The homestead is truly an ex-libris from the Marvão region. Those who seek tranquility with all comfort and wrapped in the magic of the climate of the Serra do Alentejo, here you can enjoy an unparalleled peace. The house is super comfortable, well equipped and with all the requirements met to spend a few days with family or friends. The very spacious bedrooms all with well-equipped living room and kitchen, an unobstructed outdoor space with plenty of shade, and a generous pool always useful on hot days. All this in the middle of many fruit trees and with the mountains serving as a postcard. With regard to the hostess, Inês, was always very kind, worried that we would feel at home and always ready to help with any questions. Definitely an experience to repeat.

TerraFazBem proves its conviction written on its behalf. The land is really good for you and it was extremely good for me while I was there. Jorge and Maria are amazing hosts, helpful and with a good taste for plants, aromas, decorations and lives in general present in this space. TerraFazBem has a beautiful river made of Sever waters and another river that flows with peace, joy, inspiration, gratitude and impeccable thoughts, lightly. I look forward to returning ❤️🙏

We were 2 couples staying in this lovely spacious home within the walls of Marvao. Loved being able to explore the castle and its walls simply by exiting the house. Driving the streets can be very challenging but if you are a skilled driver it can be done, otherwise, immediately after entering the castle wall, stop in front of the tourist office and carry luggage up the stairs the lead you directly to the house. Then park in the public car park. The house has many bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and functional kitchen. Highly recommend this home for your Marvao stay!!!

The house is a dream! It has everything you need! The surrounding land and the views are incredible... Not to mention that it has tradition and very attentive details! Waking up to the sound of birds and flocks of sheep is out of this world! The space outside is also very well maintained and is nice to be with family or friends!

We were just passing through, and only spent one night at Maria’s place. But we were glad we did ! We had a very warm and personal welcome from Maria and Jose. They showed us around and we had a very friendly conversation. And to top it off : the swimming was great to relax after a full day of travel 🙂. Highly recommend !

Beautiful place and surroundings, cozy home with many rooms and plenty of space. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment aswell. The only thing to note, even though it was rented in winter time, was the state of the pool. We recommend at least covering the swimming pool.

João is an excellent host and the stopover he offers is worth every money. Communication was flawless and hassle-free, very warmly answering any of my questions. The neighborhood is beautiful and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who would like to take a break away from the hustle and bustle of cities. The room itself was very tidy, hygienic, clean, agreed to the description and photos, worth the price. I highly recommend it.

Great spot for a few days of rest. The house is very cute and has a fantastic view. Near the house is a very nice river beach.

My family and I loved our stay at António's house. We hope to go back there one day. Our host went out of his way to make us feel welcome, he helped us settle in and even took us on a small tour of the neighbourhood. He had great suggestions for walks in the area, a beautiful area, that we took him up on. The beautiful house is perfect for a family of 5 or 6, we were very comfortable. The fireplace heats the house up very well and there are even additional electric heaters in case guests need a bit more heat. Refugio da Maceira is set in a gorgeous spot, about 2 kms in from the main road. It may seem lost in the countryside but nearby towns are easily and quickly reached. It is well worth the stay. If you love small villages, country houses, nature, peace and quiet I definitely recommend António's house. Thank you António for everything!

A really lovely place, great for a quiet countryside escape.

Very private space totally fenced ideal for which has pets. Corresponds exactly with the described and the photos. The host always responded promptly. The house was excellent at all levels, cleaned with all amenities and privacy, being located in an extremely quiet area. Easy access to supermarket and restaurants. The family enjoyed the holidays in which we were able to rest well and enjoy nature. That said, it remains to thank Mr. Sónia and also to Mr. Joaquina, who welcomed us with all the sympathy.

Unique place for those looking to have a good time in tranquility and peace. We were very well received and our stay was really enjoyable! Unique experience with all the animals and wonderful scenery, not forgetting the features of the house that almost take us on a trip through time. Our stay at this incredible house in Castelo de Vide was absolutely perfect! The house is spacious, charming, and filled with character and history, making it an ideal retreat for our entire family. We were all amazed by the stunning view over Castelo de Vide from the house – it truly took our breath away every morning. The large, beautiful kitchen was a standout feature for us. It is well-equipped and perfect for preparing family meals, with plenty of space for everyone to pitch in and cook together. The historic charm of the kitchen added a special touch to our experience. The bedrooms were comfortable and well-appointed. The living areas were cozy and welcoming, with enough room for everyone to relax and unwind. The pool was a highlight, with sun beds and umbrellas, and warm water at the end of the day, with the solar exposure. The host was incredibly hospitable and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. We highly recommend this wonderful home.
