Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Caribbean Netherlands

Saba was a great vacation spot, and Compass Cottage was the perfect villa for us. People coming to Saba should be aware that this was not a lie-on-the-beach Caribbean vacation. You walk everywhere, and the hiking/walking can be rigorous (but beautiful). The walk to/from town is about 12 minutes, (but it is a bit of a climb up the hill). Windward Side is definitely where you want to stay. Compass Cottage was a relaxing and private home for a week. Mark was very responsive and helpful. The Saba community is warm and welcoming. Highly recommend Compass Cottage - and Saba!

The house is very good in terms of location. The city center, shops, restaurants etc. Everything is walkable about a 10-minute walk. Everything in the house in terms of amenities is there. I liked the interior of the home, with the high ceilings. As well as the spaces in all rooms are large. I had a relaxing time in a quiet area. Thank you Ruthgainy.

Gert is very friendly. The Place is in a great location and only about a 1 minute walk to the Ocean (and dive site "the Cliff"). There is a grocery store right across the street also. It gets dusty in Bonaire with the Trade Wind blowing all the time so if you are staying for a long period ask Gert about a house cleaner (he knows someone with very reasonably rates). Parking can be tough during business hours (lots of workers around) so be patient. Lots of parking tends to be available after 3-4pm. For digital nomads... Internet is 27.5 down/5.5 up on average (we had no trouble with video meetings). I will stay there again!!

Great stay at Saba. Exactly as described, clean and comfortable. This Airbnb goes the extra mile with providing 2 sets of towels and beach towels. I highly recommend this stay as an alternative to a hotel - it is located around the corner from a supermarket, restaurants and SeaSaba dive shop. You can organize a dive and get picked up straight from the shop with no extra cost. There are also trails that start close by. Special surprise: there is a museum and a playground adjusted to the backyard with chickens and bunnies running around. This was a dream for our 4 year old and although Saba is not the easiest place to travel with kids, I found that Michal’s place, it’s surroundings and friendly neighbors made it an unforgettable experience for all 3 of us.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, comfortable and spacious. We especially loved the backyard pool and being able to walk out and jump in the ocean for some nice snorkeling. The host was receptive to any questions and very helpful. Overall, a wonderful experience.

From the moment we exited the airport upon arrival, Fenna was there to assist us with any questions we had. So nice to have a friendly face meeting us, and it was very helpful to follow her to the house, and have a quick tour. The place is so tastefully done! Don’t let the fact that the home is made of two sea containers dissuade you. You can’t tell! It’s cool and decorations were top-of-the-line. The location is within 1.5 miles of the main area of the Kralendijk. We rented a truck and were so glad for this as the roads are rough on the island, AND we wanted to tour Washington National Park. Grocery stores are plentiful, and several are a quick drive/walk around the corner. We loved the early mornings sitting by the pool, watching the sunrise. We found it very private as the landscaping is quite lush, and growing fast! We did hear chickens, donkeys, and a neighbor kid’s motor bike, but we brought a sound machine, and had undisturbed sleep. We SO look forward to returning!

Stayed at Villa Mac again this year. Great central location and easy 12 minute access to Lac Bay.

AMAZING IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE! The location is perfect..can walk to best Dutch Market for food shopping or driving there is 2 min! 5 min drive to downtown, 15-20 minute drives to dive/snorkel spots! The lil apartment is so clean and cozy and all basic amenities are provided (tp, dish soap, trash bags). We kept the windows closed when we were out and open when we were there..ALL windows covered so no mosquitos/bugs....hardly used the AC as the wind is constant! David and his wife are beautiful and kind hosts. They are quiet and give you privacy, but are also right there and available for anything! They both surprised me with singing and music for my bday..very special wonderful people! We feel like we found the BEST STAY in BONAIRE and we will be returning and only staying here! The most magical snorkeling/diving stay ever and we have ben all over the world! It felt like we were right at home and we were sad to leave. Oh, and the bed is SO comfortable! Perfect place for a couple!! A++++

Will and Astrid were INCREDIBLY responsive, even granting us extra time for checkout on our last day (we had a later flight and it was so nice to be able to stay in the apartment rather than hang out at the airport for hours). Will also very responsive when we had some issues getting the induction cooktop to work (it had been accidentally locked). Overall great experience. I will say the area is very safe but wasn't the greatest for my husband (a runner) and myself (a walker) as the nearest road is muddy, lacks sidewalks, and is quite busy. We heard a lot of cars in the night. Location is fantastic, though, for grocery stores, the airport, Te Amo beach and just getting around quickly. A dive shop is across the parking lot.

Wonderful hosts that are very responsive and helpful. Nice location, and private. Our primary purpose was scuba diving. The West coast is 1 mile away so it is easy to get to all the dive sites on the West Coast.

Arno and Danita are very sweet people. They're actually there day and night to help you where needed. They also make time for you to have a nice chat, very nice as a solo traveler! The atmosphere on the property is also really suitable for Bonaire; wonderfully quiet. There has also been no nuisance from noise at all or other forms of nuisance at all. The studio I stayed in was super clean+ fresh and with the air conditioning at 27 degrees it was also quickly wonderfully cool. For me, at least one thing is for sure: For a possible next vacation to Bonaire, I will definitely stay with Woodz :)

We loved being at Christine's condo. It was peaceful and charming. The airport is right across the street but believe me when I say you won't even really notice it. We snorkeled right out front a few times. It's a convenient location just outside of the busier "downtown" area of Kralendijk. Christine offers SO many recommendations and is very responsive. We left a little piece of our hearts on Bonaire.

I stayed here for a month and Everything about my stay was amazing - the place itself, the cleanliness, location. Karen and her husband were very kind and helpful and always willing to answer any questions I had right away. I would definitely come back again and recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Bonaire!

The location of this property is absolutely stunning. It has a better beach, arguably, than the expensive resorts where we've stayed in the past... it might actually have one of the best beaches on the entire island – it's white and sandy, and the snorkeling is top-notch. Even though we loved all our various excursions on the island, you almost don't even have to leave this property because it's on one of the nicest stretches of beach you will find. From our unit on the 2nd floor, we enjoyed the most gorgeous "golden hour" you've ever seen in your life, every evening at sunset. It was picture-perfect to have dinner out on the balcony, watching the sun set over the ocean. By the way, PHOTOS OF A LIFETIME were taken right from our balcony. We will absolutely be back.

We stayed here for a week and had such a great time! The apartment was spacious, comfortable, nicely decorated, and very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we slept great while we were there. The ocean view was gorgeous and we loved eating or just relaxing on the patio! The location is also very walkable and was close to most of the tours we did and restaurants we ate at. The beach in front of the place is very easy to get to and was good for snorkeling. Debby was a helpful and responsive host and had good recommendations. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone and we will probably try to stay here again when we come back to Bonaire. Fantastic spot on the island! The view is incredible and it’s just close enough to town to enjoy restaurants but also far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet! We came on a diving vacation so we found the rinse tank available on-site extremely useful. We also really enjoyed the fact that this place is very well stocked. It has a fully stocked kitchen, bathrooms, lots of bath & beach towels, shopping bags etc. They even have a cooler which we used to keep our drinks and snacks cold during the day when out driving from dive site to dive site. This place is also very close to our favourite restaurant (El Bigote - must try!!) on the island so it was very convenient. Karin was incredible in welcoming us and gave us a lot of information about the island when we arrived. We will definitely be back!

This was a fanastic place to stay for our first trip to Bonaire. We loved the gorgeous ocean views from the rooftop as well as the private little beach area. It was in a very convenient location and close to plenty of restaurants. The welcome gift in the refrigerator was amazing and so helpful! Everything was amazing!

I must say, one of the best BnB stays I have ever had. The hosts welcome you, show you everything upon arrival, answer all questions, and are always responsive! Such a beautiful family, so sweet! Bonaire is gorgeousss but having such a comfortable and cozy stay made it even better. It’s all about the little things and they thought about it. Had soap to wash clothes, salt pepper to cook, and welcoming bevs. A Lot of places won’t think of these things and have you purchase everything from Scratch right off the plane so deff recommend! The Pool is gorgeous, the location is literally a few min from beach and airport, and they leave a sheet with all info for the house and #’s incase of emergency or take out! Clean and prestige baby, deff coming back

The accommodations at Blue Vibes were better than advertised. The well-appointed two-bedroom condo has a stunning oceanfront view and all the accouterments you would expect from a luxury vacation property (strong WiFi, cable TV, kitchen accessories, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee maker, and more!). The location proved to be way better than we expected. We especially liked watching the boats come in and out of the harbor and the short walk to the powdery white sand Te Amo beach to watch the sunset or grab a bite from one of the 3+ tasty food trucks. Locating next to Dive Friend's Port Bonaire location makes boat dive trips, tank pickups, and returns as easy as possible. The proximity to the airport was great. There was a little noise when the airplanes came and went, but it was no big deal as the flights didn't come and go during sleeping hours.
