Lovely hidden gem! Tucked away but so close to everything, we loved staying here. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 bigger kids. Beautifully decorated and furnished with lots of additional touches like the very thoughtful welcome basket - very much appreciated. River views are beautiful, especially from the balcony on a sunny morning. We loved our daily wander into Chester via Grosvenor Park or by the river for a slightly longer a scenic route. Jaunty Goat was a favourite for breakfast, and we wandered round the walls to The Architect pub for a nice drink, but so many options within the city. Super handy Waitrose is just across the road. We even managed to tuck our fairly big car into the parking space (we were warned it was tight but it was totally fine with a bit of mirror manoeuvring). Would definitely recommend.

We booked Frog Manor to celebrate a 50th birthday and it was perfect. There was nothing we needed that wasn’t catered for. Richard was friendly, helpful and responsive. The property was clean and the grounds were well cared for. Loved the resident ducks and squirrels and even made friends with the gardener’s dog Hattie. The food at the local pub was lovely. Would recommend.

What a beautiful little cottage. The garden is a little oasis of calm and we felt like we were in paradise. Had a lovely weekend relaxing and exploring g the area which is just like the Cotswolda. we will definitely be returning

We had a lovely stay in the cottage. We had all of the facilities that we needed and the location was perfect for exploring up and down the coast. Information leaflets were very useful and the shower was great! The welcome pack was very good and we could have a cup of tea and biscuits on arrival. The use of upcycled furniture also made the cottage unique and very welcoming. The village had a very good charity shop / café and also had a good Chinese takeaway and some decent pubs. The cottage is also close to Talacre beach, Prestatyn and Flint / Holywell so there is always somewhere to visit. Thank you Chris for a lovely holiday rental! Dave, Chris, Elsie and Ruby

Joshua's place was fantastic. Very clean and tidy. Nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable. I can't say enough good things about this space and the host. The location was perfect with an easy walk to within the walls. We never struggled to find parking (which had been a worry - but it was not a problem in the end). Great stay and highly recommended!

We recently stayed for a week in this delightful cottage in Port Sunlight to see Bruce Springsteen and it was a truly wonderful experience. The property was impeccably clean, making it feel instantly welcoming and comfortable. It was clear that the hosts take great pride in maintaining a high standard. Speaking of the hosts, they were incredibly responsive and accommodating. Any questions we had were quickly addressed, which added to the ease of our stay. Their attentiveness made us feel well cared for throughout. The location is what sets this cottage apart. Nestled in the heart of Port Sunlight, a village steeped in history and charm, it provided a unique setting you won’t find anywhere else. The surroundings were peaceful and picturesque, perfect for leisurely strolls. Additionally, the location offered fantastic access to Liverpool by train, making it ideal for exploring the city’s attractions while enjoying a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle. This was an absolutely gorgeous place to stay, very clean. Felt very homely and nice to relax. Fab little outside area to relax in. Lovely comfortable beds, nice little touches left by Nick, we really appreciated the bread and condiments. Nick was very helpful and we would love to stay again if the chance ever arises. Thank you!

Jane's apartment is fantastic! It's spacious, beautifully furnished and has wonderful views. Four of us stayed for one night and found it comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed a nice walk along the prom and found a handy pub to have a good lunch in. The city centre is within easy reach with good transport connections. We were made to feel at home by Jane and the cold beers in the fridge on arrival were most welcome! Thank you. Her communication and instructions were excellent from the moment we booked. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Liverpool. Highly Recommended!

This was our second visit to Lynne's place and once again we had a wonderful time. Lynne was a congenial host and the apartment had everything as described. A two minute walk takes one down to the River Mersey foreshore with paved footpath alongside, and Anthony Gormley's "The Men" can be seen en route. From the kitchen the view of the garden and over to the West Lancashire Golf Course is delightful. Parking right outside and short walk to train station were a bonus. We look forward to another return visit one day.

Excellent base for what we wanted. Lots of local eateries in walking distance, very quiet location as its away from the main road. The rooms are massive for a two bedroom flat. Really helpful instructions on how to get there and really well presented. I would highly recommend and will be staying again myself.

Maria's apartment was absolutely amazing. First of all the location was fantastic and very easy to find. The actual apartment was as listed, a very well kept spacious apartment over looking a beautiful setting of a church grounds. Best of all though with this apartment was Maria and the staff at the pub. Absolutely brilliant amazing hosts, felt like we had known them ages, made us feel very welcomed and the restaurant food was outstanding. Cannot recommend this apartment, the stag inn and the village life highly enough. will be revisiting in the future.

Fabulous location for anyone looking to stay in the peaceful countryside while still able to access a beautiful town. Lovely accommodation which is really spacious.

Perfect location for exploring the area. It is also within walking distance (less then 2 minutes) from the town centre where there are plenty of pubs and restaurants. The apartment overlooks a beautiful park and you'll get visited by the ducks in the morning. The got tub is a very welcome extra after a long day. The hosts are fantastic, easy to contact, any questions are answered quickly, comprehensive instructions and very friendly. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you'll need. Great value for money. We will be back

What a lovely stay at Amanda’s place. She was very helpful on arrival. The town is walking distance and lots of history. The chapel its self was perfect for the two of us for a couple of nights away. Had a great time. Thank you so much

We stayed here for a weekend away as a group of school mates all turning 30. The property was the perfect base for us, providing us with the best possible experience. We’re an active, activity based bunch and this stay had something for everyone. Multiple activities, from the pool table, darts board, table tennis, air hockey, and yes the Pool and Sauna. Many of my friends couldn’t believe just what we had found for this stay. Private use of the pool is a great bonus. All beds were made, fresh linens and towels provided. We used the kitchen to cook our breakfast each morning. There’s ample parking for 3-4 vehicles inside and plenty on street right next to the property, which is a quiet street so not a stress. Whilst the decor is aged, we are not particular on this and found it added to the charm. Plenty of beds, bathrooms and spots to relax. We would stay again! The host was fantastic in communication and response to questions posed and made the whole process easy.

Great place to stay with beautiful views. Struggled getting the hot tub up to temperature that was the only issue encountered (very windy conditions)
