Rural Norfolk Chapel Retreat

Close to Cromer and its lovely beach, historic market town of Aylsham, National Trust Blickling and Felbrigg (15 mins). A newly renovated 19th Century Wesleyan Chapel with beautiful views over common land, currently full of orchids and flag irises. Daily we see a barn owl, wood peckers, kestrels, and a range of small birds. This is a beautiful area for walking and cycling. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids). Wifi installed but slow.

Set in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, guests can relax in front of the wood burner or soak up the sun in the pretty private garden after a day exploring the beautiful North Norfolk coast or historic city of Norwich. The Georgian town of Holt and the Broads National Park are also just a short distance away. We are perfect for a weekend away or longer stay at any time of the year.

Back Lane Cottage tucked away in a Norfolk hamlet

You will find Back Lane Cottage tucked away in a lane in a hamlet called Eastgate. It is a two bedroom, fully renovated old property with lovely field views and is pet friendly. Downstairs is an open plan kitchen, dining and living area as well as a bathroom that has a shower over the bath. There is lots of storage space and there is a TV with Sky in the living area. Upstairs one bedroom has a king size bed and the other has two single beds. Between them is a toilet with hand basin.

The Annexe at Diggens Farmhouse is a newly renovated space with fully fitted kitchen, modern bathroom and comfortable double bedroom. There is private parking and we offer a welcome pack of bread, butter and milk plus tea and coffee making facilities and WIFI. Aylsham is midway between Norwich and Cromer and 10 miles from the Broads and close to Blickling Hall. We are 10 minutes walk from Aylsham Town Centre and 5 minutes from M&S Simply Food. 2 night minimum stay at weekends.

Older cottage type so steep narrow stairs and low doorways. Suitable for couple or with one child. Free car park across the road. 30 minutes drive to north Norfolk coast, local to National Trust houses and lots of walking trails.

Fabulous location, Perfect for the family, dogs, walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers. This delightful brick and flint riverside cottage is located on the edge of Aylsham, a historic medieval market town nine miles north of Norwich and only 15-20 min drive to the North Norfolk Coast. Mash’s Row contains a selection of pretty cottages that back onto a tributary of the river Bure.
