Vacation rentals near Cayuga Lake

Drift away was a wonderful cottage right on the lake. Place was extremely comfortable. Beautiful views. We didn’t have the greatest weather which would have made the trip so much better, so we hope to plan a trip back soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Evan's house. The location is great - secluded but not isolated, and not too far from shopping (Wegmans – 15 minutes) and colleges (Ithaca College – 18 minutes). The house was very spacious and tastefully done. For people that like to cook, there is oil, salt, pepper, ketchup and mustard in the kitchen so there's no need to buy or bring them. There were many thoughtful touches, including flashlights by the outside doors, labels by the lights and temperature controls, phone chargers by the beds, and an outside poop bag garbage bin. Our dog really liked running around the property. Evan was super responsive and always got back to me right away.

Easily now one of our favorite places to stay! Absolutely spotless and in a peaceful locale (we even saw a woodpecker!) Drivable to both Seneca and Cayuga and to Ithaca. Major kudos to Diane and Glen for not only creating a charming and welcoming space with so much thought and care, but ALSO for making it affordable! I have had some terrible, terrible experiences with AirBnB hosts cancelling my reservations to gauge me for more money when they realize it's commencement for one of the colleges, even if that's not remotely the reason for our visit. Finding this listing was fate! I will definitely try to book again in the future. And hopefully the weather will be nicer!

We had a great time here! Chris gave us incredible food and activity recommendations making our stay extremely worthwhile. He was responsive and helpful throughout the entire weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here- the views were incredible, the dock was so peaceful, and we loved having access to a fire pit. The driveway is pretty steep, required to walk up/down to access the dock. Our stay was perfect, can't wait to return.

This place was amazing. She accommodated us last minute. It was beautiful. It felt very at home very clean. My children loved it so much that they actually asked me if we could stay there forever. I travel a lot and stay at many Airbnb’s and this was one of the best ones I’ve ever been at . They had lots of extra towels, lots of extra blankets, which a lot of places do not have. I cannot not say enough about the space. It is amazing.

Such a cute little place. So clean and loved everything! We walked in and laundry was over flowing. But she fixed the problem within the hour! Very responsive and great host. The place was just like described. Definitely weird not having a door for the bathroom. But not an issue for us. Would definitely stop by again! Thank you!

An absolutely beautiful home with a view to die for. Well appointed and equipped with all the amenities you need for a relaxing get away. Ms. Casey is a wonderful host, and always responded quickly to all my questions. Thank you for making our family get away so memorable.

Enjoyed out time - sadly the weather wasn't the greatest but if you are here during the warmer weather I am sure it is fantastic. Very relaxing time and very clean home for our Easter weekend the home has a lot of space to spread out and enjoy reading etc. We had a lot of down time and everyone enjoyed the screened in area and the comfy beds sitting on the deck and the lake view. Pretty close to a few wineries and Wegman's which was great for all the meal prep as we didn't dine out much in the area but there are many places close by. A great time with our son from Syracuse Univ it was nice for him to get off campus and relax before stressful final projects and final exams and for us to meet him near SU- a little less than hour drive.

We enjoyed our stay in this very peaceful lakeside setting. There is an attached deck to the house, a lower level patio with table and firepit, and stairs to lake level, to accomodate all physical abilities in having an enjoyable time here. The home is well stocked and very comfortable. The road is nice for taking walks. Thank-you Michelle!

Jill's place was perfect for celebrating a special occaison! The location is picture perfect and there is everything you could ask for! Great communication and very clean and organized! We highly recommend for anyone travelling to Seneca Lake!

Karen was a very gracious and responsive host. We found everything we needed which is in line with top rated hosts. We even found an umbrella anticipating we’d need it when caught in the rain to get ours out of the car on the morning. Very quite and peaceful location. One of the thoroughly clean properties we stayed at. And my wife’s a perfectionist for cleaning! Convenient location to the wineries especially. I would recommend this property to anyone.

This is a great location for a weekend spent visiting Ithaca, Cornell, enjoying the Apple Festival, and seeing all the gorges and the waterfalls. The leaves are turning and the fall colors are spectacular. We even went swimming in the chilly lake!

Cannot say enough about this home and its owner! The solar home was well-kept, beautifully decorated and perfectly efficient! Its central location to many walkable restaurants, shops and lakefront pathway just added to its wonderful appeal! It was also a very short ride to many of the amazing wineries that Seneca Lake has to offer. Tracey’s communication before and during our visit was always helpful and kind! It added to the already comfortable feeling of having a “home away from home”.

Several families members and I decided to take a long weekend on Seneca Lake and this house was perfect! It is bright and spacious with gorgeous views and plenty of outdoor seating. There are also restaurants and wineries/breweries close by. We would definitely rent this house again.

We loved our Spring stay at the Carlin Cottage and definitely plan on booking again! The kitchen had everything you’d need and then some and was such a beautiful place to prepare meals with the windows looking out on the lake. I brought K cups for coffee, but I was pleasantly surprised they had them there. We walked the bluff every morning, sat in the sun and read, kayaked, cooked on the great grill and used the fire pit. A storm rolled through one day and watching it come up the lake from the day bed in the screened in porch is something I will never forget. We talked about going to a winery or doing a boat tour but we really didn’t want to leave the cottage. It was heaven.

Highly recommend. The house was clean, exactly as described, comfortable for family of 5. Amazing lake view from house and only few steps to lake. Perfect place for sunset view over the lake.

Frank and his Bungalow were fantastic! The space was clean as a whistle and had everything anyone could need. The design and workmanship were top drawer. Frank is a very nice caring man. I enjoyed talking to him, a true laker. And the Lake is breathtaking… Thank you so much!

This lakefront cottage was in a beautiful location and directly on the water, so you could go to sleep and wake up to the peaceful sounds of the lake. Every bit of space was used efficiently, resulting in the place feeling roomier than you may think at first glance. It was even pet-friendly with our dog finding a nice spot right by the door where he could watch all the happenings on the lake no matter what the weather! Thanks for a great weekend stay!

Peaceful escape in the water. Staying on this houseboat was a truly unique and relaxing experience. Waking up to gentle waves and lake views was unforgettable. The boat was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Perfect for a quiet retreat in nature, highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy life on the water.

This is a special experience for sure, staying at Patti's place! To "live" inside a gorgeous church was something new and fun. It is an easy, fast walk to the Village Market and the 1883 restaurant. 5 min drive to the park and wineries. We had kids ages 4 through 10 and all of the kids loved it, from some new board games we discovered (we could stay for weeks and play board games!) to the fun bean bag chairs, it was delightful. The kitchen was fully equipped, and there were plenty of bathrooms - each one different and unique. My four year old woke up the second morning and shouted three times "can we LIVE here?" 'nough said.

Amazing location along the lake that's also close to campus. We were there for a weekend late spring, just as the leaves came back. It was great to be surrounded by beautiful bright green one day and heavy fog the next. Thanks for having us!

We were in town for our son's graduation from Hobart and wanted a place on the lake to enjoy the waterviews and peace during a hectic weekend. Laura's place has great views of the water and is beautiful, cozy and comfortable inside. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and snacks in the fridge when we arrived. The house has everything you need including a well-stocked kitchen and lots of extras in the bathrooms if you forget something. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate and it was a bit cold and windy, so we mostly enjoyed Seneca Lake from indoors! We did use the hottub and enjoyed that and she does provide hottub towels right by the back door so you don't have to worry about bringing extra with you. We'd love to try it again in better weather!!
