Penacova, the county seat, is 10 minutes away. You can visit the pergola and Penedo de Castro, with unique views over the Mondego River, and it also offers several walking trails. You will stay on our lovely farm, sharing with no other guests. Close to The Serra da Estrela Mountains, lots of beautiful river beaches and historical cities. It is a traditional, cozy and private granite cottage situated in a quiet river valley surrounded by woodland, birds and wildlife, with EXCLUSIVE use of our salt water pool. the house is good for couples, families (with kids) we do not charge more during holiday times, same great price all year, and pets (but please check first).

Among the services we offer is breakfast, which is optional (8€ a day, per person).

Our authentically renovated, stone village house is located in the quiet and friendly village of Andorinha in Central Portugal. We created a modern space with as much comfort as possible yet keeping the eccentricity of the house. Make sure you take advantage of the wood burning hot tub and enjoy a few hours soaking, while sipping on a nice glass of wine. IMPORTANT TO KNOW: The downstairs large bedroom is accessed externally through the front courtyard NOT from inside the house.

Three schist houses being restored at the village of Cunqueiros, in the municipality of Proença-a-Nova, form the Casas da Encosta project. Here it’s possible to relive the life history and culture of the region’s people in the comfort of a typical Portuguese village. According to the owner, Nuno Caldeira, the houses are being restored following the local construction tradition where schist, clay and wood are featured. One of them, Casa da Lagariça, has already opened.
