Historical Vintage Villa Within a Mountain and Castle

Rediscover mid-century modern aesthetics at this vintage inspired home. The residence features warm woods, contrasting textures and motifs, light hues, a floating staircase, a minimalist interior design approach, and rooftop views from the balcony to the castle and mountains. Located in the old town, nearby the church of Saint John, you will find the area quiet and silent, all you need to spend some relaxing days. Casa do Adro offers all the amenities of a new modern house, but with the retro/vintage touch and comfort. On the ground floor we have a fully vintage style equipped kitchen with dish washer, laundry, living room and service toilet. There is a big table where 8 people can comfortably sit for dinner, and where we daily serve breakfast with Regional fruit, home made jams, juice and locally bread. The living room offers a nice flat TV and sofa. You can go through 100 international channels, or simply rest or read a book, inside or outside on the terrace. The first floor has two rooms, both with double bed. The bathroom is shared between the two rooms and each room offers air conditioning and splendid views over the mountains and the castle of Porto de Mós. Guests will have access to the whole house. I have limited availability, even though I am reachable 24 hours on the phone and email. Whenever I can, and if my guests feel like, I enjoy a good chat and get to know people. Sharing experiences makes part of the Airbnb concept. The Villa do Adro is located in the historical area of Porto de Mós village. Guests can easily walk to places of interest such as Porto de Mós Castle, the town hall square, and the Serra de Aire and Candeeiros Natural Parks with great trails, caves and views. Parking is always available by the house. The walk to the Village takes 5 mins, and from there you can take buses to the main attractions (Nazaré, Leiria, Fátima, Batalha, etc). We will get in touch with the guests to arrange the check in.

We stayed for three nights and had a wonderful experience. The house is very cozy, spacious, and perfect for a family of up to four. It’s extremely well-equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay—from kitchen essentials to household appliances. The parking space is conveniently located right outside the house, which is especially valuable for travelers with a car and luggage—it made unloading very easy. The location is also excellent, with less than a 40-minute drive to Nazaré. Most importantly, the hosts are incredibly kind and hospitable. They were always quick to respond to any questions or messages, which made communication smooth and reassuring. Their warmth truly made a difference and added a personal touch to our stay. Thank you for a lovely experience—we hope to return again!

The location is excellent, within walking distance to grocery stores and a bakery; easy driving distance to downtown, beaches and Sítio. The pool was lovely and the beds very comfortable for our group. Paula was easy to reach and very responsive. Nazaré was my favorite place in all of our Portuguese adventures and cannot wait to go back.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Das Gelände ist weitläufig und steht zur alleinigen Nutzung zur Verfügung. Das inkludiert auch den Pool und die Außenküche, in der man toll grillen kann. Die Familie von Marcelo ist tagsüber lediglich dort um sich um die Tiere zu kümmern. Wir haben sie teils gar nicht gesehen oder mitbekommen. Auch wenn wir es nicht schlimm gefunden hätten denn Die ganze Familie ist sehr nett und hat uns freundlich empfangen. Der Bungalow ist sehr geräumig und war äußerst sauber. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und wir haben nichts vermisst um zu kochen. Ich denke es ist klar, wenn man sich die Karte anschaut, aber zum nächsten Ort (Cafés, Restaurants, Strand, Supermarkt) braucht man ein Auto- die Fahrt war aber keine 10 Minuten. Uns hat es nicht gestört. Im Gegenteil, wir fanden die Ruhe sehr angenehm.
