Wow! First time on Tortola. It was great. Our villa was just as described ~ spotless and all that we needed. However; the gem of the place is the host! Jerry is so gracious, accommodating and humble. He will assist you with any need. His cafe/bar is an asset to the experience. I would recommend Ke Villas to everyone. We will return without a doubt.

We loved our little jungle home. The place was very special. The beach and water were wonderful for the kids. Ramon and family were also very welcoming. The home got a little hot at night but we adjustment after the first night. Thank you for a wonderful stay

This stay was special in exactly the way we thought it would be. You’re sleeping right in the middle of the jungle, but protected with a net on the bed. You can hear all sorts of animals throughout the night and day which enhances your experience. The restaurant on the grounds is magnificent and has amazing food. Our host Megan was so supportive and proactive with our constant change in travel plans. She also helped setting up a guide to hike the volcano as well as took care of our ferry tickets to come in (we did ourselves for the way back due to last minute changes and it was a huge pain) Overall, if you’re looking to be immersed in nature on an island with several good restaurants and plenty of things to do. This stay is perfectly located for that and offers great value for the price.

We loved our stay! Perfectly peaceful and very integrated with nature. Even have some donkey’s to pet! Loved breakfast under the veranda. Pool was delightfully deep. Danita was super responsive, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about things to do all across the island.

Johanna's place is a real oasis. There were many things that made it feel so: sleeping so close to the river, being able to wake up and walk down to the water, cooking in the open kitchen with a view, finding stillness in the garden so easily, practicing movement in the open shala while enjoying all the shades of green, the singing birds, the howling monkeys... Johanna was helpful and responsive in preparation of and during my stay. Her recommendations were spot on. I was also able to take a yoga class with her and other locals, which was really nice. The location is really good too: isolated enough from the busyness, but close to Guadalajara, Nuevo Arenal and Tilaran. This place is a hidden gem, I cannot believe how lucky I was to stumble upon it here. If you're doubting whether to book a stay here, just do it.

The accommodation is as shown in the photos, the cabin was impeccable, the sliding roof system to see the stars at night is innovative. Jinela is an excellent host, she was always attentive. The food was delicious, the value for money is adequate.

As announced by the comments of previous guests that I have read, Luc and Cloguette's house is a paradise... And this is mainly due to the exceptional qualities of Luc and Cloguette. Two angels descended from heaven to live life to the fullest and share their savoir vivre, savoir être and their benevolence... World class... The kind of encounter that everyone should be able to have once in a lifetime... A deep source of inspiration. I felt like I was at my parents' or grandparents' house... I give 5/5, but I think there is room for 7/5. The humanity of these hosts is so great that we forget the small details that could have made the space even more attractive. But as I said above, it's like going to a family home. I will certainly return for my next stay, hoping that this golden couple will not be forced to leave the country because of the security situation.

Our stay in Upala was peaceful and full of beautiful surroundings! The cook, Dinia, was so welcoming and accommodating! The pool was clean and my kids favorite part! Probably could put a weather strip at the bottom of the sliding cabin doors to help keep bugs out but otherwise the cabin and sleeping hearing the rain on the metal roof each night was so memorable!

Mercedes was an incredibly sweet and helpful host, she made us feel right at home from the start. The place itself is peaceful and surrounded by nature, with the sounds of wildlife adding to the relaxing atmosphere. It’s about a 15-minute drive from La Fortuna, and most tours will pick you up directly from the Airbnb, making it super convenient. If you’re looking for a stress-free stay near La Fortuna, I highly recommend this place!

La Poza Azul provides a little hideaway at the end of the world. If you want privacy away from the hustle and bustle of some of the more touristy areas of the island, this is your spot. There’s plenty of places to relax to enjoy the sun dotting through the trees and the breeze off the lake. I loved how alone I could be, but when I wanted company, it was easy to find. The land here is intense and beautiful. It will take what it needs to take, and give you what you need to receive. I love to camp, so I’m not bothered by lack of AC or bugs or general things that come with living with the outdoors, so mentally prepare for that type of living if you aren’t accustomed. Spike is incredibly hospitable and such a joy to get to know. He patiently and kindly answered my one million questions about Nicaraguan life. I loved the connections I was able to make with the neighbors, as well. The trip to this secluded spot was a HAUL, and Spike was so proactive and helpful in getting me there. <3

Rodolfo's cottage and property are right by Cahuita Park. Even before you arrive, you get a lot of information about where. Arrived, his girlfriend and Manfred & Luna (his dogs) greeted us. Everything was very nice and you should know that they sleep right in the jungle! Howler monkeys, sloths and insects incl. The breakfast was always homemade, typical of the country and fresh - Rodolfo likes to surprise his guests. The coffee is just delicious and as much as you can... You also have privacy, Rodolfo sleeps 50m further in your own house and is around the house from time to time. If not, he's on tour because he's a guide; which we didn't know before. You should take a canoe trip on the river or a night hike through its extensive property. All in all a perfect place to immediately enjoy nature in the Caribbean. Pura Vida

Nice place! We enjoyed the deck with hammocks, lovely garden, great views. Lots of birds. The room is really small for two people (plus baggage) and as others have mentioned you can hear other guests quite well. There are about 4 guest rooms total, I think, with shared balcony. Lizeth kindly recommended a taxi driver to us so the arrival was easy. Note the location is uphill from town so it feels a bit difficult to get in & out of town without taking a moto. Pozo Encantada nearby is very nice and there are a couple restaurants near. A bit of noise from the road. Lizeth and other hosts were friendly and we enjoyed our time. Thanks!

The area is very quiet and with a lot of nature

We felt very comfortable right away. We were warmly welcomed and taken across the river by jeep. The food was excellent! In the middle of nature, right next to the accommodation, is the small family restaurant, Laurence cooks for the guests and the mom makes delicious jam for breakfast. Next door is the river where you can swim. The family has 2 horses and dogs who usually lie very relaxed in the sun. It's a little oasis in the middle of the jungle. We really enjoyed it! Believe all of the 5-star reviews! Malekus Mountain Lodge is pure magic. We were a family of ten ranging in age from 75 to 11, and couldn’t have asked for a better base for our Costa Rican adventures. Each couple had their own room and bathroom which were very clean and comfortable, even without A/C. Fans were provided in every room and it cooled down considerably at nighttime. The communal space, living room and pool area are amazing, and the gardens, trails, bridges and ponds are absolutely stunning. We couldn’t believe how lucky we were to have the place all to ourselves and experience the hospitality of Roger and Rosie and their dog, Bruno. They were wonderful hosts, providing delicious breakfasts, insights into the flora and fauna, and recommendations for restaurants, activities and guides that truly felt authentic - we were usually the only North Americans around. Being conversational in Spanish is helpful. Rent a 4WD and be ready for adventure!

Very nice and quiet place to rent. It was perfect for me and my friend who wanted peace and quiet but be close to the main. The place was well taken care of, the staff were very nice. Would go back there again!

It was a great experience to be hosted by Felix! We had a very warm welcome and lots of talks, Felix is vey helpful and generous. Night in a chinchorro that was both authentic and spartan. I was hosted very well, the restaurant was very good and the place was always clean.
