Wow! First time on Tortola. It was great. Our villa was just as described ~ spotless and all that we needed. However; the gem of the place is the host! Jerry is so gracious, accommodating and humble. He will assist you with any need. His cafe/bar is an asset to the experience. I would recommend Ke Villas to everyone. We will return without a doubt.

We loved our little jungle home. The place was very special. The beach and water were wonderful for the kids. Ramon and family were also very welcoming. The home got a little hot at night but we adjustment after the first night. Thank you for a wonderful stay

This stay was special in exactly the way we thought it would be. You’re sleeping right in the middle of the jungle, but protected with a net on the bed. You can hear all sorts of animals throughout the night and day which enhances your experience. The restaurant on the grounds is magnificent and has amazing food. Our host Megan was so supportive and proactive with our constant change in travel plans. She also helped setting up a guide to hike the volcano as well as took care of our ferry tickets to come in (we did ourselves for the way back due to last minute changes and it was a huge pain) Overall, if you’re looking to be immersed in nature on an island with several good restaurants and plenty of things to do. This stay is perfectly located for that and offers great value for the price.

Het was een heel fijn en relaxed verblijf. Danita is heel vriendelijk en gezellig om mee te kletsen. We voelden ons welkom! We verbleven de eerste helft van onze vakantie in Jan Thiel en daarna bij de Mondi Lodge. Deze combinatie was heel fijn. We zouden dit verblijf aanraden aan familie en vrienden!

Johanna's place is a real oasis. There were many things that made it feel so: sleeping so close to the river, being able to wake up and walk down to the water, cooking in the open kitchen with a view, finding stillness in the garden so easily, practicing movement in the open shala while enjoying all the shades of green, the singing birds, the howling monkeys... Johanna was helpful and responsive in preparation of and during my stay. Her recommendations were spot on. I was also able to take a yoga class with her and other locals, which was really nice. The location is really good too: isolated enough from the busyness, but close to Guadalajara, Nuevo Arenal and Tilaran. This place is a hidden gem, I cannot believe how lucky I was to stumble upon it here. If you're doubting whether to book a stay here, just do it.

This place was totally amazing!! Best vacation and stay ever!! We were two friends traveling together, one kiter and the other did not kite, and we both loved this place. We both had one of our best traveling experiences ever at this place! All the people and dogs working at this place are so lovely and welcoming - they will help you plan activities and everything to make your stay the best one ever. Buen Hombre is super nice for kiting, for both experienced kiters, and beginners. If you are an experienced kiters I will totally recommend you to ask Riin if they can arrange any downwinders or the 7 island kite trip. If you are a kiter, book the whole trip through Riin, that's at least what I will do the next time I go to Domanican Republic. They have a place both in Cabarete and Buen Hombre, and can help you flex between the two places! They also arrange a lot of really fun trips and activities you can join! Both of us will definitely come back to this place!

El hospedaje es tal cual como se muestra en las fotos, la cabaña estaba impecable, el sistema del techo corredizo para ver las estrellas en la noche es innovador. Jinela es una excelente anfitriona, siempre estuvo pendiente. La comida estuvo deliciosa, la relación precio calidad es adecuada.

Comme annoncé par les commentaires des invités précédents que j' ai pu lire, la maison de Luc et Cloguette est un paradis... Et cela est principalement du aux qualités exceptionnelles de Luc et Cloguette. Deux anges descendus du ciel pour vivre la vie au maximum et partager leur savoir vivre, savoir être et leur bienveillance... La classe mondiale... Le genre de rencontre que tout un chacun devrait pouvoir faire une fois dans sa vie... Un profonde source d inspiration. Je me suis senti comme chez mes parents ou grands parents... Je donne 5/5, mais je pense qu il y a de la marge pour avoir 7/5. L humanité de ces hôtes est tellement énorme qu on oublie les petits détails qui auraient pu rendre l espace encore plus attrayant. Mais comme j' ai dit plus haut, c est comme se rendre chez de la famille. J y retournerai très certainement à mon prochain séjour, en espérant que ce couple en or ne sera pas obligé de quitter le pays a cause de la situation sécuritaire.

Our stay in Upala was peaceful and full of beautiful surroundings! The cook, Dinia, was so welcoming and accommodating! The pool was clean and my kids favorite part! Probably could put a weather strip at the bottom of the sliding cabin doors to help keep bugs out but otherwise the cabin and sleeping hearing the rain on the metal roof each night was so memorable!

Mercedes was an incredibly sweet and helpful host, she made us feel right at home from the start. The place itself is peaceful and surrounded by nature, with the sounds of wildlife adding to the relaxing atmosphere. It’s about a 15-minute drive from La Fortuna, and most tours will pick you up directly from the Airbnb, making it super convenient. If you’re looking for a stress-free stay near La Fortuna, I highly recommend this place!

Cara's ecolodge is an amazing place to stay. You are immersed in nature and it's incredibly peaceful there. The waterfall and the river on the property are a huge plus and we enjoyed them both very much. The caretakers and Cara are super friendly and Doña Luz's food down the street was delicious. We wished we could have eaten her meals everyday of the trip! Couldn't recommend this place more!

La Poza Azul provides a little hideaway at the end of the world. If you want privacy away from the hustle and bustle of some of the more touristy areas of the island, this is your spot. There’s plenty of places to relax to enjoy the sun dotting through the trees and the breeze off the lake. I loved how alone I could be, but when I wanted company, it was easy to find. The land here is intense and beautiful. It will take what it needs to take, and give you what you need to receive. I love to camp, so I’m not bothered by lack of AC or bugs or general things that come with living with the outdoors, so mentally prepare for that type of living if you aren’t accustomed. Spike is incredibly hospitable and such a joy to get to know. He patiently and kindly answered my one million questions about Nicaraguan life. I loved the connections I was able to make with the neighbors, as well. The trip to this secluded spot was a HAUL, and Spike was so proactive and helpful in getting me there. <3

Rodolfo sein Häuschen und Grundstück liegen direkt am Cahuita Park. Schon vor der Anreise bekommt man sehr viele Infos was wie wo. Angekommen begrüßte uns seine Freundin und Manfred & Luna (seine Hunde). Alles war sehr schön und man sollte wissen, das men direkt im Dschungel schläft! Brüllaffen, Faultiere und Insekten inkl. Das Frühstück war immer selbst gemacht, landestypisch und frisch - Rodolfo überrascht seine Gäste gern. Der Kaffee nur leeecker und so viel wie man kann… Privatsphäre hat man auch, Rodolfo schläft 50m weiter im eigenen Haus und ist ab und an am Haus herum. Wenn nicht, ist er auf Tour denn er ist Guide; was wir vorher nicht wussten. Eine Kanutour auf dem Fluss oder eine Nachtwanderung durch sein weitläufiges Grundstück sollte man machen. Alles in allem ein perfekter Ort um an der Karibik unmittelbar die Natur zu genießen. Pura Vida

Wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Wurden herzlich empfangen und mit dem Jeep über den Fluss gebracht. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet ! Mitten in der Natur liegt direkt neben der Unterkunft, dass kleine Familien Restaurant, Laurence kocht für die Gäste und von der Mama gibt es die leckere Marmelade zum Frühstück. Nebenan ist der Fluss in dem man Baden kann. Die Familie hat 2 Pferde und Hunde die meist sehr entspannt in der Sonne liegen. Es ist eine kleine Oase mitten bei im Dschungel. Believe all of the 5-star reviews! Malekus Mountain Lodge is pure magic. We were a family of ten ranging in age from 75 to 11, and couldn’t have asked for a better base for our Costa Rican adventures. Each couple had their own room and bathroom which were very clean and comfortable, even without A/C. Fans were provided in every room and it cooled down considerably at nighttime. The communal space, living room and pool area are amazing, and the gardens, trails, bridges and ponds are absolutely stunning. We couldn’t believe how lucky we were to have the place all to ourselves and experience the hospitality of Roger and Rosie and their dog, Bruno. They were wonderful hosts, providing delicious breakfasts, insights into the flora and fauna, and recommendations for restaurants, activities and guides that truly felt authentic - we were usually the only North Americans around. Being conversational in Spanish is helpful. Rent a 4WD and be ready for adventure!

Es un lugar muy bonito, está a 300 metros de la cuadra principal. La piscina es agradable y los cuartos cuentan con baño privado y aire acondicionado. Tienen “hora de silencio” desde las 11 pm, por lo cual no dejan poner música ni nada a esas horas, los desayunos son deliciosos. Nos pareció que son más amables con los extranjeros que con los colombianos… pero siempre un trato muy cordial y respetuoso.

It was a great experience to be hosted by Felix! We had a very warm welcome and lots of talks, Felix is vey helpful and generous. The place is a beautiful garden with lovely animals, a super pool for the pleasure of my daughter included. Thank you very much, Felix! Nuit en chinchorro à la fois authentique et spartiate. J’ai été très bien accueilli, le restaurant était très bon et le lieu toujours propre.
