Monthly Rentals in Charlestown of Aberlour

Cottage was stunning and in such a good location for all the distilleries we were visiting. The place was spotless and had everything you’d need for your stay. Karen passed her contact number but to be honest she had a comprehensive information book with all the local activities. We travelled to visit the local distilleries and GlenAllachie is about a two minute walk from the cottage. We had lovely weather so sat outside on the garden furniture and only saw about two cars pass and a handful of tourists. It really was quiet and relaxing and I’d have no hesitation in recommending the cottage. I’ll certainly be booking again when I’m next up. It’s a wee gem!!!! Thanks Karen

We can't say enough about our time at Kate & Mark's farm, except that we wish we could have stayed longer. Their farm is a lovely rural property, a country lane lined with wildflowers, and complete with chickens, pigs, ducks, and duck eggs for breakfast. Kate was kind to prepare homemade scone-like cookies and homemade jam for our arrival, and a small bottle of milk for tea and coffee. Mark's woodworking pieces are everywhere, and what a talent! We loved our time, and it was a great place to stay if you want to explore the North/Northeast shore of Scotland - well worth seeing! (Covesea, Cullen, Portsoy, Crovie, Fraserburgh, Peterhead). We hope to return to Scotland again and if we do, we will stay with Mark & Kate again!

The most charming stay of our trip! We absolutely adored our time at this Archiestown cottage—truly our favorite place we’ve stayed. Every detail was so thoughtfully considered, and as someone who works in interior design, I found myself inspired by the cozy, well-curated decor. The cottage had more than we needed, and everything felt both functional and beautiful. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we genuinely wished we were staying longer. The only hiccup was figuring out how to get hot water in the shower—but I’m quite certain that was user error. We’d return in a heartbeat!

Amazing place. Beautifully done inside and whisky theme to sitting room. Clean and well done inside and good amenities and great shower pressure. Really charming 2 story house and location is superb. Right opposite the Highlander pub, next to Craigellachie Hotel and steps away from the Speyside way. 3 of us came for a whisky trip, absolutely loved it and could walk to the corsage and distilleries. And… Michelle does whisky tours herself and they are an absolute must! Connoisseur walking tour of Dufftown was fantastic!
