Cottage vacation rentals in Carpathian Mountains

We were able to spend the weekend in a very nice and calm environment, I can only recommend it!

We had a fantastic week at the house. The place is surrounded by nature with lots of birds and butterflies. The house itself is fully furnished and feels very comfortable. From the house, we have made several beautiful walks. Communication with the host was excellent and easy. We felt completely at home there. Let me not forget the wonderful Jacuzzi.

Zuzanna is a great host: quick to respond & hugely helpful. The property itself is in a stunning location and very peaceful. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well equipped. A few suggestions as to how it could be made even better - these are meant to be constructive rather than critical! It would be great if guests could control the temperature of the property themselves. It was cold outside (-10) but we don't like a hot house, and as we couldn't control the thermostat ourselves, we had to keep messaging Zuzanna to ask her to adjust it. She was super fast to help but I wish we hadn't needed to bother her. It would also have been great to have a washing machine! And one final point: there is a double bedroom downstairs, and beds for up to four people upstairs. "Upstairs" is in fact really a mezzanine accessed by an almost vertical ladder staircase. We were fine but families with small children / elderly relatives would have really struggled - this isn't in the photos.

We spent a wonderful stay at this dreamy cottage! The area is absolutely gorgeous with a breath taking view — a real corner of heaven for anyone looking for tranquility, relaxation and an authentic connection with nature. The cottage is tastefully arranged, with every detail carefully thought out to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts were unbelievably kind and hospitable, always available to help us with anything we needed. Their professionalism and warmth made the experience even more special. We will definitely come back with great love to this fairytale place!

We were a group of six people staying at Pavlinas Chalet and had a wonderful time there. The house is very cosy and furnished and decorated with love. Especially the garden and the nature around the house are incredible! Everything looks just like in the photos and even better. They even have a homemade outdoor playarea to play a game called russian skittles, a Czech game for which Pavlinas daughter was so kind and took the time to translate the rules for us. But the amazing service didn't stop there! They provided a delicious coffee from a small local roastery. All in all a perfect vacation in a beautiful place with super friendly hosts. We can only recommend a visit!

We very much enjoyed our stay and would like to come back again. The house has everything that you can think of: dishwasher (very useful), washing machine, a juicer, coffee maker, an oven, fireplace, massage chair, big fridge and freezer, lounge chairs for relaxing on the terrace or garden, hammocks, badminton, fresbee, games, jacuzzi, a very nice terrace, a swing, a grill, lots and lots of green space etc. You can buy eggs or handmade products made with care like tomatoe paste, pesto, jam, syrups and much more. If you are lucky you can spot deers, rabbits and badgers on the property. Very peaceful place, very clean, private, a great place to recharge and reconnect with nature in all the comfort you need.

The only thing I regret is not staying one more night. We arrived to Brasina right after Beograd. Chilling by the river and listening to the birds chirping in beatiful surroundings was just the medecine we needed. Thank you, Nikola!

Great place for BBQ and afternoon party with family and friends. There is a lot of stuff for kids to do and they loved the place.

Nemanja’s place was amazing - very tastefully done and very well maintained. The location was great with a great view - we love sunsets and this was one of the best ones. It all felt like Tuscany! Swimming pool was great with a really cosy seating area around it! Would love to come back next year

Hai La Saivan is a magical experience for people with an adventurous spirit looking to disconnect from the outer world and connect with the self, other guests and the host / staff. You are literally staying on top of a hill, with breathtaking views, completely remote. Only access is by the host’s cars (you will see why when you get there), all the staff lives in a village close by, not on the property, so over night you and other guests are 100% by yourselves. We’ve never experienced something similar so far. The accomodation is better than the photos, the food is delicious and the staff is super friendly. Whatever you need, they will provide it for you. Thank you Raluca for an amazing experience. We were very happy with everything and mom was over the moon, which was our goal for her 60th birthday ❤️ We will be back 100%. Andra

beautiful cosy little cottage, feels very private. exceptionally friendly and generous hosts (they let us borrow their washing machine and were very helpful with directions and advice). Compact but well equipped kitchen. Roads to reach the cottage are very small, so I wouldn't advise a big car.

Perfect Place for a Stay with a Large Dog! We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful and peaceful location. It’s absolutely perfect if you’re traveling with a large dog—there’s plenty of space, and the surrounding nature is ideal for long walks. The area is quiet, scenic, and full of charm, with hiking trails and interesting sights just a short distance away. Helena, the host, was wonderful—always quick to respond, incredibly kind, and very friendly. She made us feel truly welcome, and her hospitality really added to our experience. We would definitely come back again!

The accommodation is beautiful and very clean. We enjoyed arriving with the fireplace already lit. Additionally, to make it easier to find the cottage, the host had left the outdoor garland on. It helped us a lot at night. To easily find the accommodation, I recommend putting the GPS at the address indicated and then trusting the Airbnb map. The location in the heart of nature allows for real calm. Easy to park car in front of the house. Le Grizzli pizza restaurant is very good and nearby. A real favorite! I recommend it :)

I must say it was the best vacation we have ever booked through Airbnb. The private pond is very special, which we also used every day. In addition, there is a real pool. I also found the herd of sheep to the neighboring property, which you could pet. Furthermore, there are 4 cats on the property, so if you have children, there is always one to play. Very good Hungarian restaurants are nearby, which are great value for money. The hosts Susann, Othmar and Tibor are super nice, know each other and try to make everything possible. I recommend having a trip organized by carriage. Here you are guided by a local through forests and the children are even allowed to steer themselves. Overall, I highly recommend the hosts and the property.

If I could give a higher rating I would definitely do that. Peaceful, beautiful landscapes, direct access to water and dog friendly. Our dog felt immediately like at home. Amazing place to run away from city noises. Zsolt is a top notch host - responsive, friendly and made sure that our stay is excellent at any time. THANK YOU! Will definitely return. Would love to see that place in winter ❄️☃️

Tom’s AirBnB is absolutely beautiful. The location is in the middle of a vineyard, the house beautifully decorated and has all amenities. The two terraces offer great space to relax. We really enjoyed the location as it’s quiet but very close to Tihanyi, Balatonfüred and other small villages along Balaton. Tom met us in the village to show us the way to the house and had really nice recommendations of restaurants and local markets. The communication with him was very friendly and he is a great host. All in all we had a perfect week.
