This is a completely separate 1000 sqft. one bedroom apartment located in the historical landmark Mapplewood neighborhood. The house is located 5 minutes from unity and Rochester General Hospital. It is 10 minutes from Lake Ontario and a few parks. 10 minutes from downtown Rochester to participate in a variety of year round festivities. 20 minutes from Strong Hospital, movie theaters and more. On street parking that alternates every twelve hours or parking one street down with no time changes.

Stayed here 6 months while working in the area. It’s a nice place. Single house with 4 bedrooms, the basement room has a private half bath. The shared bathroom wasn’t as much of an issue as I thought it would be, no issues with people as everyone seemed to be considerate. You come here, rent a room and do your own thing. No one breathing down your neck, you are a responsible adult. Everyone leaves each other alone. You’ll go days or weeks without seeing anyone else. I was hesitant on renting a room but this was a good experience. Nice house and amenities, only a mile or two from stores. Would rent again.

Andrea was absolutely an amazing host. I am new to ROC and wasn’t driving, I contacted her to ask questions before booking to ensure her place was the right fit & she never hesitated to give info even tho I wasn’t yet a guest. Her place is cozy and gives a homey vibe. She was always responsive when I message her and communicated with respect. If you don’t cook there are several lil convenience stores & restaurants nearby. It is also a great spot for someone (female like myself) who is concerned with safety.

I loved my stay at the Zen. Dana and MD are the friendliest hosts I’ve ever met:) They communicated with me throughout my stay and always responded quickly. They really went above and beyond by having essentials throughout the Airbnb! Everything was super clean, peaceful, and quiet. Not to mention how amazing I slept in the bed with those pillows! I also enjoyed how there were bus routes very close to the place. Ash was always there to greet me and I loved giving her pets. 10/10 stay, I highly recommend and will be returning to whenever I’m in Rochester again. Thanks Dana and MD! :)

Awesome stay! Great Host! Check in was easy peasy, area quiet & peaceful, not to mention close to a lot of things rather it’s groceries, gas, bars, restaurants or gym! Home is amazing, looks exactly like the pics! Had a great stay! Would definitely recommend! A real “home away from home.”

I had a fantastic experience staying at Mamadou's place. From the moment I arrived, Mamadou was incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful. The home was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described—if not better! Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, making my stay feel both relaxing and stress-free. Mamadou was always available for questions and gave great local tips that made a big difference in how I experienced the area. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests and goes above and beyond to make sure you feel at home.
