Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Cheshire West and Chester

We have just returned from a really lovely two night stay at David’s home. The pictures and description were very accurate (yes that beautiful bathroom IS amazing!) and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our son adored the high sleeper bed and the rooms are really spacious for a travel cot for our daughter. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need to create a light bite or a much bigger meal. The location was very convenient for everything we had visited Chester to explore (the City walls, Chester Zoo, Cheshire Oaks and the Cheshire Ice Cream Farm) and it was lovely to have such a comfortable base to return home to. David was an impeccable host, leaving a useful guide and responding incredibly quickly to any questions we had both before and during our stay. We would definitely recommend to others! Thank you.

Great location for walking to Chester centre. Only 10 minute drive to Chester zoo. Supermarket round the corner. Beautiful house which met all our needs. House was easy to find and we could park outside. Very clean and comfortable. Great communication with Hannah who let us know the house was ready if we wanted to check in early. Would definitely stay again and recommend. Thankyou.

Barbara really is a fantastic host. She surprised us with a card and bottle of wine for my sister who stayed at the cottage the night before her wedding. She was also incredibly responsive and proactive with communication. You couldn't ask for a better host.

Lovely hidden gem! Tucked away but so close to everything, we loved staying here. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 bigger kids. Beautifully decorated and furnished with lots of additional touches like the very thoughtful welcome basket - very much appreciated. River views are beautiful, especially from the balcony on a sunny morning. We loved our daily wander into Chester via Grosvenor Park or by the river for a slightly longer a scenic route. Jaunty Goat was a favourite for breakfast, and we wandered round the walls to The Architect pub for a nice drink, but so many options within the city. Super handy Waitrose is just across the road. We even managed to tuck our fairly big car into the parking space (we were warned it was tight but it was totally fine with a bit of mirror manoeuvring). Would definitely recommend.

We stayed as a group of 6 Fri-Sun to celebrate my daughter’s 21st Birthday. The house was amazing, we were blessed with amazing weather allowing us to enjoy the beautiful outside area . Henry was really helpful advising us of the best places locally to eat and they did not disappoint. A memorable stay was had by all and I would highly recommend the house.

Really beautiful lodge in a great location. The pictures don’t do the place justice, the lodge is very well equipped and in fantastic condition. Hilary is a great host and very responsive. Would highly recommend and will return.

Really lovely house, in a great location! We enjoyed the short walk into the centre via either the city wall or canal and would also recommend Telford’s which is just a couple of minutes from the house for food and drink. The beds were super comfortable, great shower and nicely decorated - would definitely stay here again.

Shirley and Rob were great hosts, very welcoming, so helpful and easy going. The apartment is beautifully finished with high quality furnishings and very comfortable beds and bedding. The en-suite is lovely with an excellent shower, quality towels and is spotlessly clean. The lounge is a great size with a log burner and all the home comforts you would want. Plenty of cutlery, crockery and utensils were provided as well as some provisions for tea coffee, crumpets and breakfast cereals. The property is in lovely rural location which is very peaceful and relaxing. I and my wife would definitely like to return if we need accommodation in the Liverpool / Chester area. I would highly recommend staying with Shirley and Rob if you want a lovely place to stay at a fair price. Many thanks for making our stay such great experience 😊

Sarah's flat was beautiful - very clean and well presented and in a fabulous location, overlooking the river. The whole flat is light and bright and in very good condition. The restaurant below has great food and is worth a visit while you stay. We were only there for a day, but would love to visit again. Sarah was great to communicate with and very helpful at all times. Highly recommend.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend in Chester staying in Michael's spacious flat. The location was perfect in leafy Curzon Park within easy walking distance of the river and the centre of beautiful Chester with all its amenities. The kitchen was very well equipped, the large sitting room had plenty of space to put your feet up and the parking for two cars was a bonus The place was scrupulously clean.

Perfect venue to accommodate us whilst waiting for our house purchase to complete. Particularly liked self contained accommodation with own access door and all on the one level - no stairs. A real bonus was the weekly fresh bedding and towelling and general cleanup as we were here for 5 weeks. We had no issues during our stay but on the occasions that we saw Karen she always checked that everything was ok. Thank you Karen.

The Hooley was a great apartment to stay while we were in Chester for a few days. The place was very tidy and close to centre & other amenities. Communication with Polly was amazing.

We chose an Airbnb in Chester based on location. Megan’s space definitely delivered! Easy walk to everywhere within Chester, especially the racecourse and all the shops and restaurants in central Chester. Megan was an extremely responsive host. When the cleaners forgot to leave towels, she responded quickly to get the towels over to the flat. Our stay was wonderful.

Lovely place. Great for exploring the Chester area. Jo was super helpful and clear with instructions/recommendations. She was also really responsive and friendly. The place was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. Really appreciate that toddlers/small children were thought of with the built in stair gates, highchair, travel cot, bath toys etc. Comfy beds and good shower pressure also! Would highly recommend this place and I think Jo is a brilliant host
