Cottage vacation rentals in Cheddleton

this was our second stay at hurst cottage and was just as good as the first!. lovely cottage with beautiful gardens, hot tub was lovely and everywhere was spotlessly clean. linnett was very responsive to any queries we had. would highly recommend.

The house was lovely, great location and within easy reach to places of interest. Kitchen outstanding layout and homely. Beds were very comfortable and hot tub great after a long day on the hills! However, the bedroom upstairs has a step that leads to the stairs and if you lose your footing will cause a serious accident as railings are not secured as they should be, and wobbles as you hold on going up and down stairs. No en-suite upstairs so if you want the loo during night, and miss that step it would be good night sienna! The sofa looks new but very very uncomfortable and I found the floor better to park my bum. There are some chips in a couple of the cups and a few wear/tear marks on the bar stools. The host responded in a timely manner to a couple of questions which I had about WiFi code and my stay was home from home, we enjoyed our 4 nights in the Peaks. Thanks Scott.

We’ve just come back from a short stay at Jacks cottage, this was our first booking through Airb&b so we didn’t really know what to expect, we needn’t of worried as we thought Jacks cottage looked even better in the flesh than in the pictures so did it disappoint. The place was spotless when we arrived which is great as it put us all at ease, we felt at home straight away. Jacks cottage is situated in a small and very quiet village, honestly there is no noise. We live in a busy town with road noise so going to sleep at night with no sound but the birds singing was lovely. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a day out walking and again was spotless. The cottage is in a perfect location to explore the Peak District with some amazing walks right on the doorstep, we particularly enjoyed Bakewell, The Chatsworth estate and finding the very local Robin Hoods cave ( what 3 words assets.joined.offer if you struggle to find it). Myself and my partner came to stay for 2 nights. As soon as we walked in we felt extremely welcomed and at home. Lots of detail was put into the cottage along with homemade cake and fresh apple juice. The surroundings were amazing and hosts had provided maps and allowed us access on the farm. Would 100% recommend and we will definitely be booking to come again. We met both hosts who were very lovely and you can tell they have put a lot of thought into the cottage and hard work. There is generally nothing to complain about, the whole cottage was perfect!

We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful Airbnb. The one-bedroom space was incredibly spacious and well laid out, with a super comfy bed that made it hard to leave in the morning! The private garden was huge and perfect for relaxing, especially with the hot tub—it felt like our own little retreat. The area is peaceful and quiet, which made the whole stay even more relaxing. Highly recommend for a cosy, private getaway!

Caroline's place was lovely, a peaceful break in the countryside! A reasonable distance from some of the attractions of the Peak District, including the Tissington Trail and Thor's Cave. The village was quaint and we had a lovely meal in the local pub, The Sycamore (recommended by Caroline). The only downside was the typical British summer weather raining down on us - wish us better luck next time!

Had an amazing few days at Dove Cottage. Beautiful setting. Lovely cottage with everything you could possibly need. Extremely comfy beds. Quality linen. Kitchen was well equipped and great experience cooking on the Everhot Stove! Rupert is very welcoming and friendly and easy to chat to about anything you might need to know. The location is excellent, with walks directly from the front door or several just 10 min drive

First time I’ve used Airbnb and am I glad to stay we were fortunate enough to stay at Katie’s cottage! It was exactly as described, 100% accurate in terms of the pictures and the host (Katie) herself was a genuine, amazing soul! Not many things are perfect, however this was as close to perfect if it’s what you’re looking for! Loved it!

Stayed at this wonderful cottage with my grandchildren. Five mins from Alton Towers and lovely walks nearby. It was like home from home and we will definitely book again!! amazing property definitely recommend

Just got back from a few days at The Gatehouse (or Fred's Shed). It was a wonderful place made so much more so by John and Pam. I arrived and was greeted by John who showed me round, imparted a huge amount of really helpful local knowledge and assured me that help was just a door knock away if needed. Pam had left a mountain of goodies to ensure I didn't go hungry, catering for my four legged friend as well. We were out walking the hills every day and this was a lovely bolthole to return to. being a stone cottage it remains cool even when temperatures outside rocket. John recommended a variety of local walks, pubs, and tea rooms. We tried the one in the village and had a wonderful meal. Sure The Gatehouse is not a mansion, but the use of space is mind-blowing, so there really is everything we needed. The setting is so peaceful and rural, walks straight from the doorstep, it's worth giving the car a break. John was so helpful, friendly and easy going. Would I return... absolutely!

The Old Chapel is a perfect escape from the busy pace of life. It’s cozy, full of character, and surrounded by beautiful, peaceful gardens that make you feel right at home. We planned to explore the Peak District but ended up spending two relaxing days just enjoying the cottage and its surroundings. Host Sarah’s artistic touch is evident in every corner. Well-equipped and welcoming—highly recommended for couples and families.

We had such a wonderful stay at the bakehouse. It’s clear this is this is a much loved family retreat, not an Airbnb that cares only about the margins and provides the bare minimum. The house is so well appointed: it makes it so easy to self cater when there is everything you could possibly need. Homemade pizza at dusk on the terrace listening to the birdsong was a highlight for us: how wonderful to have a pizza oven! We were also very grateful for the amount of items available for our baby which meant we could travel light. The hosts provided a very helpful manual and were responsive to any questions. It’s an ideal base to explore so many beautiful places close by and we certainly hope to return.

We had a great stay at Debbie and Ian’s cottage. Ian was friendly and helpful — he even made the garden more secure so our two small dogs could safely enjoy the space, which was such a thoughtful gesture. We really appreciated the welcome treats of cakes, eggs, and milk — a lovely touch after our journey. The cottage is in a peaceful, quiet location, perfect for relaxing. The nearest village, Harrington, is about a 10–15 minute drive, so it's a good idea to bring food if you're arriving in the evening. The hosts were responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a calm getaway with great hospitality! 😊

Lovely cottage on the edge of the Peak District. Everything you could wish for is present in the kitchen. Chris is very friendly, and there is a lot of privacy. The road up to the cottage is quite steep, so you might want to step out of the car to avoid scraping your towing hook on the ground (whoops). Because the cottage is quite old, the doors and ceilings in the bathroom and bedrooms are quite low, so if you are over 180cm you might hit your head once or twice. But the views and cosyness of the cottage is worth the hassle.

Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Cottage is in perfect area - 1/2 h from anything- places you want explore, restaurants and shops. House was amazing- very homey. And there is everything what you need 😉

Such an amazing place with all elements beautiful crafted to create a warm and inviting space. Had the best stay here, with such a responsive and informative host !! Wish we could’ve stayed longer as we felt right at home. Everything was so well thought out and with the best intentions as well, Tupperware, a thermos, large brollies etc etc The most enchanting place !! <3

a great little cottage, minutes away from Alton Towers. if that's not for you, then Ramblers Retreat and a lovely walk around the surrounding country side is a 15 min walk away. beautifully kept cottage with everything you need (except a TV). wasn't an issue for us as we bought a spare one with us. Rebecca was great to deal with and a really helpful host. We will definately book again.

Lovely little place, great views across the valley and good walks right on the doorstep. Great pub not too far away across the countryside, via the odd stile.

We really enjoyed our long weekend in Blacksmith's Barn. It's in an amazing location in the centre of Hope, and blessed with a private parking space. We found it to be very clean, well-equipped and ideal for our needs. We were visiting primarily to walk and it's perfect for that - MamTor, Castleton, Win Hill etc are all within striking distance. We didn't go out in the car for the whole time we were there! We will definitely try to stay here for our next visit to the Peak District.

What a gem of a property, clean, very comfortable, extremely well equipped and in a perfect location to explore the Peak District. The beauty of the surroundings is majestic, could not ask for anything more. The EV charger is a very welcome feature given the dearth of public chargers in the area. Local pubs lived up our expectations. Patrick & Anne were most helpful throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Anne's cottage and we will be back!
